My family had a great time staying at the house. We enjoyed everything about it, including the neighborhood. It was quite enjoyable being about to go for relaxing walks at anytime of day, especially in the evening.
Lovely, clean, updated comfortable home in a convenient location in north shore. Really enjoyed spending time on the deck. Minor check in glitch which was readily rectified. Would absolutely return. Perfect for girls trip, family, couples.
Great location. Home is newly remodeled and very clean. Very relaxing atmosphere with beautiful well stocked kitchen. Having AC was wonderful. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!
Had a lovely, relaxing time staying at Jim’s property in Tahoe city with family and our dog. House was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is a cook’s dream! Would love to visit again.
This was a fantastic home for our family vacation. The location is fantastic and the home is very comfortable. Beds were great and the house is extremely well stocked! The sound system was great and the smart TVs were a definite plus! Would definitely rent again!!
The house was great even in fifteen feet of snow. Family had a great time and would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet, pleasant time near Lake Tahoe.
This is our second time staying here and it was perfect, again. The house has everything you need is a great combination of size, style, and location.
Best of all, Jim is fantastic and great to work with.

This was an absolutely beautiful house. Clean and contemporary, all the furnishings were absolutely top notch. We enjoyed cooking in the fabulous kitchen and the kids loved being able to stay in a room together where there was plenty of bed space for all of them. The house was close to town and we were able to get to Squaw Valley very quickly in the mornings. Jim was super easy to get a hold of and was a wonderful host. In short, it was perfect.

The location is great, and the house was comfortable. There's only a tiny sliver of blue visible through the trees, which is not what most people would consider a "lake view" like they advertise in the listing. The real issue came after checkout, when the host wrongly accused us of scratching a kitchen appliance and tried to bill us for 700. By chance, we had a photo that protected us by showing that the scratch was already there at the start of our stay. Unfortunately, this suggests either the host or their maintenance crew may not be acting in good faith, and other travelers may not be so lucky.

It is really disappointing to get a one-star review because someone does not want to take responsibility for damage they cause during there stay. We do not advertise this home with a Lake View. If you read our ad it says, “peek views of the shimmering lake.” The Wolf range had a minor scratch on it before this renter arrived. When they left it was heavily scratched. We are not in the business of taking peoples deposits. In fact, after 6 years this is the first time we have asked someone to pay for something that went wrong. I would encourage you to look at all of our five-star reviews to get a better idea of how we manage and what the property experience is.
We had an absolutely AMAZING time at this beautiful home! The picture of the home don't do it justice. It is gorgeous and has everything you could possibly need for a great trip and then some. The kitchen is a chef's dream and sitting out on the huge deck each night was quite wonderful. You can see the lake and the all the stars above. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The neighborhood is beautiful and the prefect location to get to everything on the lake and fabulous restaurants. Jim was an amazing host and was quick to respond to the few questions we had upon arrival. We definitely plan on staying here again!!

I really appreciate the nice note. The issues we talked about have been improved :-)
This is a beautiful, clean, modern house with very comfortable beds. The kitchen is spacious and functional with high end appliances. The outdoor BBQ is plumbed for natural gas, so no need to mess around with propane tanks or charcoal.
The location is super convenient for summer activities. It’s about a 25 minute walk down the hill to Skylandia state beach, and about a ten minute walk across the highway to the trailheads at Tahoe XC.
If you look at Google maps and see a pool and a closer beach, don’t get too excited, because those are not available to short term renters. Not to worry, it’s just slightly further to the state beach entrance and it’s basically the same beach. Skylandia is not as crowded as other Tahoe beaches which is nice. Parking is extremely limited though, so it’s convenient to be able to walk, although you will need another shower when you get back up the hill.
All in all, a super house.
This is a gorgeous property with upscale furnishings and a great kitchen with high-end appliances - great if you want to cook a meal. Pictures are very accurate. The location is perfect, we could walk down to Skylandia Park and Dollar Creek Trailhead and it is a very short 5 - 7 minute drive to Tahoe City. Neighborhood is very walkable (we had a dog with us) - even with the snow!
The "Dancing Bear" lodge was the perfect backdrop for our Thanksgiving (weeklong) get-away. The house had every amenity needed to enjoy a lazy week of cooking, hot-tubbing, and enjoying the nature and beauty of Tahoe.
Everything about the property was as advertised. The pictures are very representative of the quality of the interiors and the spaciousness of the house. As a group of four adults (+ dog), we were very comfortable, able to spread out, and find privacy when quiet time was needed. The kitchen was more than adequate for preparing an entire Thanksgiving meal, in addition to more casual nightly cooking - the top tier appliances and plenty of storage were great. I also really appreciated the separate bar area with wine 'fridge.
All the bedrooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, and quality bed linens. Bathrooms are great too - a huge shower in the primary bathroom.
Other things of note:
-Great hot tub experience
-Really appreciated being able to pull both cars into the two car garage
-The Sonos sound system was clutch
-Used the fireplace nightly during movie time
-Location is very central to both Tahoe City and King's Beach (and points in between)
Finally, Jim was easy to work with, and very communicative throughout the process. He addressed all my questions in a timely manner, and was accommodating with our request to arrive a bit earlier than the posted check-in time. He texted me throughout the week, to check in and ensure we were set up for success. Thanks Jim, for all the care you put into this property, and for being a thoughtful host.
We had a great week in Lake Tahoe. The house was awesome and we had plenty of room for two families. Home as described, good location. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We love Dollar Point /Tahoe City and all the fun summer & winter activities that the area has to offer and also take full advantage of the snow in the winter. We designed the cabin to have a higher end rustic/contemporary feel. The cabin is kid friendly and creates a nice indoor and out door living environment for beautiful outdoor summer days and warm indoor winter nights...
Why they chose this property
I think the pictures speak for themselves. We love the neighborhood and the area AIR CONDITIONING FOR SUMMER RENTALS :-)
