Family friendly Ski/Lake house in the White Mountains - walk to lake

Perfect for a family get away or a trip with friends.
Wake up in the morning to your coffee on the large tree-lined deck listening to the birds. This home has three levels of living, enough for everyone to have their own space. The main level has an open plan kitchen, dining area with large table (seats 10) for gatherings, and TV area with gas wood stove for convenient ambiance, and a full bathroom and bedroom. Upstairs you will find two large bedrooms, one with a full en-suite bathroom, and an additional full bathroom. On the lower level is a finished walk out basement, set up as a game room with a bar and a TV. Washer and dryer. Outside you'll find a fire pit for some evening fun.
Just a short 5 minute walk to the pond, with swim platform and sandy beach, great for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Another larger pond is also close by. Two canoes and a paddle board are available for your use. You can hike in the woods nearby and the area is great for stargazing. It is a 15-25 minute drive to skiing and North Conway amenities. Tuckerman Brewing Company is less than 10 minutes drive.

First Level: Living room that features a gas fireplace, large dining table that seats ten, 60' tv, dvd & cable. French Doors that lead to a large partial wrap around deck with gas grill, fire pit & patio furniture. Also on the first level is a full kitchen including all necessary cooking & serving items. (toaster oven, toaster, microwave, coffee maker) Bedroom with queen and twin bed along with a full bath.
Second Level: Master bedroom with queen & twin bed, private full bath,. 2nd bedroom with two sets of bunk beds along with a full bath.
Finished Basement: Family room with gas fireplace, full bed, bar, fusball table, hook and ring game, TV.
Unlocked WIFI, high speed internet, Wii system, 60' HD TV and 2 canoes.
Internet, Microwave, Dishwasher, Fireplace, Gas Grill, Game Room, Washer, Dryer, Gas Heat. We installed a Nest Thermostat, so our guests will never arrive to a cold house :-)
We do not provide Linens & Towels. If you require Linens & Towels, there is an additional $100 fee.
Queen size Beds (2), Twin/Single Beds, including Bunk Beds (6), Full bed (1)
If you stay with us in the winter and there is snow you will need a AWD or 4WD Vehicle or you can park at the bottom of the hill at the entrance of Edelweiss. The roads/driveway are gravel. No parties or functions No smoking. One bag of food trash will be removed, other trash needs to be taken.
It’s a ski house and it’s secluded which is part of the charm.

Great experience

The stay was perfect for what we were looking for. It is close to Cranmore Mt. and the outlets . Karen was great at communicating. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

The house was perfect for our family getaway. Plenty of room for all of us and location was great. You can see the updates owners are making to the property which is great. Would definitely stay here again, if available, on our next trip back to the White Mts.

Lovely wooded area with beautiful house

We enjoyed our stay, although we thought the pond would be closer. Too far to haul the canoe down the hill. Layout of rooms was perfect for our family. Clean and comfy.

Great Family Spot

We spent a great week here. The house was clean, well equipped, in good condition. We walked to the beach on the pond, played on the deck with water guns, and the grandkids loved the downstairs playroom. Thanks!

Another Great Vacation

We Love going to Eidelweiss. Karen And Dave's House is amazing. A short drive to the beach and the house was clean and we had a great time. This is the second time we rented here and it did not dissappoint.

Very spacious, nice spot

We stayed here for a ski weekend. 30 mins to Conway so not too bad. The house was very spacious. I love the layout. Teens hung out downstairs, little kids upstairs and adults had the main floor to themselves. We enjoyed our stay.

Great House

This house is perfect for our two families. We had 7 people total, but we could have easily fit more people comfortably. The teens and adults had their own space apart, as well as plenty of space together for eating meals and playing games. Everything was as described, and communication with the owners was really easy when we had questions. They were super prompt, helpful, and very nice. We boated in the larger lake in the neighborhood, which was lovely and peaceful. Would definitely recommend this property.

Private and peaceful!

Our family had a wonderful time at this home. It is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our family of 7 had plenty of room to spread out. Kids loved the basement room to hang out in. I could have spent all my time on the private deck out back. It was so quiet! So much privacy on this property. And we all loved the pond so much! Our kids were so happy spending the day swimming, jumping from the dock, and paddleboarding. The sandy beach is perfect for young kids. It was the perfect spot that we were looking for. We hope to come back!

Cosy house, be careful when showering

Overall good experience except for needing to be careful when showering. The shower water pressure is high and it is easy to get some splashed water on the bathroom ground. There isn't a waterproof treatment on the bathroom's ground corner so a small amount of splashed water will leak into the understairs.

Perfect Fun

What an amazing and beautiful home! The house was clean, very well maintained and perfect for the group we had since it has so many beds and places to lounge and relax. We enjoyed the outside deck, especially in the morning with coffee, and the fire pit was perfect for the beautiful evenings. The neighborhood was quiet and dark which was great for star gazing. We spent the day at the pond using the provided canoe and paddle board. The pond was fun, especially the diving dock and exploring around. The people were kind and everyone there had the same mindset - fun and relaxation. Aside from the perfect house, I will say our hosts were also perfect. I feel the best hosts are those that you know are available if needed but provide us with privacy. Karen promptly answered a logistics question I had a couple weeks prior to our arrival. The day before, she provided me with important info and made sure I knew she could be contacted if needed, just the way I like it! Each person who came commented on what a great weekend it was and how we picked the perfect house. I am definitely saving this place in my favorites!

Beautiful house, relaxing get-away

Lovely, spacious, comfortable, well-laid-out home far from other houses and nestled in trees. My husband, 18-year-old daughter and I stayed here for two weeks in June (3 of her friends joined for 4 of those days and they had a blast playing foosball in the basement). Plenty of room for even more guests, though we didn't end up needing it. I also appreciated there being an abundance of dishes, glasses and silverware! Around the property we saw tons of scurrying chipmunks, and even deer several times. Access to basketball court and canoe at nearby little beach (one of four walkable beaches around three ponds). The area is hilly so be prepared to walk uphill back from the beach. PSA: as in all areas in the Northeast, check yourself for ticks after walking in the brush or tall grass (as in where the canoes are kept). We enjoyed visits to Madison boulder, Diana's Baths, North Conway, and Mount Washington - but mostly spent time just chillin'. I appreciated that the owners are helpful and responsive. I might subtract a quarter star for wonky shower control in the master bath, challenging dishwasher, and trees being a little too close to the fire pit for my comfort. It would also be handy if they had more leftover containers (luckily we brought our own) and offered guests more than one key. But I expect the homeowners to continue to make improvements to the property - and these are minor things that did not interfere with our enjoyment. Really and truly a lovely house!

Great location

I booked this house with my family after a last minute change in vacation plans. This house was great and the rooms seemed larger than in the pictures. Cute decor too. Nice quick car ride to the water (or a 6 min walk) and only 25 minutes to North Conway for shopping, so there was something for everyone to do.

Thank you Karen and Dave, the house was amazing. It was charming and lovely, it definitely accommodated our needs. It was a bit out of my budget but it was worth it, my family and I had a wonderful time. I will keep this in mind for next year.

Karen was amazingly responsive and excellent to work with! The house was very clean and met our needs very well. Our kids loved the local pond! And the fire pit was great. We had a glitch with check in but that error was on VRBOs end and did not detract from our stay.

Super clean. Perfect ski house! Skied at King Pine and Cranmore. Our kids loved the downstairs. We plan on renting again! Owners were so easy to work with. Definitely recommend this property!

Why they chose this property

We loved this property from the moment we saw it. Nestled in the woods on a private corner lot. Close to the pond and not far from North Conway and the ski hills but you get to Madison first! Plenty space to be able to share with friends and family. Lots of outdoor activities, restaurants and shopping.
