Excellent location for visiting the public access beaches, but about a 30 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. The house itself could use some updates/improvements, but overall was a great place to stay with kids!

This house was the perfect setup for a family or friend's getaway. The decor was nice and the seating and bedrooms were very comfortable. The decks and downstairs covered area were awesome and the extras offered (fishing poles, beach items, etc.) were great. The kitchen was big and clean and offered all the necessities.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was clean and in a perfect location. We enjoyed fishing off of the deck. Access to the kayaks was super fun. It was a little buggy, well actually the mosquitos were quite overwhelming at times, we always had to have an exit strategy when getting out or in the car!! It was better on the deck and patio, but definitely bring bug spray!Lots of room for our party of 7.Really close to the beach, which was great and not too bad of a drive down to Galveston Pier.

We had a group of 5 adults and two teenagers and we had an incredible stay at this property. There is so much space to relax, play games, grill, kayak, and plenty of space for the dog to run around in the fenced in yard. The house is exactly as advertised and we will be staying again!

We had a wonderful stay overall! The house is beautifully located with gorgeous scenery and such a relaxing atmosphere for families. My kids absolutely loved being outside, and the fishing lights at night were a huge highlight for all of us. There were lots of amenities that made the trip enjoyable, and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for relaxing and spending time together.We did run into a few issues during our stay, but management was notified and seemed very proactive about addressing and fixing them, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a beautiful place to make family memories and enjoy time on the water.

Great home. Clean, new and lots of fun amenities. The boat slip is wider and taller thank most of the surrounding options and was large enough to accommodate my 23' bay boat with a t-top. Great communication. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous time. The boys enjoyed fishing in the canal and catching crabs in the crab traps. The kayaks were a hit and the hot tub was constantly in use. The couch on the lower patio was great for naps in the afternoons! Bring bug spray for the evenings! Those mosquitos are wicked at dusk!! Sunrise on the deck is beautiful! The queen bed is very noisy but comfortable. No complaints on any of the other beds. Highly recommend renting a golf cart to drive to the beach and around the neighborhood. This is our second time staying in Jamaica Beach. Nice and quiet community and nice beach. Bonus: Walmart delivers to Jamaica Beach! No need to tote your groceries from home. Just place an order to be delivered after you arrive. They’ll even carry them up the stairs for you!

Great family stay!

I’ll go Pros and Cons for this review. We did truly have a wonderful time here at this house but just a couple drawbacks. CONS: -ANTS: I guess fire ants are a thing in the area, we heard about it multiple places we went. The backyard definitely has some so be careful, most of our family got bit in the yard and patio. The problem we had was inside… we left some fruit and bags of chips on the counter.. next morning ants were everywhere! Couldn’t leave a coffee spoon out without ants coming out. -two seater bike: fun idea but it was pretty a little rusty and the back handle bars fell off when my family tried to ride it. PROS: -canal/ patio: so fun to sit out there and fish. We caught mostly catfish but it was a great place to hang out with the family in down time. We cooked out and loved the open space. My family also utilized the paddle boat and loved it. We brought our own poles but they have plenty for you to use! -cleanliness/ comfort: beds and couch were so comfy. Rooms and bathrooms were well kept! -proximity to beach: you can literally drive across that main highway out of the neighborhood to get to the beach (a couple minutes) and we had the best time! -during our stay, we had someone bring a new propane tank and also checked the hot tub to make sure everything was good to go. -fenced in yard: we had little ones and a dog that could run freely without worry of the canal or running into the street. Such a relief.

Very clean property! Had everything we needed and more. It was nice the property provided beach equipment to borrow. Enjoyed the kayaks and hot tub. Very peaceful evenings outside!
