Whether you're here to hit the slopes of Mount Washington, bike the trails of Cumberland, swim or fish in and around the serene waters of Georgia Strait this private 2025 newly built home will have you situated in the midst of it all. From the front of the home you have a view of the ocean and mountains, and in your back yard a small hobby farm with goats and chickens for your amusement and viewing.
This brand new 2025 built home has just been completed and outfitted with all brand new furnishings and decor. There is ocean and mountain views and the home is located adjacent to our hobby farm with goats and chickens. There is a master bedroom with a smart tv and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is located beside the full bathroom (with a bathtub) down the hall. The open style well equipped kitchen is amazing for cooking meals with a large island for gathering with family or friends. The home also has an outdoor covered private patio with comfortable patio furniture, barbeque and a propane fire pit for you to enjoy. There is lots of parking on the premises and a carport for your convenience and storage during your stay. The yard has been landscaped recently, but due to the hot weather the grass seed did not fully grow in. Some sections of the yard are incomplete.
Entertainment:
There are two smart tv's located in the home with Netflix, Disney Plus and Prime. There is also numerous board games and some local books to read on the surrounding area.
Pets:
There is a large yard on the property partially fenced to let guests and pets enjoy some outside time and exercise.
Location:
The home is located in Historic Union Bay which is only a 10 minute drive to Courtenay and only 40 minutes for snowboarding and skiing on Mount Washington. We are also located 10 minutes from the Buckley Bay ferry terminal if you want to explore Denman/Hornby Island and a 25 minute drive to the Comox Airport(YQQ)

What didn't we like? Property is brand new and really well designed. A lot of care has gone into the details, from bedding to kitchen equipment, to a work space, outdoor area with BbQ, seating and hammock between two trees.
Owners, Megan and Rodney left us a lovely welcome basket and treat in the fridge. They have a great welcome book with ideas on what to do nearby, we did almost all of them, including a nearby ocean walk and Coombs Market & Wildlife Refuge. Our grandaughter loved the goats, baby goats and chickens. Such a bonus. Planning our next time back.
