Laurella Cottage is a beautifully restored 1850's colonial cottage offering complete privacy for couples in the heart of Marlborough Wine Country. Surrounded by established gardens and just minutes from award-winning wineries, vineyard restaurants, Renwick and Blenheim, Laurella is the perfect place to slow down and enjoy everything Marlborough has to offer.

Lovingly restored and decorated by your hosts Dave and Sue, the cottage combines original character with modern comfort. The kitchen and bathroom joinery, together with much of the furniture, has been designed and handcrafted on site with the same care and attention we would put into our own home.

Laurella is exclusively yours throughout your stay, with no shared facilities or neighbouring guests. The separate queen bedroom overlooks the gardens and includes quality linen and robes. The spacious bathroom features a classic claw-foot bath, generous rain shower, heated towel rails and NZ made toiletries.

A fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine, giving you everything you need for a relaxed self-catering stay. Generous breakfast provisions are included, along with fresh eggs from our own chickens and home baking prepared by your hosts.

Garden views can be enjoyed from every room, while outside you will discover plenty of secluded places to relax among the established gardens. Your private courtyard has outdoor dining and a barbecue, making it the perfect place for breakfast in the morning sunshine, alfresco dining or a glass of local Marlborough wine at the end of the day.
Wake to birdsong, relax on the veranda or simply enjoy having the cottage and gardens entirely to yourselves.

Laurella is ideally located for exploring the Marlborough wine region. Award-wining wineries, cellar doors, vineyard restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, The Omaka Aviation Centre, Blenheim and Renwick are all within approximately 10 minutes, After a day of exploring Marlborough, return to the peace and privacy of your own cottage and gardens.

Sue and Dave are nearby if you need anything and are always happy to share their local knowledge and favourite places to visit, while respecting the privacy that makes a stay at Laurella so special.
