Sanderling - 2 bedroom / 2 bath

*****There is construction on the upper Carlsbad beach sidewalk until late spring 2026 and then again during the winter and spring of 2027. They are replacing stairways to the beach and widening sidewalks. Nearby access points to the beach are still open and the lower seawall sidewalk on the beach is open. We are happy to confirm details and progress.*****

Welcome to Vacation in Carlsbad's newest property - Umi House! Luxuriate in our renovation while enjoying all the best that Carlsbad has to offer! You are directly across Carlsbad Blvd from the world-class beaches and popular surfing spots. Stroll, walk, run or bike along Whalewatcher's Walk into the Village to enjoy its shops and restaurants. 2 minute walk to Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse for lunch, happy hour and sunset dinners. Only 2 miles to Legoland, the Flower Fields and the outlet mall.Less than a mile to full-service Von's grocery store.

Sparkling clean with comfortable furnishings and a large, private patio! Our kitchens are fully stocked and have Bosch appliances. We have hard-wired wi-fi access points for our super fast reliable internet (250Mbps). The master bedroom has a comfortable king bed and private bath, and the second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room - all luxury linens provided. There is one oversized, reserved parking space.

We also provide beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards.

Day Trips to: Legoland - San Diego Zoo - Sea World - San Diego Safari Park - Disneyland - La Jolla Cove - casinos - wineries.

Shop the Village, the Carlsbad Outlet Mall or The Shoppes at Carlsbad.

The stay was great. The furnishings were high quality and everything works well. It should be noted there is construction on the beach access and upper level pathway until the spring 2026 and the construction barriers block the view to some degree.

Relaxing vavation spot.

We enjoyed our stay so much we already have our return trip booked. The host is amazing and the condo is very clean. Perfect spot as far as walking distance to everything.

Carefree Carlsbad

The property was even better than advertised. The patio with the fire pit was an all-time favorite gathering space for drinks, sun, people watching and ocean view. Location was walk able to restaurants and stores. Atmosphere was conducive to relaxing inside or out as well as close to different local attractions and amenities. Would book again in a heartbeat!

Best family vacation

We had a wonderful time and this cute house made it even better! It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and the patio was our favorite! Big sectional couch and a fire pit made our October stay cozy! We will definitely be back!

The BEST customer service we have ever experienced with a VRBO property!! We had a minor issue and they resolved it and more than made up for it! Property itself was beautiful and had everything you need including beach gear! Very clean and organized. Bring a cooler for the beach with you and a baby bath if you have infants since it’s shower only. We already booked another one of their properties for next year that’s how great it was!

3 days of heaven

Condo right across The street from the ocean. A lot of restaurants extremely close one which we walk to sitting outside could be pretty noisy with the motorcycles, but when you were inside and shut the sliders, it was soundproof.. I would go back there again.

One of the best!

I’ve stayed in probably 10 rental properties within Carlsbad and this was one of the best. It was super clean, had everything we needed, communication with host was great, location was awesome (beach access across the st and about a 15 min walk to the village). Also right next to a restaurant. The fire pit was so great at night. Highly recommend! (I’m usually pretty critical with reviews but there was nothing negative to report about this place!). Also major plus having boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys galore avail and easy to grab when heading to the beach.

Privacy invasive

This property does not have a master closet , and is not properly stocked for a vacation rental. There was no outdoor patio table and when we requested one we were denied. Manager listens to conversations then intrupted a private conversation i was having with my friend about the situaiton.After 4 days I vacated to another property that would not invade my privacy during the stay

Absolutely Amazing

I am not normally a person to post reviews, however this place definitely deserves a great one. Nothing but positive things to say. The process was easy and the location cannot be beat. The garage parking was a great perk also since the area was fairly busy when we were there. Upon arrival, the place was extremely clean and well maintained and cared for. The attention to detail was obvious. There was plenty of space inside and outside and the overall feel was very comfortable, just like being at home. And we were able to chat with Nancy before we left. We have ZERO complaints. This was truly an unbeatable experience and we will most definitely be back soon.

Fantastic Experience

The unit we rented was better than our expectations. When we arrived we found that the unit was extremely clean and furnished very comfortably from the kitchen to the outdoor living space. The property management was friendly and helpful.
