Wellfleet retreat

Home is well designed and equipped. Comfortable layout for family gathering and privacy for sleeping. A beautiful and peaceful space. Steps are tricky up to 2 bedrooms and intersection with basement stairs. A lovely base for an outer cape visit with easy access to all surrounding activities.

Property is beautiful and spacious! The kitchen was more stocked than we thought and we were able to cook a ton. The beds were comfy, the place is so well decorated, and the staff was so kind and responsive. There were only 4 hangups, none of which took away from our experience. The dishes and water glasses were gritty/not clean when we arrived (fixed with a very quick wash)There were many little roly pollies in the rooms, not overwhelming and maybe with the weather they had all rushed in, but it was noticeable.The sliding doors definitely stuck - we weren't able to open the one screen at all to make sure the glass door behind it was locked. Not a huge deal since there were so many other doors to open.Could use a few more trash cans in the bedrooms (the bunk-bed room didn't the have any and one of the bathrooms didn't) and tissues, but again, that's a small issue. All just things to keep in mind if you arrive later in the evening and need time to fully settle. We would 100% stay here again.

Beautiful, light filled house. Mosquito haven outside. Literally. We spent no time outside. We’ve been going to the Cape for decades and never saw anything like this. Also, in the past, getting a Town of Wellfleet beach sticker was a breeze. Not with DelMar. They did not have the information required by the town to give me to get a beach sticker. Very, very frustrating. Were it not for the host of my brother’s house rental I would not have had a beach sticker for the week. Delmar didn’t seem to think this was a problem. They told me that they were glad I finally got a beach sticker. Besides these two major problems, my family enjoyed the week. Wellfleet is the best.
