RARE 6 bedroom, 4 bath OCEANFRONT home, wonderful views & breathtaking sunsets!

An oceanfront home with direct beach access is located in one of the most desirable areas of Edisto Beach which offers spectacular sunsets, calm waters and a long stretch of beach perfect for relaxing and playing with the family.

Anything with a small "i" in a round black circle will give you additional information by hovering over it with your cursor or clicking on it! )

Our home offers a 6 bedroom, 4 bath oasis and two of our bedrooms even has a private vanity in them; no more wait for a bathroom to brush your teeth or shave; you will be able to do it in the privacy of your room.
Dual beautiful Master Bedroom suites; one upstairs and one on the main level; BOTH of which have stunning panoramic ocean views.
Our family room features soaring two story walls, glass doors and wall to wall windows offering you a panoramic view while you relax and socialize. Just off the family room is our deck with lounge chairs and table for al-fresco dining overlooking the gorgeous ocean.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare a lowcountry feast.
The views are quite special here at the southern end of the island where the St. Helena Sound meets the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy almost daily dolphin sightings swimming close to the shore and a spectacular sunset. Guests seek out our area because of the low waves and the large sandy beach for the kids to play on.
We have a large hot and cold shower as you come off the beach and after your shower just sit down and relax in the swing; you're on vacation....the stress is gone.
In the entertainment room under the house you will find a ping-pong table available for family matches!
If you would like even more to do, you may purchase a pass** to have access to all of the amenities that Wyndham has to offer. There are swimming pools (three of them and yes, one is heated and is just a short walk), the hot tub, the putt-putt course, the playground and the tennis courts.

Absolutely perfect!

This is our second time staying in this home and it couldn’t be more perfect. Has everything you need, comfy beds, well stocked, and the views are absolutely amazing. We had short walks to watch the sunrise and we had the sunset right at our door step, stunning. Of course the dolphin watching is always incredible as well. Looking forward to our next stay!

Sunset Dolphin Watch is the perfect name for this home. Saw 7 beautiful sunsets and probably 77 dolphins! Well equipped, clean, wonderful location, stunning views. It doesn’t get much better than this!

We Can't Imagine a Better Place!

Just checked out of Sunset Dolphin Watch and we're already missing it. The house was simply outstanding in all ways, from the beautiful layout to the incredible gourmet kitchen (everything we needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday week!) to the absolutely breathtaking views no matter where you looked. The house is perfect in every way, comfortable beds, wonderful furnishings, impeccably clean. It's true what they say about this house - you will not want to leave. Don't miss the sunsets from the deck, and watch for dolphins every morning and afternoon (actually we saw them off and on all day long!) Our beach was covered in shells and we just never got enough of being there - even though it was Thanksgiving the highs during the week were in the 60's and 70's. Also thanks to the owners for all the sweet, thoughtful decorating touches in the house - it really makes it feel like the house is your home away from home.

Great location, but bedbugs!

The property had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group and it was so convenient to the beach. Property manager was easy to work with and very responsive when we called about issues. A handyman fixed 3 wobbly barstools and tried to fix the sliding glass door that had a big gap. A handful of lightbulbs need to be replaced along with smoke alarm batteries. They were taking care of all of that, but then we discovered bedbugs. They quickly called a pest control company that discovered all life stages of bedbugs in just one of the bedrooms. Sadly, we had to move out so they could exterminate the entire house. We did receive a full refund, but had to find our own replacement accommodations. Hopefully the next renters won't have to deal with bedbugs and the mattress and boxspring in that bedroom will be replaced with new.

Great location BUT...

This was our sixth visit to Edisto. We had always traveled there through our Wyndham timeshare. This time we had a larger group so we needed a larger space. This home was located exactly where we wanted to be. Pros: location, size, beach access, vanities in the upstairs bedrooms, plenty of bathroomsCons: this home is in dire need of some TLC. The deck is not safe at all! There are many nails sticking up through the deck boards and that is a hazard for all of the bare feet that came across it. The deck is also not attached to the house and the railings were very loose. Someone did come and try to stabilize it which was helpful but there's no way that the property should have been rented and that condition in the first place. The boardwalk is also a disaster. Lifted boards and lifted nails. There needs to be a thorough inspection of this home!The interior is definitely in need of some upgrades. The faucet in the kitchen leaks, the toilet and the upstairs bathroom constantly runs unless the handle is in an exact spot, the fan in the master bathroom doesn't work, etc. The TV in one of the main floor bedrooms doesn't work. It really could be a beautiful home if the owners put some effort into maintaining it.

Sunset dolphin watch

Great location and ease of rental. Concerned with floors that had soft spots. Oven was not cleaned and chose not to use…very comfortable house and enjoyed the stay…. Would recommend organization of closets and cabinets which had tons of stuff from what I assume was previous renters. Can of bed big spray on counter met me when I arrived although I did not find any evidence of bugs… may have been a preventative spray opportunity. Add said ping pong table under house… but was none…

Great house in great location!

Sunset Dolphin Watch lives up to it’s name. We watched beautiful sunsets from the porch and saw dolphins everyday. It is a comfortable beach house with a large living room/kitchen area for family and friends. The bathrooms were spacious and well maintained. It should be noted that this house is a duplex, not a full house. There are separate entrances, porches and outdoor spaces. You only share the boardwalk to the beach. Also, this house is on the sound, not “oceanfront”. There is still plenty of beach to enjoy. But, you don’t have big waves. It was perfect for our grandchildren to play on. The rental company was quick to respond to any texts we sent with questions. Hope to come back soon.

Awesome location

Great time had by all. Can’t beat this location on Edisto. My only wish is that the beds were bigger. The rooms are plenty big enough to upgrade most of the beds to King and Queen.

This house has seen better days. It badly needs maintenance.

The view was great. I never got tired of looking out the back windows. The sunsets were a postcard. However next time I would rent a house either on the ocean side or at least much closer. While the sound had beautiful sunsets and lots of shells, it also had more swampy conditions and bugs. The island itself is a nature lover’s paradise.

There were 9 of us - 6 adults and 3 small children - and the House was perfect for us.

The House was spotless, a perfect size for the nine of us, and within an easy distance from the beach. The kitchen was well-stocked, the windows were clean, the WiFi worked perfectly, and the outside deck was nicely shaded in the mornings. We didn’t even need the sixth bedroom. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.

Great beach house!

I would give this property 4.5 stars if I could. It's a great beach house. It's spacious and a good house for kids. There are a lot of things we appreciated about this house: hard-surfaced floors throughout, a well-stocked kitchen, working garbage disposal, nice washer and dryer, clean upon arrival, bathrooms in good repair, functional large Weber charcoal grill, locked storage space, great location, some covered parking, dual climate control, two bedrooms on the main floor, and fabulous upstairs master shower. A few things we disliked: porch is not covered (however is shaded in the morning), not enough drawer space in the master bedrooms (and the master on the main level had broken drawers) and a worn and squeaky mattress/frame in the girl's room (though this didn't bother our four-year old). The absolute best thing about this house is the view of the sunsets! We would definitely stay here again. The water is much calmer than the Atlantic side and our four and seven-year old enjoyed wading and swimming without being knocked down by the waves. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As it was our first visit to Edisto the property met our family’s needs. Plenty of room and right on the beach for the kids to come and go easily. We had no problems with the property and the only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it could use some TLC especially outside and updating some fixtures inside. Nothing to deter us from staying there again. I greatly appreciated the quite street!!

A fantastic beach house!

We had a wonderful time! The house was clean and it's a beach house so we had to sweep everyday because we brought sand in with us! The house is very large and we were able to spread out and not be on top of each other. We will be back!

Wonderful family vacation in a great house!

Tried to leave this before but I guess the site is messed up. This house was fantastic. All of the bedrooms and all of the bathrooms were great on their own but the two bedrooms with the vanities inside of them was a real luxury. It was very clean and we had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Great vacation!

It doesn't get any better. The reservation was easy. They emailed us back regularly late in the evening when we emailed them and we did not have to waste time going to an office and checking in; we went straight to the house and started vacation. The house is large enough for all of us to have our own space and the view is spectacular. The beach in front of the house is very private and we know why you call it Sunset Dolphin Watch; they gave us a beautiful show every day. Thank you! Thank you!

This has to be the best secret on Edisto; we had a wonderful vacation!

Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your home on vacation; the location was perfect for the children and actually for all of us! Quiet and peaceful and perfect. The kids played and the water went out so gradually that it seemed liked a big pool. I have to reiterate what one of the other people said on their review; it was really very nice to have people who would work with you back and forth at night; thank you, Richard & Mary. We have stayed on Edisto in other homes and have never had that before. This house is fully equipped and actually does sleep what they say in bedrooms; we did not feel like we packed in together. Thanks again!

A wonderful vacation!

I can't really say enough about it. We work many hours and are very busy and having Richard & Mary email us back at 10:30 pm and helping us plan our vacation was incredible; we've certainly never had that kind of customer service before and we have stayed on Edisto many times. Being able to jsut go directly to our vacation home without having to stop and check in or pick up keys, etc was also unexpected since we've never had that before and we definitely appreciate the time saving. Our family has grown over the years and having 6 bedrooms AND 4 bathrooms was fantastic. That shower in the upstairs Master Suite is extremely nice; such a luxury. Thank you!
