Escape the hustle of the city and relax amongst the birdsong! Okuti cabin is the perfect place to rest and spend time in nature, while you have all of Banks Peninsular at your door step, ready to explore. The cabin offers a comfortable studio style room, nestled in Okuti Valley. The outdoor woodfired bath is a welcomed treat at the end of the day, looking out over the valley and then enjoying the starry night sky. There are many beautiful walks around the peninsular and Akaroa is the perfect distance for a day trip.
The composting toilet is a short walk from the cabin.
The cabin is semi off grid, however we do provide a power bank to run the wifi, electric jug, nespresso and heater. This can be recharged when needed at the main house.
The cabin is located on our property, a couple of minutes from the main house, however we cannot see you and you cannot see us from the cabin - in fact, from the cabin, you cannot see another house!
Little River offers a small local store for your basic grocery needs and a fabulous cafe, open 7 days. TOND is a great restaurant, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday and the Little River Inn is a great pub, offering food and drinks, 7 days a week. All are within 10 minutes of the cabin.
There a many beautiful beaches on the peninsular, within 20-60 minutes drive, depending on what you are looking for. Surfing, seal and dolphin watching, swimming, paddle boarding, everything is on offer.
