About the host
Hosted by Wilson Gaythwaite
Clouds Chalet is part of our family-run property, Clouds on Beechmont, which has been welcoming guests to the Scenic Rim since 2004. What began as a small family project has grown into a heartfelt commitment to sharing this remarkable landscape - its beauty, stillness, and abundant wildlife - with others. The Chalet sits beside rehabilitated rainforest and our family run Strelitzia and Clivia flower-farm, overlooking the World Heritage rainforests of Lamington and Springbrook National Parks. The majority of the trees surrounding the venue have been planted by our family as part of our ongoing effort to restore native habitat and create a sanctuary for birds, wallabies, and countless other species. Staying at Clouds Chalet is about more than a place to rest - it’s about experiencing the unique peace that comes from rural living and being close to nature. We invite you to slow down, breathe in the mountain air, and enjoy everything Beechmont has to offer - from bushwalking and birdwatching to local markets, wineries, and quiet nights beneath the stars or amongst the fireflies.
