A spacious home with 4 bedrooms 3 full and one half baths spread out in three floors - huge windows, dramatic sunrise views, some ocean views from the third and second floor, as well as great views from rooftop deck. Light-filled home with custom shutters. Expansive living area in the third floor. Well furnished kitchen with kitchen island, granite countertops, Keurig Coffee maker that brews both individual and large pot, Breville convection over-the-counter toaster oven and any gadgets you may want whether you are a seasoned chef or not. Several tables and areas for dining, game playing or kids crafts and activities. Separate dining area sits 8, breakfast area off kitchen with a table for four. Four bar height stools. Ocean views from second, third, and rooftop balconies. Private fenced back yard with professionally designed renaissance-style garden with small euro garden features. Spacious master bedroom has a king bed, 50 inch smart TV, a private master bath with separate tub and shower, double vanities, a custom made walk-in closet and private deck with a view of the ocean. Catch a glimpse of the ocean even from the master bath shower! 2 Additional bedrooms in second floor share a full hall bath. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed with HDMI outlets for your electronic device charging needs, storage drawers, and closet organizer in spacious closet this bedroom has private access to the hall bathroom - no need to get to the hall. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds and access to the bath through the hallway. Spacious laundry room with cabinets, brand new GE washer and samsung dryer in second floor. Beach Vacation

Property has been nicely renovated and the locations is perfect - close to oceanfront restaurants but located in a quiet neighborhood with a public beach access that’s far less crowded than the oceanfront. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Great vacation

Our family had a wonderful time. The location was great for us. We loved being in the quiet part of the beach and away from the hustle and bustle but it was close enough to get down to the boardwalk and shops and restaurants very easily.

House location to beach access

The house was a great location to the beach access. The inside was very nice and being allowed to bring our dog was awesome. Another relaxing getaway

This is our second time staying at this property. We love how close it is to Croatan Beach and how quiet it is. The beach never seems to get overcrowded and it's so lovely to wake up and hear the waves while enjoying a morning coffee. Close to the Aquarium and Ocean Breeze. We had a wonderful time.

Relaxing getaway

We had a great time at Herons and Egrets by the Sea. The house was clean and had all the basic essentials. Location was perfect--just a block from the beach and very close to shops/restaurants. We had groceries and meals delivered without hassle. Our dogs were very relaxed and enjoyed the yard and the beach.

Egrets by the Sea is a wonderful well appointed property with everything you need to enjoy a great vacation. The property is ideally located with an easy walk to the beach and being dog friendly is an major plus for pooches who enjoy the beach life. Great vacation house!

Would highly recommend a stay here! Great space, comfortable beds and furniture, well stocked kitchen, responsive and helpful host. Beach was an easy 1-2 minute walk and the house had a good supply of beach chairs and boogie boards and a Rolleez cart to haul it all. We drove up to the Boardwalk area just to experience it and go to 17th St Surf Shop and found paid street parking for 3 hrs no problem. We decided we were very glad to be staying at Croatan Beach where we didn’t have to fight for a spot on the beach and all the comforts of home were just steps away. Plus we got to bring our 10yo dog on his first beach trip!

Perfect Family Vacation

The house was everything we hoped for and more. Spacious, nicely firnished. Plenty of room. Several decks. All the amenities. Best equipped kitchen I've ever seen in a rental. Pleasant patio/backyard. Very good supply of nice beach chairs and umbrellas. Outdoor shower. Short walk to pristine, quiet beach. Near aquarium, restaurants and stores. Couldn't ask for more.

Great summer vacation.

House is as described. So many different ways to get the beach. We walked to boardwalk about 1 mile away, fished, watched surfers and collected shells. We have older children and they had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the house away from us. Was a great experience and the neighborhood and beach are very dog friendly our Lab had the best time and he met several new friends. Owners very responsive when needed. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome Family Vacation

House was clean, comfortable, kitchen was stocked with everything you need, large washer & dryer, stores were within 11 minutes away, and most of all we were a block away from the beach! Garage was also stocked with beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach buggies) with room for beach items we brought too! We were 6 adults and two dogs; were all very comfortable (even the dogs had a fenced in back yard!). We jet skied one day; on the ocean, not the bay -- had so much fun!. Jet skis, banana boat, and parasailing is just a 3 minute drive away to Rudee's Inlet. Great vacation; Our family loved it -- we definitely would stay here again.

Great Home and Outstanding Host

Just got back from a week-long stay—probably the best Vrbo-style rental we’ve had! It was me, my wife, our two boys (5 and 3), and my in-laws, in town for a beach week and to visit family.The house was in great shape and had everything we needed. The kitchen was especially well-stocked—not just full of random things but useful and usable equipped. The bedrooms were comfy & spacious, and the garage had tons of beach gear (wagon, chairs, toys).The location is great—just a 2–3 minute walk to the beach and 5-10 minutes from the boardwalk and stores. There’s also a great rooftop sitting area; we didn’t use it much with little kids, but had fun going up to spot jets flying by from the nearby Air Force base.On day two, the AC for the middle and basement levels (where the bedrooms are) failed. I’m glad we had them as our host—when something goes wrong, you don’t want to be chasing someone down or worrying about how it’s going to get resolved. It was definitely unpleasant, but the host was incredibly responsive: multiple HVAC pros came out, she stayed in regular contact, had fans delivered, and clearly did everything possible to attempt to get it fixed. The issue wasn’t due to neglect, the home is clearly well maintained. She also offered a fair credit and a future weekend to make up for the inconvenience.11/10 will definitely stay again and highly recommend it!
