About this property
Hilltop Home on 10 acres w/ hot tub, fire-pit + solar
Welcome to our secluded country hideaway, located near the charming Dutchess County towns of Amenia, Millerton and Millbrook. We sit up on a hill overlooking a farm pasture, surrounded by woods and a grassy expanse on 10 very private acres. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, sleeps 9, a spiral staircase into a kids loft, a media room, hot tub, firepit, BBQ grill, parking and much more. We installed a new solar array in 2022 that powers the entire home.
Our home has 3 bedrooms, sleeps 9, a media room, an open kitchen, dining and living room areas, 3 full bathrooms, 2 king beds, a queen bed, bunkbeds, a sleeper sofa and two large decks with nice views. We have radiant floor heating throughout the house, and wall A/C units in all of the bedrooms and living room areas so it stays nice and cool in the summer months. Our large main deck has a gas BBQ grill and table and chairs that are perfect for outside dining. The other, more secluded deck has a hot tub, outside shower and chaise deck chairs. There is a very big side yard for yard games and endless, safe kid entertainment plus a tree swing. We also just installed a large gas generator, just in case the power goes out, so you would not be affected, if it did. Plus a high grade HEPA air purifier to help those with seasonal allergies.
Exterior Cameras: please note that we have an exterior Arlo doorbell camera on the front door, which we use for package deliveries and security, as well as an exterior camera 200 feet from the home up our hill above the solar panels to monitor the home condition (eg - tree fall, snow on roof, etc.)
* NOTE: Our family is allergic to pet hair so we have a 1-pet maximum policy, a pet fee for the additional wear and tear, and ask that all pets come with their own bed and linens.

Mark & family have a lovely house and peaceful setting! We were there for a working weekend at a local festival, and it was great house to spend time and recharge!
The house, property and area were exactly what we were looking for! Mark and Eva were very friendly and communicated about everything we needed to make our stay extremely memorable!
Very good stay with extended family. Lovely area. We wished there was a comfortable living room couch &area to sit in. There was one on the ground floor room but it was way too musty smelling to spend time in. I would also suggest putting reading lights on nightstands in big bedrm.
The house was everything we needed for a long Thanksgiving weekend with young children. Mark and Eva are super hosts and we’re really looking forward to going back
We enjoyed a beautiful, snow filled weekend in this wonderful home! We spent lots of time playing games, building a snowman and enjoying the homes many amenities. Would highly recommend this property for any occasion. Owners and property manager were very helpful and communicative.
We had a fantastic day… The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a bit of a different experience for us city girls, but the perfect house to relax and venture into the surrounding areas from. The host communicated very well and responded to any questions we had very quickly. Would highly recommend this house if you truly want to get away from it all. The view from the home was absolutely stunning!
Our family had such an amazing time during our stay! The house has a great layout and there’s plenty to do between the hot tub, fire pit and sledding down the hill on the side of the house. The kids are already asking when we are going back! Mark was a very gracious host and checked in regularly to assure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying here during any season! We will certainly be back! Thanks again Mark!

Where do I begin? Mark, Eva, and Rudy have such a beautiful home and were such wonderful, inviting, accommodating hosts. The 6 of us were looking for peace and quiet in the country over Veteran's Day Weekend and they absolutely delivered on that. We felt totally at peace and welcome and it made our time there that much better. (Bonus points for the hot tub - we spent so much time chatting and stargazing in it!) We are so beyond thankful for everything and definitely can't wait to visit again!
Our group of 6 had a lovely stay at Mark and Eva's cabin. The check in process was easy and both the owners and property manager, Rudy, were very responsive to any questions we had. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we needed and we really enjoyed the outdoor space, as the weather allowed. Our only feedback is that the common spaces were a bit lacking in comfortable hang out space for a group of our size. The dining table was really the only place that we could all be together. There's certainly room to set up some sort of living room space with plenty of seating for all. Overall a great stay and excellent location.
This unique house atop a hill, surrounded by forest land is completely private, secluded, quiet, and peaceful. When you step outside, all you hear is the sound of birds or squirrels rustling through the leaves. The air is so clean. Such a perfect place. The house itself is comfortable and well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay relaxed and easy. The kitchen has everything you need if you enjoy cooking. The bedrooms are just perfect with plenty of room and comfortable bedding. The hot tub is just an added perk. The location is rural and the cow farm across the street is such a delight. The mooing of cows is just the perfect accompaniment to this special area. Eva and Mark are wonderful hosts. This is a place worth visiting to enjoy nature and find serenity.
Seven friends and I were looking for a large space to escape Brooklyn and Queens to spend a long weekend playing board games and enjoying some fresh air, and we could not have chosen a better spot. This home had every possible amenity, and each one of us had comfortable space to spread out and rest. We took advantage of the fire pit, the huge dining space (perfect for our group meals and long game nights!), and all the trails and wonderful recommendations our hosts provided in the area. We also got a total kick out of the records and record player and the surprise view of the highland cattle farm across the way—a huge treat for all the animal lovers in our group. Mark, Eva, and Rudy were very easy to communicate with when a personal emergency popped up and also were so kind to check in with us upon arrival and on our last day checking out. Would easily recommend this stay to anyone looking for an upstate getaway and would gladly stay here again. :)

Come back anytime, Samira! We enjoyed hosting you all.
Hosts were beautifully responsive and open to any suggestions or needs we had. Property is very quiet and beautiful although please be mindful of ticks and take all precautions. We so appreciated their solar panels and their commitment to getting off of fossil fuels as best as they can in their home. All the rooms are wonderful and our granddaughters especially enjoyed going up the winding staircase to the loft which served as a lovely play space for them. The kitchen however is rather small, We were 6 adults who all enjoy cooking so with limited counter space and an abundance of food to prepare, it was a challenge but we of course managed. The hosts provided many games, books and puzzles and we all had great fun with many of them. Thanks Eva and Mark for opening your home and for the delightful bottle of wine. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
We enjoyed our stay! The property is so private, set back way off the road with trees all around. There's a substantial yard area where our kids could run around. Across the way from the deck, we could see cows out to pasture on a hillside. Property was both clean and well taken care of with newer and mid/upscale comfy furniture.
A couple things worth considering about this place is that it has a single enormous master bedroom that connects to a second deck with the hot tub. The only other way to access the hot tub is to walk outside and around the house. The other two bedrooms are pretty average, so it takes some diplomacy if you're sharing the place with other couples.
What a relaxing long weekend away with family - both young ones (1.5 & 4) and grandparents! The home is exactly as advertised - spacious enough for plenty of room to spread out and play on rainy days, and with a luxurious yard for adventures in the beautiful weather. Would also definitely be a great spot for several couples looking to get away together. The location is great - drivable to basic needs (grocery & restaurants), fun times (golf & a drive-in), and classic outings (hikes & hudson valley sights). And both the owners and property manager Rudy are readily available as needed and unobtrusive when not. Would definitely stay again!
