The view and porch were great. However the beds were uncomfortable, the plumbing was in need of repairs and there were structure issues that needed addressing.

We are so glad the views and porch made for a memorable stay - that oceanfront setting really is something special. We will pass along your feedback on the beds to the homeowners, though we do find mattress comfort to be one of the more subjective aspects of the vacation rental experience and what feels perfect for one guest may not for another. As for the plumbing and structural concerns, we want to assure you that this home is an older, original Edisto Beach cottage, which is reflected in the marketing information and is part of its charm. That said, the property recently underwent an extensive insurance inspection and all items identified for repair were completed over the off-season, so the home is safe and sound.
