We are sorry to hear the first day felt disorienting as you got settled in. We do want to note that the separate entry staircase and layout of Beachwood are features of the home's design that are described in the listing, as the ground-level suite operates with its own private entrance - a setup that many families appreciate for the added independence it provides. That said, we completely understand that arriving somewhere new and navigating an unfamiliar layout can take some getting used to, and we are sorry the transition wasn't smoother. We have already addressed the shower door, so that will not be an issue for future guests. We also appreciate your feedback on the window treatments and will take a look at that bedroom. Beachwood is one of our classic Edisto cottages and is priced to reflect that character for a 5-bedroom home steps from the beach. If a more updated style is ever a preference, we have a number of more modern properties that may be a great fit for your next visit, and our team would be happy to help you find the right match. Being just one row off the beach really does make for easy access and ocean breezes!
