Host was amazingly accessible for any little question. We had to leave early for incoming bad weather blizzard and owner answered within minutes. Beautiful home - new kitchen and very clean and welcoming. Loved it here. If we need lodging again we would definitely come again.

Thank you for staying with us and we’re sorry your trip had to end early due to the blizzard. Hope you find your way here again. It’s wonderful to have guests who enjoy the house and the area!
Karen’s house was perfect for a ski trip to Elk mountain with our kids! The home was easy to access, had everything that you need inside and Karen was quick to respond to any questions. It’s a quick 5-8 min car ride to the mountain and we were easily able to have groceries delivered for our stay. We hope to stay again next year!

Thank you for staying at the lake house. Please come back our way again soon!
This home was perfect for my family’s post-Christmas ski getaway. Location is ideal (only 10 minutes from Elk Mountain), plenty of space for a small family, and communication with the host was excellent. Karen checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable and even came to shovel and salt the driveway/walkway after a snow storm. The only downside to the area is a lack of really great dining options, so be prepared to do some cooking during your stay. But the spacious kitchen makes that easy! I would definitely recommend this property and would happily rent again if we return to this area.

Thank you for staying at the lake house. We love ELK Mountain so close to the house that you can cook meals in between ski runs. We have fabulous restaurants in the Speakeasy, Cables only 2/10 of a mile away, The Red School House, The Beacon, Arlows, and more. They are sit down restaurants but if you need to grab a quick meal they have takeout. We hope you come back soon as our summers are just as great with Rails To trails 2/10th of a mile away and you were great guests that appreciated the house.

The lake house was perfect for our time there to just relax and reconnect to each other as a family
We were greeted on arrival by the host, who was very accommodating throughout our stay. The house was inviting, comfortable and equipped with anything we needed. We tried several of the recommended eateries, and enjoyed each of them! Great place to stay if you’re looking for a house by the lake!
This was our 3rd stay at the Rails to Trails Lakehouse. Although the weather was cold and wet, we had a great relaxing weekend and even caught a few bass.

Everything about our trip was wonderful. The hosts, Robert and Karen are delightful and had provided lots of excellent info about the area prior to our arrival. The home itself was clean and provided great access to Lewis Lake. It was also close to many attractions and dining options, with a great place within walking distance. We look forward to returning here in the future.
