Altitude 700 Rural Retreat nurtures rest, rejuvenation and connection. A scenic 12 minute drive from Malanda town, surrounded by working farms with only cows for close neighbours. Renovated with all the comforts of home with 360 degree views of rolling green hills, mountains & rainforest. Ideally located in the heart of the Atherton Tablelands to explore the many local attractions & a scenic 90 minute drive from Cairns International Airport.

Altitude 700 Rural Retreat offers a rare blend of privacy, comfort and natural beauty.

The home is in harmony with nature, letting the outside flow in and features soaring cathedral ceilings, floor-to-ceiling screened glass doors, large screened picture windows and expansive views from every room.

Styled in fresh whites, deep greys and warm natural tones, the interiors blend comfort with calm. The flexible and open plan design offers multiple indoor/outdoor relaxation areas. The design allows up to 6 guests to enjoy together, but still maintain their private space to luxuriate in.

Sleep & rest peacefully:
- A maximum of 6 guests can be accommodated comfortably across 4 bedrooms and 4 beds. One of the bedrooms is a dual purpose bedroom/office. All beds are provided with cotton bed linen. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 each have a queen bed.
- 3 of the bedrooms feature floor to ceiling glass doors and views to let the outside in, ceiling fans and double blinds to either let the light in or for total privacy. The dual purpose bedroom/office has a large picture window as well as ceiling fan and privacy blinds.

Plenty of room to move in the over-sized bathrooms and laundry:
- The main bathroom services bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 and contains a shower, toilet and large bath to luxuriate in. The laundry area is also contained within this bathroom with washing machine, dryer and laundry tub. A starter pack of laundry powder is supplied.
- The ensuite bathroom off bedroom 1 features a double vanity, bathroom storage cabinet, toilet & shower and a large storage/dressing area.
- A hot shower is located outdoors for those who prefer to bathe amongst the elements.
- bath products including shampoo, conditioner, body & hand wash, and moisturiser are supplied.

Relax in the 3 generous sized living areas:
- Cozy media/sitting room off the kitchen with 65” Samsung smart TV, all apps downloaded ready for you to connect. 3 seat leather lounge with 2 recliners and 2 Nick Scali electric reclining plush leather chairs. The Spyda fan and Daiken reverse cycle airconditioning will keep you comfortable in summer or winter.
- Bose Bluetooth speaker to connect to your music streaming service to enjoy your favourite music as loud as you like without worrying about annoying anyone!
- Main lounge/dining area featuring multiple viewing angles and containing 1 x 3 seat lounge, 2 x 2 seat lounges, coffee table, 55 inch smart TV (streaming only) with Apple TV hub and 6 seater dining table. There are books and board games to keep you entertained and a Spyda fan and super-sized daiken reverse cycle air-conditioner for cooling or warmth.
- Third sitting area with beautiful views through floor to ceiling glass doors leading to a covered balcony and featuring 2 sofas for reading, relaxing or just hanging out, a 45 inch smart TV (streaming only) and Apple TV hub, Spyda fan to keep you cool. There is also a bar fridge in this sitting room.

Short term accommodation:
Altitude 700 Rural Retreat is fully approved by Tablelands Regional Council to operate the retreat with 6 guests maximum across our 4 available bedrooms (4 beds in total). Each booking will have exclusive access to the property. We do not cater for larger groups under any circumstances.

Rates:
Our base rate is for 2 people. An extra charge per person will apply above 2 up to a maximum of 6 adults whether adult, child or infant. We also charge an additional fee for cleaning. We only supply sheets for our 4 beds (one king and 3 queen). If additional sheets are required, this must be organised prior to check-in and a rate of $50 per set of sheets per stay will apply.

Driving to the Retreat:
It is a picturesque drive on sealed road the whole way with the last 2 kilometres on an all-weather compacted unsealed road that is suitable for all vehicle types.

The Wildlife:
As we are located in a natural and wildlife setting, we can get brush turkeys, tree kangaroos, cassowaries, bandicoots, possums, many species of birds and insects, frogs, toads, geckos and the occasional tree snake around the property. The sighting of all this wildlife usually depends on the season and the weather. Our balconies, outdoor furniture and outdoor areas are cleaned before and after each guest stay for remnants of wildlife encounters, but we cannot guarantee they won't come to visit during your stay, especially in summer months.

Property Maintenance:
Altitude 700 Rural Retreat is a renovated property and we regularly test all of our appliances and fittings to ensure in good working order, however it is inevitable that an issue may arise during guest stays. Our policy is to fix any breakages/fittings as soon as possible, therefore if you notice anything or anything breaks whilst you are in residence, then please let us know, so we can attend to it. We also appreciate your patience as we are located in a rural area and instant fixes may not be possible, particularly during holiday periods, but we will do our very best.

The Weather:
We have abundant rainfall. You may have an experience of completely blue skies and glorious views one day with a misty mountains experience the next. We cannot guarantee the weather!, but we can guarantee that both experiences are magical.
