A Peaceful Escape: A Charming Cottage Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage tucked away in Hickman, Tennessee. The setting is absolutely breathtaking—peaceful, private, and surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that makes it easy to relax and unwind. The interior is thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and inviting, with attention to the little details that make a stay feel special. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. If you're looking for a peaceful escape where you can slow down, enjoy the scenery, and feel right at home, this cottage is a wonderful choice. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Quiet Oasis

Stayed 4 night in August 2026. LOVED the house. It was clean, comfortable and we were able to relax and enjoy the mountain views. Unfortunately, is was a heatwave during our stay, so we didn't get to utilize the outdoor amenities much. This house has all the comforts of home, nothing was forgotten! The owner has decorated beautifully and supplied many extras. We explored some nearby attractions, Nashville, Belle Meade historic site and winery and Wildwood Resort in Grainville, TN. Would recommend this lovely get-away for all ages.

The property was beautiful! The view was amazing! The house was gorgeous! Little bit too cluttered and not much room to just walk around. You couldn't walk from any room to the kitchen or living room with out an obstacle in the way. But it still was beautiful. Now the outside property in the back was much smaller than what the pictures made it look. And be prepared to go up a very steep driveway! I mean really steep! We did have a 4WD truck so we were ok. If we would've been in a car I don't think it would've been so easy. And when going up the driveway, at the top of the steep hill, it has a hard left turn. So you cant really see the turn because of how steep this drive is. We checked in just as the sun set and that made it even harder. So you definitely want to go check in during the day. I also advise not to check in in the early morning, you will be blinded my the sun going up that driveway. And on the one side of the drive is another hill going down. And the driveway is barely wide enough for a vehicle. Also during certain parts of the day there is a sewage smell that comes and goes when outside the house. And it is strong. Also I believe its one of the neighbors on the road they have a few dogs that do come over and bark at you. Which we didnt mind. They didnt seem viscous. Overall it was a nice place. I think it would've helped if they would've listed pictures of the driveway. Very nice and peaceful tho.

Thank you for the kind words about the views and the house itself. The professional photos focused on the entertainment area with the gazebo and fire pit, which is why the back area used for walking to the side patio and loading/unloading cars wasn't pictured. The driveway is paved but steep, and we're asking for that detail to be added to the property description. We've also spoken to a contractor about the smell you noticed outside. We're glad you still found it a nice, peaceful stay overall.
