This was a dream rental. The house was very cozy and perfectly sized for my group who visited town for Rhinebeck. I wish we had more time to explore the area immediately around the house, but we really enjoyed the view of the lake and the cozy interior.
We have a great time at the lake! The property was clean and the beds were super comfy. The garage was well stocked with multiple sizes of life jackets and my kids loved exploring on the kayaks. If we ever have a reason to go back I would definitely stay again!
The property was well equipped, it had everything anyone would need to be comfortable. Anne Marie the host was very attentive and available if we needed anything. We really enjoyed our stay there it has a beautiful view of the lake and it was so peaceful and quiet. There is a nicely maintained beach not far from the property. The hot tub was an added treat. We would consider renting the house again.
Four friends stayed for 6 nights. We had 2 days of rain, a nice day, and then the smoke from the Canadian fires set in. Fortunately the house, while small, is comfortable for 4 adults to "hang out". It's very clean, nicely decorated, has comfortable beds, and the kitchen is well appointed for cooking. We used the kayaks once, which the host has made very easy to do. The area is lovely and interesting to explore - even in the rain and smoke. Thank you for a nice place to stay for a needed change of scenery!
My family and I, including my four month old granddaughter, could not have enjoyed our stay at the Lake House more. It was perfect for us, just roomy enough and attractively decorated with three nice bedrooms including a very spacious master suite. The kitchen was well supplied, the living room was very cozy, and there were plenty of towels and blankets and all the things that make you comfortable. We loved the porch overlooking the scenic lake with the autumn leaves in full splendor, and we loved the grill and the fire pit. The house is well situated for exploring the Hudson Valley and its many pleasures.
The best thing about the Lake House, though, is the proprietor, Anne Marie. She is amazingly responsive-- she answered every question promptly and provided everything we needed and more. She is thoughtful and generous, and we're so grateful other for the way she did everything in her power to make our stay the lovely, relaxing time it was. We hope we'll have a chance to return sometime soon.
This was my daughter and new grandson's first trip away from home and The Lake House was the perfect choice! Anne Marie was an amazing, responsive host. The house was absolutely immaculate, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. She made so many kind provisions for our little one (crib, highchair, baby bath products, etc). Could not have asked for a better home away from home! Thank you Anne Marie & family
The house is nicely decorated and very clean with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel and more! The beds and all the linens were top of the line quality and comfy! It is so peaceful on the front porch in the morning and evening. The family caught some nice size bass and pickerel. Anne Marie was so kind to take the kayaks down to the water for us and was very responsive to any questions. When Anne Marie found out we had an infant in the group she quickly offered to set up travel crib and high chair. She was so kind and a great hostess.
The kitchen has all the comforts and gadgets of home and more! We found several great hikes and the sandy beach on the other lake nearby was very nice. The hot tub was a nice retreat in the eve as well! We also loved the town of Rhinebeck with quaint and one of kind stores and restaurants.
We would definitely love to come back for another family vacation. Again, we would all say, 5 stars all around!
Thank you Anne Marie
We truly enjoyed our stay at Ann Marie's property and took advantage of all the amenities. Even on the hottest days, it was comfortable in the evening which was great since we took advantage of the fire pit which comes with a great view of the lake. If you like outdoor activities during the day and chilling in the evening, this is the perfect spot.
We had a great time at this property. It lived up to its description and we were lucky to enjoy the snow during thanksgiving. The property was well suited for our family of 5 with 3 young children. We will book again!
We stayed at Anne Marie's lake house for a weeklong virtual writing retreat and it could not have been lovelier. Check in was very easy, the entire house was SPOTLESS, and the view of the river was beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need (I cooked all week!), Anne Marie had hotel-like amenities everywhere (bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, towels, first aid kit, etc, snacks in the kitchen) and the living room with TV was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. We had a couple minor questions throughout the week and Anne Marie answered immediately and was always very helpful. It was truly the perfect place to escape the city for a week. I'd recommend it to anyone!
