Beautiful location. Right on the water, easy access. No kitchen -bbq works well. Great outdoor shower/bathroom as well as indoor facility. Good fishing, kayaks, swimming. No beach, not suitable for young children. Loved the quiet! Thank you.

My wife and I spent 3 relaxing days at this property which was immaculately clean and quiet with a very attentive and personable host (Wendy). The bunkie itself is in excellent shape right on the lake shore and we had full access to all the watercraft and amenities. One of the real highlights was the warm outdoor shower which was a real treat after a day of swimming and kayaking. The bunkie is west-facing so we could enjoy the sunsets every night with a glass of wine. The lake is a bit rocky so it is recommended to bring river shoes with you to fully enjoy your swim.

My husband and I loved our 3 night stay. It was clean and cutely decorated, comfortable bed and came with everything you would need. The shower in the bunkie is small but there’s also a great outside shower with both a rainfall and handheld shower head with lots of hot water. The bunkie itself may be on the smaller side but the beautiful lakefront properly that you have access to more than makes up for it, you won’t be spending much time inside with such an amazing property to use. We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Listening to waves as we fell asleep, a deck overlooking the lake right outside the patio door to enjoy our morning coffee. The host Wendy is friendly and accommodating and makes sure you have everything you need. It sure beats a standard hotel room at a much better price. We definitely will be returning for another stay.

I arrived late and was greeted with a smile and welcome. The bunkie is cute and comfortable. The view from the porch is lovely. I enjoyed the sunsets, sunrises, and a tranquil soft rainfall one afternoon. One morning I was enjoying my tea on the porch, watching chipmunks chasing each other when a Red Shoulder Hawk swooped in and perched on the side of stairs down to the lake. She didn't get a chippy but I got a good long look at her at 15ft away. The loons made their eerie tremolo call in which I fell asleep and woke up to hearing. Wendy is such a good hostess. She is a delight and has a jewel of a space she shares with us. I was looking for a quiet, peaceful cabin on a lake to defuse, and I found this. It is perfect to relax, and regroup your thoughts. Such a beautiful setting.

We booked and paid for two nights well in advance and maintained good communication. A family emergency prevented us from arriving the first night. Severe weather warnings, including tornadoes, were in effect across the region. Out of safety concerns, we asked to shift our stay by two days, as the calendar showed no upcoming bookings. The Host declined and insisted we pay for extra nights. While within policy, the lack of empathy was disappointing. She allowed a late check-in on day two but began emailing us exactly at check-in despite knowing we were en route. After a 3-hour drive, I explained we’d leave the next day. I have mobility issues and asked to rest, but she insisted I join a walking tour when my daughter could go in my place. The next morning, my daughter had a quick swim. We were a few minutes late checking out. The Host arrived at 11 a.m. sharp and accused her of trying to take a towel—which was untrue. The interaction felt needlessly hostile. The setting is lovely and the bunkie is charming, but the bed was uncomfortable, and we didn’t sleep well. Swimming was difficult due to sharp zebra mussels around the dock. While other guests praised the Host, our experience was markedly different. The tone and treatment we received, especially after a family emergency and hazardous travel, felt rigid and unwelcoming. We left feeling more stressed than when we arrived. Sadly, we cannot recommend this property to those seeking a flexible, peaceful, or restorative stay.
