About this property
Ruffinit at Buck Mountain-Breathtaking Views, Large Deck w/SIP, Wifi!
Ruffinit has it all! Sitting on top of 2.8 acres, it is in a very private location with nothing but silence around you. Enjoy the long range mountain views from the screened in porch or the oversized deck.
Ruffinit cabin is really not ruffing it! It is extremely comfortable with all the amenities from home including broadband internet. The cabin inside is constructed in beautiful tongue and groove yellow pine and has been furnished and equipped with everything you need for a great vacation. Main floor bedrooms recently got new hardwood floors, some photos may show carpet. The pottery, pictures and knickknack's all go together to give you a very 'homey' feeling.
On this mountain, there is also a fishing pond, beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails and an outdoor pavilion. Please follow all neighborhood posted signs and rules. Renters assume all liability and risk while using neighborhood amenities.
Currently Buck Mountain is experiencing a drought as of 2024 (it takes about 2 years for rain to get to the well). We have had some guest run out of water in the house after taking long showers but is rare as of Oct 2024. Water will regenerate within minutes but long baths are not possible. We also supply the drinking water and water for flushing in case water does run out during your stay. Again it will come back slowly within minutes.

Gorgeous property with phenomenal views! Comfortable rooms, cozy fireplace, and the kitchen had everything you need if you are just looking to get away from the daily hustle. Watching the sunset from the balcony every night was amazing. Highly recommend!!
The location and property are beautiful the only downside is the garbage. You need to take it with you and it’s hard to accommodate it with your luggage and there is no place near to dump it.

Garbage is to be taken to the trash center that is listed in the check out instructions I emailed before your stay, and left in the binder at the cabin. You drive almost right by it when you leave the mountain. Hope you got the sweatpants I had to ship you as well.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this cozy lil cabin. My favorite thing about this cabin was the view of the mountains. It’s truly breathtaking. The cabin was clean, fully stocked with everything we needed and the host, Aynsley was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

So glad you enjoyed your stay at Ruffinit! Come back anytime!
We booked this cabin last minute due to a softball tournament in the area. We had a wonderful experience-from the beautiful mountain views to the cleanliness of the cabin! The location creates a nice balance between seclusion and access to various restaurants/eateries/shopping. The owners were quick to respond when we asked a question, overall we enjoyed our stay!

About the host

Our family fell in love with Buck Mountain in 2007 when we bought a vacation home. After years of making the drive from Fuquay Varina for holidays and weekends we decided full time was for us! We live here now full time, and love all the area has to offer. We wanted to share the memories we were creating with others, and decided to buy another property to rent mid 2020. Most weekends you will find us on the mountain as well enjoying all it has to offer with our two boys and two dogs! We also own The Block in N. Wilkesboro! If you are looking for a fun day in downtown N. Wilkesboro come see us to jump at our trampoline, ninja warrior, Roller skating, arcade, Goofy Golf and toddler park! We also own The Lost Wombat Restaurant in downtown North Wilkesboro that has a large playground and yard. We also co-own a charming 93 year old movie theatre, the Liberty Theatre! We show all first run movies for just $5.00! And opening Summer 2025 Wisdom Brewing also in downtown North Wilkesboro. Come enjoy downtown North Wilkesboro when you visit WNC.
