Set on a peaceful 2 acre property, proudly nestled on a modest slope with North facing views of steep Lime Rock clad hills and a pastured Valley to the West gently echoing an invite to explore it's past, you will not find it hard to embrace the tranquility of it all. This cozy retreat offers the perfect escape from the rush of everyday life.

The homesteads upstairs (formally 3 bedrooms), is now one tastefully decorated open plan area, surrounding the exposed hand chiseled limestone chimney stack, and featuring an interior balcony providing a modest view of downstairs. On one side you will find an inviting Super King bed somewhat partitioned off with a view out to the West and a cozy seating area with a charming Northern aspect. On the other side, there is a semi-private Double bed and Single bed with an attractive Easterly outlook. Adjacent to the stairwell you have the convenience of a private en-suite serving the upstairs.

The ground floor (formally having 2 bedrooms) now has one private bedroom with a beautiful superior Queen bed and windows facing South and West with seating, allowing the lounge to have been expanded to a larger fully furnished living room that flows from double french doors onto the expansive sunny wrap around verandah from which to enjoy the decadent views.

You can explore your culinary creativity with a fully equipped homestead style kitchen and dining area, reward yourselves with a deep relaxing soak in the generous downstairs bathroom suite, take a dip in the outside pool, or simply lounge around in yesteryear with the comfort of all the mod cons. The choice is yours!

Designed to accommodate for a range of stays from a romantic weekend for two, to a team building retreat for small work groups or an entire household get away potentially sleeping up to six, this home welcomes you with open arms. Nestled into the hillside opposite the Waipu Caves Scenic Reserve, you are surrounded by a place of outstanding natural beauty.

The melodic calls of resident Tui, the comical antics of the Kereru (NZ pigeon), and even the rare sound of Kiwi in the still of night are a beautiful reminder that here, nature is your constant companion.

Guests at this Timeless Retreat can enjoy exclusive access to the historical homestead with a covered wrap around verandah and immediate lawns surrounding it, ensuring a private and relaxed experience.

Depending on the numbers booking, the downstairs bedroom with Queen bed may not always be accessible. It will be locked unless required to accommodate the numbers or specifically requested for, should you have the need to avoid the stairs.

The homestead shares a driveway with a private minor dwelling that is permanently tenanted by a friendly couple, who ensure a warm & welcoming presence on the property. Privacy is maintained, allowing guests to enjoy their peaceful surroundings without intrusion.

There is ample parking for guests immediately adjacent to the homestead that can comfortably accommodate 3 cars. There is no wheelchair access at present.
