Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!
North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!
You’ll have full, private access to:
• Entire 3BR/2BA home
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Living & dining spaces
• Washer/dryer
• Shared front porch + shared backyard
★ Easy access, peaceful street, and everything was thoughtfully stocked!
Mid-City has a rhythm all its own - second-line parades drifting through the neighborhood, the Canal Streetcar rattling past, the smell of something good coming from a corner restaurant. This classic shotgun home drops you right into the middle of it, with the high ceilings, tall windows, and original details that only a New Orleans house built to breathe can offer.
Living space
Natural light fills every room through oversized windows, bouncing off the high ceilings and giving the home an open, airy feel even in the cooler months. The layout flows the way a true shotgun should - room to room, front to back - with ceiling fans keeping the air moving and the character of the house intact throughout.
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests across four beds, each room furnished with quality linens, dressers, luggage racks, and sound machines for anyone who needs a quieter night. Earplugs are also on hand - this is New Orleans, after all.
Kitchen & dining
The newly remodeled kitchen is stocked for real cooking, with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and all the cooking basics you need. Coffee and tea are ready to go each morning, and cocktail essentials mean you can pour something proper before heading out. Wine glasses, a blender, a toaster, a baking sheet, and a dining table round out a setup that works just as well for a full group dinner as it does for a quiet breakfast.
Outdoor living
Two outdoor spaces give you room to spread out. The front porch is the spot for morning coffee and watching the neighborhood wake up, while the shared backyard - complete with a picnic table - is ideal for unwinding after a long day. The home is pet-friendly for up to two dogs (25 lbs or less), with a required pet fee; unauthorized pets will incur a $250 additional fee.
Bathrooms
Two bathrooms keep things moving for larger groups. Both are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and cleaning products, with hot water and hair dryers on hand.
Amenities
Air conditioning, heating, and ceiling fans cover your comfort year-round. An in-unit washer and dryer handle longer stays with ease. The home also includes a TV, free street parking, a private entrance via smart lock for self check-in, and a full set of safety features - smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit. Extra pillows, blankets, hangers, and an iron are all provided.
Location
Mid-City puts you within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and the Canal Streetcar. City Park, the French Quarter, and the Superdome are just minutes away, making this home a strong base for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest, the Sugar Bowl, and everything in between.
Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.
