A quiet, safe, family/kids paradise.
Newly remodeled with new construction of 2nd and 3rd floors. 3100 sq foot home.
Three large bedrooms plus a carpeted 500 sq' loft with pullout. Also multiple futon/couches. Three new/updated full bathrooms. Enjoy the serene, park-like 4 acres with play area for kids and a private pond to feed the fish! Walk across the road about 250 yards down to the lake (slightly rugged only last 50 yards) to access the canoe/rowboat at the lake shore. Home is prepared with the essentials including WIFI, Roku, DVD players (2), large fridge, Keurig, washer, dryer, central AC on main floor and window ac's available in each bedroom. Weber BBQ for outdoor grilling. Make smores in the firepit steps away in the yard.
Fishing in Highland Lake is great with largemouth bass, perch, crappie, catfish and sunnies!
Less than 1/2 mile (5-10 minute walk) down the road is the Sand Beach Highland Lake (see yelp/facebook.) This is a public Bar/Restaurant that's super fun for sand castle building, swimming, music and having burgers and beverages right on the lake.
Delaware River rafting/tubing/zip line tours just 6 miles (10 minutes) away.
Skiing at Big Bear is 25 minutes away in PA and is super family friendly.
Hiking / Hunting 2 miles away at NY State's Hickok Brook 1000 acre multiple use area.
Rolling Stone Ranch Horseback Riding 20 minutes away.
Bethel Woods Arts Center (home of the original 1969 Woodstock) 20 minutes away.
Resorts World Casino and Water Park 30 minutes away in Monticello.
Full size supermarket (Peck's) just 2 miles down the road in the quaint town of Eldred.

Perfect Stay

Excellent communication with our hosts. Very clear and detailed directions for all the home’s features (AC, BBQ, oven, fire pit). No detail was left unturned. The house is a perfect weekend getaway in a great part of NY with access to the lake and nearby grocery stores, diner, pizza, gas and a nature preserve. A++ cleanliness and all the Kitchen amenities you could want or need. We will be back!

Great for families!

This is a lovely property and great for a getaway from the city. The home was exactly as advertised. It was clean and stocked with the essentials. The loft is full of toys and games (my 4 year old was well entertained) and the playset in the backyard make it a great choice for families. The owners provided detailed home and area information and were prompt with all responses.

What a great getaway! The house was more than perfect! Gorgeous property inside and out! Everything we needed was available to us and it was spotless! We will definitely make this an annual getaway! Property owner was very communicative! If you’re looking for a lake house, this is the one!

AMAZING

This home looks exactly as featured and more. We needed to get away from the city and just have fun, relax, and enjoy nature, mission accomplished. The house was fully equipped with everything you could think of, all we had to do was buy food and enjoy cooking on the bbq which faced a beautiful yard where we were lucky enough to see deer and beaver quite often. I wish we could stay longer, I would absolutely rent this property again. This house is so beautiful and it was a perfect choice for us.
