You deserve a vacation, and this home would be perfect! Escape to beautiful views over Middle Pea Porridge Pond in this spacious contemporary style home. This fully equipped waterfront property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, offering enough space to accommodate up to 11 people. You will truly be able to appreciate the beauty of the pond from the deck overlooking the water, and if you listen close enough you may be lucky enough to hear the loons off in the distance. Another wonderful focal point of this home is the unique “see-thru” stone fireplace which can be enjoyed from the living and dining area. Please note, this property does not have internet.

(PLEASE NOTE, THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE A SANDY BEACH. THE WATER FRONTAGE IS NATURAL, TO ACCESS THE WATER THERE IS A LARGE HILL THAT SLOPES DOWNWARD FROM THE HOUSE TO THE WATER. THIS PROPERTY DOES NOT HAVE A DOCK. THERE IS A SANDY BEACH JUST DOWN THE STREET CALLED "GENEVA BEACH". ALSO, THE DRIVEWAY SITS UP HIGHER THAN THE HOUSE WITH STAIRS THAT LEAD DOWN TO THE HOUSE FROM THE DRIVEWAY.)

Great summer family retreat

The location was beautiful the cleanliness of the property was amazing as well I had a fantastic day had a lot of fun but the only thing I would criticize is the cleanliness of the mattress protectors and the mattresses themselves they were very hard and lumpy and We didn’t really get a good nights sleep But other than that everything was fantastic I would highly recommend this property

Dirty

The property was very dirty i found dried up french fries in the drawers cobwebs everywhere. The water was turned off had to call you to find out where the shutoff was. Bedrooms had no pillows or blankets. The 4th bedroom was not usable because there is no heat in the lower level and the heat never worked for the rest if the house. Way over priced for what you get. I wouldn't stay there for the cost. You need to go to a realtor office to get the keys and sign a huge waiver to stay.

Great birthday getaway

We had an amazing time at this location with our pups! Our friends had a blast. It was sad that there was a hot tub we couldn't use but we barely were on the deck unless grilling! The bedrooms were wonderful, the lake is gorgeous. The mini dock down by the water was im guessing just to get in the canoe or paddle boat so don't expect a finished dock which is fine for us we didn't get our feet in the water cause it was cold at the end of September!! The rental place answered me back within hours of responding to my questions. To pick up the keys for the house u have to go to the rental office which is 15-20 minute drive from the house which wasn't my favorite but worked out since the best butcher market place was 1 mibute up the street for our steaks and fish called "Vino"was so good on the grill!! We were right on the strip of all the grocery stores where the office is so it didn't effect going out of our way to get the keys for the house. This is a great family house with lots of treasures inside to surprise you!! Pet friendly also which was amazing also!

Peaceful Getaway!

Reviewer Comments: This was a lovely spot on Pea Porridge Pond with canoe and paddle boat for your use, a lovely deck overlooking the pond with breezes to keep bugs at bay. It is a dog friendly property so furniture is appropriate. The property requires stairs and has a musty basement. The property could be improved with several new mattresses, a working TV in the basement, and new pots and pans that will heat on the electric stove. Although it is clear that grill should be cleaned, we arrived to a grease overflow.There is a whole house stereo and plenty of firewood. No motors on the water and sandy beaches within walking distance. With a few improvements, I would rent again!Kangamangus, North Conway, and the Madison Boulder are attractions nearby. We spent most of our time on the pond-peaceful and relaxing. The Loons visited often!

Very disappointed

Really need to hire some cleaners.Buy some furniture, kitchen stuff. Grill was gross & no propane! No paddle boat! Dirty socks all over the property outside! Had to buy trash bags and then pay $5 a bag to dispose of them! Which by the way, transfer station not open Tuesday,Wednesday or Thursday ! Toaster only cooked on one side! Had to empty humidifier twice a day! The mattresses were beyond cheap and wrapped in some kind of plastic lining you would find on a bed wetters . For a premier renter, very disappointed

Could’ve been better for the price!!

Loved the location. Cons needs a deep cleaning!! Paddle boat was full of water so we could not use! Roof leak in the living room and basement toilet!! Not enough trash bags toilet paper paper towels. Had to trade in gas tank because all the propane was empty for grill!!!! Not worth the money for what we got considering we had to bring our own sheets/towels and cleanliness of the house. I would not stay again. We made the best of our stay

Grill caked with years of grease and oil. Given price to rent, Little bit of attention to guest comfort and safety desperately needed.

Great staycation lots to do in the area. Quiet area.

Swimming in property not great but beach was around corner and great. House is big and comfortable. Internet was missed. Spent a lot of time on the deck. Of dogs enjoyed it as well

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved finding new items throughout the house during the week. Seems like someone found something new each day, great decorating! We would definitely book again. Only drawback was we wish the dock was in working order to access the water better. Thanks for the memories!

Nice spacious house, beautiful view off of deck.

The home was perfect size for the 9 of us. Very peaceful area with great view. Unfortunately, upon arrival we noticed the home was not very clean. The steps required sweeping for safety, the dining table had crumbs scattered throughout, the microwave/ stove handles and push pads were greasy and the dishwasher was filled with leftover food that created a terrible odor. Three of the 6 mattresses must be 25 plus years old. Not what I would have expected for the price we paid. Fireplace was great and we did enjoy the game room however I can only rate this hole as 3/5.

Great house in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lapka House. It was clean, convenient to hiking, leaf peeping, shopping and restaurants. The house had a great fireplace and everything you need to be comfortable. Really enjoyed how the home was decorated. Beautiful pond views in a nice community.

Lots of space for 7 of us. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was plenty. Beds were not the most comfortable, but that's OK. Kids dealt with not having WiFi. TV in basement was nearly useless as it was covered with snow, but others worked fine. Kitchen was very well-equipped. The empty hot tub on the deck was sad to look at. We weren't expecting one, but to see it and know that we couldn't use it was sad. The waterfront area really needs a dock in order to be useful. We precariously made our way in and out of the water. I definitely think younger kids (or even adults or anyone) would get hurt. I highly suggest fixing the dock so that people could get in and out of the water easily. The place was clean"ish." Certainly not spotless, but fine. Thankfully we brought our own fans because it did get HOT - but that's OK. Plenty of hooks to hang towels in the bathroom (so many places don't do this, so it was nice). The entire "Eidelweiss Village" was GREAT. Very quiet and nicely laid out. Wonderful activities are only 15 minutes away. We would definitely book here if the dock got fixed. Would have to think about it if not.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a family reunion so our stay was joyous because of that. Weather for the first half was not great, but it improved. Having the beach nearby was great for the small children, but one had to watch them around the property because of a retaining wall that had a steep drop-off (on the way to the water). It was also good to have three bathrooms with such a number of people. The house was generally clean except for the floors/carpets which were very dirty. Not great when you have small ones crawling around. The area is nice for people with many activities to do.
