We really enjoyed the location with proximity to Seal Bay Nature Preserve and we just lived the sustainable nature of the property including solar power and re-use of wood plus the clean non-toxic product selection. It was very roomy and was appointed well enough for us to cook our meals there. It was convenient to all of the activities we wanted to do. Communication with the host was great. We loved the stay and recommend it to anyone!!

Great stay at the “Ugly House”

This is a beautiful, recently renovated, self contained, off the grid, detached residence on a family farm property. With our own entry driveway, we really enjoyed the privacy and freedom of feeling like we were in our own little home on the farm.It had all the amenities we needed. We’ll definitely be back for a return visit.

Lovely little place, perfect for my needs. Very accommodating hosts. I appreciated the tea & coffee supply, along with the good quality soaps for the shower and a selection of DVDs. It was nice and warm inside. Very clean. Easy to get to - we saw SO many deer! I think upgrading the bed to a queen size would be the best improvement for this place and I’d be more likely to come back. As well, if you get up to pee in the night: don’t flush or the loud water pump will surely wake your companion. Thank you for a great stay!

My experience staying in the Cozy Rustic Suite affectionately aka 'the ugly house' was beyond lovely. The suite is larger than I had expected, an outdoor deck had space to sit and enjoy the scenery of flowers, trees and working farm utility. I loved the sounds of the chickens and rooster and visiting the 3 goats. The suite had everything I needed to cook light meals, a very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and the whole space was decorated very tastefully. I would have liked to stay there even longer during my varied adventures in the Comox Valley.
