Loved that it was pet friendly, our dogs loved it. The privacy was excellent, and we enjoyed every little nook and cranny for exploring and relaxing. Appreciated the quality of the beds, and the paddle boards and canoe at our disposal. Teresa was available for our questions, and was a great host.

Thank you for being our first guest! We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and we agree, the loon calls are so special. We are in the process of engaging a new cleaning and lawn care service to ensure our guests have the best vacation. I hope your pups found the dog cupboard with all the dog treats. Teresa
Our week at this lakefront cottage was the absolute perfect summer getaway. Every day felt incredibly comfortable and relaxing from the moment we arrived. It was the ideal setup for our entire family (6), and having a dog-friendly space made it truly complete. The property was also very private, giving us a peaceful, secluded space to unwind. The highlight of our mornings was sitting by the water, listening to the peaceful calls of the loons and watching the swans glide across the lake. The water was crystal clear and fresh, keeping both the kids and the pup entertained and cool during the warm afternoons. We also loved the convenience of the location; having a short walk to ice cream at the camp ground made our evenings extra special. It felt like a home away from home, and we cannot wait to come back!

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness
The cottage was on a nice quiet spot. The listing stated it was 20 minutes from Kingston; it was closer to 40 minutes. The swimming was not good due to excessive weed growth at all three swimming locations. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff did not do a good job at all. We also were missing a can opener, which made feeding the dog its canned dog food very difficult. The pluses were that it was a very quiet and private cottage.

About the host
Hosted by Teresa Reeve
We are a group of friends from Ottawa who fell in love with this little patch of land. From the sparkling lake to the rolling hills and charming small towns, there’s something here that captures the heart. We’re thrilled to be able to have others fall in love with it too.
Why they chose this property
The Cranberry and Dog Lake Community is a place where neighbours wave from their boats and docks and stop in for coffee. You can take a quick trip to Seeley’s Bay, Inverary or Battersea for breakfast, groceries or supplies, or a leisurely drive to Kingston for dining, shops, and historic charm.
What makes this property unique
1287 Ridge Lane isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to exhale. The cottage sits right on the waterfront with an unobstructed view of the lake from sunrise to sunset. You can relax on either the docks or just jump in for a swim, a paddle, or float and watch the world slow down. What truly sets it apart is the sense of seclusion without isolation. You’re tucked away in nature, surrounded by whispering trees, calm waters, swans, ducks and deer. Guests often say it feels like “the cottage from their memories, only better”—a perfect mix of nostalgia and comfort. Whether it’s roasting marshmallows and sipping wine by the fire, or watching kids leap off the dock, this place turns ordinary moments into lasting memories. Your pup will love the freedom of roaming the 2 acres surrounded on three sides by water.
