Very good location, convenient and as described -- friendly owner and building staff too

The apartment is compact but comfortable for 2 people/a couple. We found it easy to get around San Juan whether walking or taking a taxi and the building is close to nearby amenities, such as cafes, bars, restaurants, shops with a supermarket a couple blocks away. We thought the bed was rather comfortable and found the apartment itself well equipped for our 4-night stay. It is a good value vs hotels in the area, so you get what you pay for. The owner, her mom and the building staff were all very helpful and friendly, which was a nice bonus. :)

Great location, great price, a few major disappointments

My husband and I jus T came back from a great trip to Puerto Rico. We enjoy Ed staying in this condo as it was close to everything! The condo was fine for the two of us, and we just had a few issues that put a damper on our getaway. First, know that there is street noise and lots of it. It was not a bother to us the first 4 nights but in the last night of our stay a car alarm went off for over an hour and kept us Awake. Obviously, the owner has no control over that, justo something to keep in mind if you are desiring peace and quiet. Second, the temperature of the water in the shower was either scorching hot or super cold. No matter what time of day you showered or how fast you showered it was the same. Could not regulate it:( our biggest complaints are the following: THE BED. It is completely covered in plastic (similiar to the bed wetting covers you put-on a baby crib) and there was only a fitted sheet over that. Also, the pillows were plastic too, so they were not comfortable at all. When you are on a vacation, you expect the bed to be comfortable...this is not. The plastic caused us to sweat even with the air conditioning on. Also, the futon in the living room when you sit on it, it creaks and it is hard and not comfortable at all. After a day of sightseeing or laying at the beach we wanted to relax and cool off and felt like we really couldn't. It was hard to snuggle up with your spouse on a hard futon or a papasan chair :( Also, there was a washer and dryer on our floor but they were out of order when we were there. The great thing about this condo is location, location, location! It is in the heart of Condado and the beach and many restaurants are so close, the grocery store is nearby, and Emmanuelle was always quick to answer and return emails. The condo is super clean and stocked with everything you need in the kitchen. If you are looking for a clean condo at a great price, this is it.

Cancellation

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic I was forced to leave PR unexpected. The lessor was kind and understanding. He allowed a cancellation with full refund. When we get back to “normal”, I”d certainly not hesitate to re-book this condo. It is located in a very nice area, easy commute to Old San Juan, restaurant s and casinos . Conveniently, the beach is located directly behind the condo building.

Lovely condo on Ashford!

The condo was very clean, organized, minimalist and had all the basic necesities to make us feel welcome & our stay comfortable. In addition, the location was fantastic! Near shops, restaurants and the ocean! And the owners were available when needed!

Small but comfortable

Emmanuele and her mother were very helpful. The unit is small but very convenient to many restaurants, the beach and buses to get to San Juan Viejo. Even though it is on the 11th floor, the street noise--especially early in the morning--was much louder than we expected. The Security guards were all very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in San Juan. We rented a car at the Marriott down the street for one day to drive to the rain forest. The rest of the time we used the bus. It was a great stay and nice to get out of the cold January weather at home.

Great experience!

We had such a great experience staying at this apartment. Emanuelle and her mom were so accommodating to our needs. The security staff were very nice and the building and pool were well kept. The apartment was small, but it had everything that we needed. The location was perfect and it was nice being just minutes from the beach as well as steps from the night life. It was loud at night, but that was ok and worth it to be able to be in the heart of San Juan. We will definitely be coming back!

Loved It!

This Condo looked exactly like the pictures it was nice for the price. The owner and her mother Doris were very nice and helpful anytime I had a question she got back to me right away. There was security at the front desk 24 hours a day and they were all very polite. It was steps away from the beach and right next to the best Food Places especially PINKY'S make sure you dine there for brunch we ate there all 4 days it was the best with excellent prices. The noise level was ok being that you are staying on a busy rode but it didnt bother us since we do live in the city. All in all I would stay in here again I will def be coming back to the island to visit.

A Great Experience

This is a great unit for one person or for two people if you don't require much alone time. The unit is small but very well arranged, clean and comfortable. The owner is easy to work with. The location is great (close to the beach, good restaurants and shopping), the building is very nice, and the staff members are pleasant and helpful. We would definitely rent again.

The perfect spot for a perfect vacation

Emmanuelle is the best! She communicated quickly and clearly, both in English and Spanish (I am bilingual as well). From her first e-mail I knew this would be a great spot. I was more than pleased when we arrived, our flight was delayed, but Emmanuelle assured me not to worry, she left keys and instructions with the concierge/security (24 hr btw, all were very friendly and helpful) with no worries. The building is perfectly located, close enough to everything in El Condado, yet still far enough away to be peaceful. There is a school across the street, so there was some noise during the day, but we weren't in the room enough to be bothered. Emmanuelle checked several times during our stay to see how we were doing (she happened to be on vacation as well in town), but wasn't intrusive. I had hoped to meet in person, but didn't have the opportunity. The apartment is clean, well appointed and great for 2 people, 3 may be a bit tight, depending the mix. There is a major supermarket only a couple blocks away, the beach is a short block away, Walgreen's down the street. The Café Condado in the plaza by the hospital is great for breakfast or lunch, very affordable, clean, and cheerful staff. We loved the Greenhouse restaurant, but service was a bit slow, part of that is the culture, but it was slower than other places, their French Onion soup is amazing. We also enjoyed Orozco's Restaurant and Cafe del Angel; located on Avenida Ashford, a few blocks away. There is a laundry room on the same floor, buy your "fichitas" from the concierge. My friend and I really enjoyed our stay. I will definitely be back.

Great place for a couple

We had a fantastic vacation in Puerto Rico. The condo was in a great location and Emmanuelle was quick to answer our questions and help us out. The only complaint I have is that there is a downside to being in a popular location: street noise. The cars on the street blasting their music at all hours of the night is audible in the condo.

Perfect spot to take in San Juan

My fiance and I decided to take a quick vacation for 4 days to San Juan because we were stressed from work. We found this condo at the right price. First, let me say Emannuelle is so easy to communicate with. Emails are responded to within 24 hours. I had even asked her for suggestions on activities and she sent me a long email with suggestions, things to do, and points of contact. The condo is small but it's perfect for two people. It's the right amount of space without tempting you with staying inside (which, honestly, you shouldn't) but cozy enough to enjoy dinner, sit at the table together, or watch TV. The condo is in the PERFECT spot. I swear, I'm not exaggerating. My fiance and I landed Saturday afternoon, got the keys, unloaded our shoulders, and started exploring within 20 minutes (props to her mother !). We walked out the main building door (that has 24 hour security, that were nice and welcoming) and just haphazardly decided to venture to our left. We were instantly immersed into the culture of the city of San Juan. We saw the colorful houses, tried the food, ducked into bars and discotecas, the works. Not expecting an afternoon adventure, we got a feel of the neighboorhood, the stores, and the people. On the second day, we decided to venture to the right and found the casinos, shops, and the "night life". It was easy to be social as we made friends with servers, locals, and other vacationers. The second morning we decided to go and visit Old San Juan to go to Barrachina, the restaurant where the Pina Colada was created and literally STUMBLED upon La Morra and took marvelous pictures, ate great food in Old San Juan, took advantage of the open market, worked on our Spanish, and drank well. All of this withing WALKING DISTANCE. Again, Emannuelle and her mother are a dream to work with, phone calls and emails on both parties were answered promptly. When departing, her mother informed us that if we wanted to spend more time on our next visit, they would help us find and set up excursions. We've already communicated that we will be coming back before the end of the year and will, in fact, go through Emannuelle and use her condo to do it. You're truly missing out on a great immersed experience if you go through a resort or hotel and this condo really is the best of both worlds.

Perfect Location with Awesome View.

I stayed at Emmanuelle's apartment for 3 weeks. At first when I arrived I had a couple problems with some things in the apartment but her and her Mother resolved them right away. They were extremely helpful throughout my whole trip and only a call away the whole time. The place itself is just how it is advertised with an AMAZING view of the city and the beach is very close by. It is located right in Condado so it is not a far walk at all from the rest of the attractions and a huge plus is a super market is only a few blocks away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested its great!

great lil apt walking distance to all the action

i stayed for 3 months and the place was great. everything i needed was right there. and when i left i asked and they said they would forward my mail :) . recommend to single person or couple looking to hang out in san juan. I loved it so much that i ended up staying in Puerto Rico. Couples Dream

I am writing on behalf of my daughter who stayed there last summer with her boyfriend. This was the first time they did a grownup thing. 3 month stay at great condado studio apartment on the beach near major restaurants and shopping

I had the pleasure to stay at this great furnished apartment for 3 months in San Juan Puerto Rico in the condado area. The building is really nice and has an exercise room, pool and recreation room. It has 24 hour security and is close to many restaurants including Pizzeria Unos and many more. Everything including shopping, grocery and the beach is walking distance. The apartment faces the street but the beach is right behind the building. There is a washer/dryer on the floor that is about 2 dollars per load. The apartment is owned by Emmanuelle who lives in New York but is managed by her mother Doris who is awesome. Whenever I had any problem, it was solved within one day. She even provided me with parking in the nearby garage. Overall the stay was excellent and I was especially impressed with how well Doris handled everything. The apartment features marble floor throughout, a great shower, a small kitchen with stove and refridgerator. You also have a nice view of the city. I strongly recommend staying with them.

Small but Nice location

We enjoyed our stay at the condo and traveled with 2 adults and 2 small children. It was very small and the kitchen was even smaller but it met our needs for eating and sleeping. The building was under construction when we went and did not look as nice as advertised but the condo looked like the pictures. Half the burners on the stove were not working when we arrived and we were told that someone would be out the following day to fix them but we stayed for 6 nights and no one came. Showering was a terrible experiance because it is impossible to regulate the water temp., it was either freezing cold or burning hot with a few seconds of comfortable temp. in between. There is a lot of street noise in the evening but the view was nice and right around the corner from the beach. Nice pool and everyone we encountered was also very nice. Nice location: few blocks from large grocery store and walking distance to many rest. and Walgreens. It was pretty clean upon arrival but could have used a nice dusting. We paid extra for parking and it was not on site but in a nearby parking garage but not really an inconvienance. There is only seating for 2 at the table so we always had 2 people eating on the futon. Right around the corner from major expressway and about 10 min from the airport. Would rent again if in the area!

Dirty, Noisy Place!

We wouldn't recommend this appartment. It was dirty, a lot of noise and the owners were fast to show the appartment and amenities. Took the money and then left. Would meet us before we left,but never showed up. They said fully equipped kitchen??(you mean the plastic cutlery.) Hope they changed that by now and fixed the lanai door(didn't close, so could hear the traffic noise even better)

Great Location!

My husband and I stayed for 6 days and loved the condo and its location. It is within walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife and it has secure parking which is definitely a plus. The condo is cute and comfortable; perfect for a couple. The only slight downside was that there was some street noise especially on the weekend. We would definitely recommend staying here.
