LATITUDE ADJUSTMENT
Need a “LATITUDE ADJUSTMENT”? Our spotless 2 BR, 2 BA stilt home on a 60’ wide canal in VO at MM23, on Cudjoe Key awaits your arrival. Sleeps 6 with a queen bed in the master, queen bed in the 2nd bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There are smart TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. Stunning canal views in two directions from the covered patio, with a view of the ocean to the northeast. The gated community of Venture Out offers a short drive to Key West (23 mi.) & many activities without leaving the park, such as a heated pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, salt water swimming, playground, bocce, tennis, & pickle ball courts, pool table, and ping pong. We have 4 adult bikes for your use. Nearby you have Bahia Honda State Park or tour the Civil War fort at Ft. Zachery Taylor Park in Key West. There’s amazing snorkeling on Looe Key. You may take a tour from just a couple of islands away. Park your boat at your front door. Our 35’ seawall is perfect for all your boating needs, with dock posts, cleats, swim ladder and fish cleaning table. Your boat must fit, tip to tip with the motor up, within the 35'. We have a lower level fridge and freezer for your bait and fresh catch, and you will have use of our lockable storeroom under the home, for your dive and fishing gear, or personal items such as suitcases and beach paraphernalia. The upper deck has outdoor seating for 4-6 and under the house there’s a patio set for 6 people. A gas grill is provided on the lower patio area facing the canal. If fishing isn't in your plans for the day, and lounging and reading a book is more to your liking, we have 2 lounge chairs by the seawall. Wifi and cable are included in the rent as well as full size washer and dryer. Parking for one vehicle is allowed under the home (no exceptions). When space is available, we have parking in our overflow lot for an additional fee, depending on the size of the vehicle. Our on-site Realtor handles the rental details and we are both available for all of your questions before and after your arrival. The reason we have only one review is when we switched to a new rental company the 45+ 5-star reviews that we had transferred to their VRBO listing. I am happy to share their site so that you may see that rating.
Don't pay those crazy Key West hotel rates when you can have much more space and privacy in your own home for less money. This is a great getaway home for couples or families. You may be wondering why our rates are much lower than others during September, October, and Nov. These months are our slowest season and we want our place rented. Please compare, and then take advantage of these great rental rates during the fall.
Other fees not included in the base rental rate are:
Venture Out entrance fee paid upon arrival at the gate: $125. This must be paid by debit or credit card.
Monroe County and FL state tax: 12.5%
Agent processing fee: $75.00
Damage fee waiver: $55.00
Cleaning fee:150.00
Additional parking fee: please inquire based upon size of vehicle. Additional parking is first come first served and not guaranteed. Our Realtor will give you alternative parking options ahead of time. Please no smoking in the home and no pets. We speak French and English.
We would like all potential guests to be aware that we are a private and individually owned residential condominium and NOT A RESORT, therefore we ask that all guests treat our community as such. VRBO seems to have verbiage that says we are a resort but this is not accurate.

We fell in love with Venture Out in 2011 and have been spending our winters (out of Minnesota) here since. We rent our home at #230 when we are not there, and decided to buy another property in VO to use as a vacation rental. This is an amazing community in which to stay, as everyone is very friendly and our park is safe and comfortable. If you are a first timer to the Keys please contact us so that we can answer all of your questions.
Why they chose this property
Because it has been maintained nicely and came fully furnished - perfect place to host guests. Also, because the seawall is larger than some in VO, so you can park most any boat here.
What makes this property unique
35' seawall. Gated and safe community. There's a boat ramp with gas (we hear we have some of the lowest prices in the Keys), an onsite store, onsite management company, as well as the wonderful Keys weather, especially during the winter months.
