Steps to Endymion and Zulu Parades during Mardi Gras!

North of the noise and saturated color of the Quarter is a New Orleans neighborhood that’s perfected the art of living. “Welcome to Mid-City,” read the signs on the neutral ground. And that’s truth in advertising. It’s the kind of place where your auto mechanic invites you to a crawfish boil and a total stranger may buy you a drink at an Irish pub or a cannoli at an Italian bakery. Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Buttermilk biscuits. Live music. A bowl of Vietnamese pho. Who wouldn’t want to visit? Eat. Drink. Get up here.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, please send us a message!

You’ll have full, private access to:
• Entire 3BR/2BA home
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Living & dining spaces
• Washer/dryer
• Shared front porch + shared backyard

★ Easy access, peaceful street, and everything was thoughtfully stocked!

Mid-City has a rhythm all its own - second lines weaving through neighborhood streets, the clang of the Canal Streetcar rolling past, the smell of coffee drifting from a corner café. This classic shotgun home puts you right in the middle of it, with the kind of original architecture and easy indoor-outdoor flow that makes New Orleans feel like home within hours of arriving.

Living space
Tall windows stretch toward high ceilings, drawing in generous natural light and framing the kind of airy, character-filled rooms that define Mid-City shotgun living. Original details run throughout, giving the space an authenticity that newer builds simply can't replicate. A ceiling fan keeps things comfortable, and the single-level layout means everything flows without a step to climb.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to 6 guests across four beds, each room furnished with quality linens, dressers, and luggage racks so settling in feels effortless. Sound machines and earplugs are on hand for lighter sleepers - a small but welcome touch after late nights out on the town.

Kitchen & dining
The newly remodeled kitchen is set up for everything from a proper home-cooked dinner to a quick breakfast before hitting the city. A refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, baking sheet, cooking basics, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses are all included. Coffee and tea are stocked and ready, alongside cocktail essentials for evenings in. Pull up a chair at the dining table and let the meal stretch as long as it wants.

Outdoor spaces
Two outdoor spaces give the home a breathing room that apartments rarely offer. The front porch is made for slow mornings with coffee and a bit of people-watching, while the shared backyard - complete with a picnic table - is a laid-back hangout for guests and pups alike. The home is pet-friendly for up to two dogs (25 lbs or less), with a required pet fee; unauthorized pets will incur a $250 additional fee.

Bathrooms & laundry
Two bathrooms are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer, so packing light is a real option. An in-unit washer and dryer handles longer stays without a second thought, and an iron is available when you need it.

Staying comfortable
Air conditioning, ceiling fans, and heating keep the temperature right year-round. Free street parking is available outside, and the home includes a private entrance with self check-in via smart lock. Safety is covered with smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit.

Location
Mid-City sits at the crossroads of everything. The Canal Streetcar is within walking distance, putting the French Quarter, the CBD, and Magazine Street all within easy reach without touching a car. City Park - home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, Botanical Garden, and miles of trails - is just minutes away, as is the Caesars Superdome. For festival season, this is one of the most convenient home bases in the city: Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest, and the Sugar Bowl all flow naturally from here.

Please note: No parties, no unregistered guests, and no smoking. Any attempt to host a party of any kind will result in immediate termination of the stay with no refund.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location
good: communication, creature comforts (towels, coffee). problems: valve in near bathroom does not send full water to shower, only half. The next-door neighbors (not in same building's second duplex, but to the right when facing out to street), are loud at all hours of night, motorcycle repairs and test drives are frequent there as well as loud arguments and music.
