Treetops Lodge gives you the full mountain experience; the decor is rustic and comfortable throughout. There are two master bedrooms with King Beds and attached bathrooms--perfect for couples traveling together. Kids will love climbing the spiral staircase to the two bedrooms (each with 2 twin beds). You'll find quality linens and bedding throughout Treetops Lodge, so you can always count on a good night's sleep.
Treetops offers not one, but two fireplaces to relax by! You can curl up on the sofa next to the fireplace on the main floor or slip down to the lower level and enjoy the second fireplace with a convertible futon to stretch out on. Both living areas feature 40" TVs with Blu-Ray. We also provide TVs in the master suites.
Everything you need to prepare great meals is at your fingertips in the kitchen: blender, toaster, coffeemaker and full complements of cookware, utensils and dinnerware. Whether you just want to fix a hearty breakfast or prepare a Thanksgiving feast, the kitchen has you covered.

Our Annual Trip to Mt. Mitchell

This was our third straight year of going to Mt. Mitchell for my wife’s annual family get together and the second time we’ve stayed at Tree Tops Lodge which offers the perfect setting of serenity, connivance, and all the space and items we need for a great get-a-way. The owners are super easy and pleasant to work with and the house is always clean and relaxing. We plan to stay here again next year!!

Mountain Getaway

We really liked this property. The neighborhood was tranquil. The porch was huge and surrounded by beautiful trees. The beds were comfortable. We didn't spend too much time in the cabin as we were mainly there to explore the mountains and local attractions. We had a great time.

My NC Summer Escape

We needed a break from the SW Florida heat and Treetops Lodge was the perfect spot! Everything was perfect - the cabin, the shady deck, location, access to great hiking, Blue Ridge Parkway. The owner, Mike Groves, was awesome - responsive and personable. Checked it periodically to make sure all was well with our stay. Secluded, quiet and private location. Didn't mind the drive to get supplies - beautiful foliage and everyone is super friendly. Will definitely be back! Thanks, Mike for a wonderful vacation!

Perfect location for quiet and relaxing trip to see the leaves. Hanging

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treetops. My family spent 5 days here to see the leaves change. It was a relaxing location with quick access to the parkway. It’s a secluded location but not too far from town if you need groceries or a coffee shop stop. The deck was amazing, very quiet and tranquil. Our little boy loved hanging out on the deck by the fire pit looking at the leaves. Also the house had everything we needed and the owners were very responsive. We highly recommend Treetops Lodge for any family looking for a quiet relaxing trip to the NC mountains!

Fall Break family trip

We all enjoyed our trip to Treetops Lodge. We especially enjoyed the fire pit on the deck and making S'more's - even though it was pretty cold at night during our visit. The fire pit put out a surprising amount of heat, which made the experience one of our favorite memories. Tips for future guests - the turn into the driveway was not very obvious and we missed it the first time. The road is narrow and curvy, and finding a place to turn around was somewhat of a challenge in our minivan. The other tip is that the kitchen is pretty small but is well equipped. We were able to have good meals during the entire stay with taking turns in the space and planning ahead. Overall, there was plenty of room for our group of 7, and we loved truly being among the treetops. All of us at some point made the comment that being there was like being on vacation in a big treehouse.

Much-needed family get together in a beautiful home and surrounding environment

This house was absolutely gorgeous and what an amazing layout. We all traveled from all over the country to get together to celebrate my mothers 66th birthday. There is so much to do in the area and Asheville is such a beautiful town. The only concern was pulling up to the house it’s quite steep but the owner of this property was beyond accommodating and highly recommend anyone that would like to disconnect and enjoy nature, hiking, great restaurants, and live music and just a cozy home feel. .

Wonderful cabin. Great non tourist area. Very quiet neighborhood with a wonderful deck, plenty of room and clean cabin. We’ve stayed at Treetops many times over the past 9 years. Mike and Shayma are wonderful hosts. Plan on returning next year.

Excellent stay

The property, location and amenities were fantastic. Everything worked wonderfully and the beds were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever had at a rental. Glad my kids were old enough to manage the spiral staircase but I will say that with small kids or elderly it would have been a concern. We just used the back walkway to go in and to the kitchen/main living area rather than entering from the basement and taking the spiral staircase. The owners did provide safety gates though which was much appreciated! Great stay and very very comfortable. Absolutely would rent again.

Incredible property and location

This property has incredible views and accommodates two full families. Two rooms are perfectly designed for 2 children each (total of 4) and 2 master suites for parents. One member of our party had to work for a few days of the trip and the downstairs room had a desk that accommodates perfectly. This is our second time at this property and we intend to rebook annually.

A tiptop stay at the Treetop Lodge!

Me and my family (4 of us) stayed 3 nights at the Treetop Lodge for our little weekend get-away and had a great time. The Lodge was the perfect size and the location was simply ideal. We chatted on the huge deck while sitting around the fire pit with Mount Mitchell as our wall paper. A wonderful view to be hold. There is a large dining table on the deck to share a meal outside and the weather was almost always ideal for such an activity. There are two fire places. We used the one of the main floor and didn't have a bit of trouble. We would gather around the fire place in the evenings and either talk away into the small hours of the morning or share a movie on the tellie. There are two local stores, north and south of the lodge that are just a few minutes drive where you can purchase fire wood (cheap!) and any other house hold items you may need or have forgotten. The lodge may look small on the outside but its plenty spacious on the inside. Mike and Shayma are the best hosts to deal with. Quick response and very accommodating. I had a couple of special request and Mike was quick to help me out. Fantastic service.

We had a wonderful experience, it was an ideal property for our family. We ate in almost every meal, the kitchen was well stocked with necessary tools and such. We went on several near by hikes, visited Grandfather Mountain, and Emerald Village. It was an ideal getaway for adults and children alike.

Wonderful Cabin Vacation

We had an amazing stay at Treetops Lodge. The cabin was so clean and cozy. It is in a wonderful location and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mt. Mitchell. It was bigger than what it looked like in the pictures with lots of room to spread out. The spiral stairs might be a little tricky for those older or young kids, but our two teens loved the loft. The deck was amazing to sit and enjoy the gas fire place and listen to the stream below. Kids enjoyed the Nintendo game system (ok, the adults as well). The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. It was a lovely home and we enjoyed our time. Mike and Shayma were wonderful to work with and were very helpful! The cabin met every expectation and more!!

We are a young family living in nearby Asheville NC. With two toddlers to keep us busy, we spend most of our non-work hours exploring the wild wonders of Western North Carolina. As an avid hiker and biker, Mike is a wealth of knowledge for most any hiking/biking/water spots in Western NC, so please use him as a resource! We hope that our guests love the mountains of Western North Carolina as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

Living in nearby Asheville, we felt the draw to this area almost immediately upon spending time swimming and fishing in the lovely and sparkly (it's fully of mica and the rocks shimmer and sparkle in the sunlight)Toe River. We love the bountiful beauty of Western North Carolina and wanted to extend our day trips here by purchasing the lovely Treetops Lodge. We were drawn to the privacy of Treetops, yet enjoyed the convenient location. The listening to the creek on the property from the expansive outdoor deck, it's not hard to see why we fell in love with this quaint property. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
