The row house was decorated nicely. Basic amenities were available. Laundry facilities were available downstairs. Downstairs couch was very comfortable to unwind after sightseeing. However, the bathroom shower curtain clung to anyone who was showering. If shower curtains aren't washed in between stays, this is disgusting. Also, the lot across the street is a magnet for drug activities. On any given night, there could be 4-30 people across the street congregating. They yelled and partied all night long, constantly waking us up. When we left for the White House, there were still people hallucinating on the lot from drugs at 7:00 am. Three of the eight nights we stayed here, police arrived. Five police cars came one night with one detective car as well. None in our party of four slept well except for one night when a heavy rain and wind storm hit and shut down activity.
We had a wonderful stay! The host was great—very responsive and easy to communicate with. The home itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The location was super convenient, with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The only downside was that parking could be a bit challenging, and each evening around 6pm a group of people would gather in the vacant lot next to the home. They seemed harmless, but the late-night noise and traffic were a bit disruptive.Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I truly appreciated the host’s hospitality and the comfort of the home.
We absolutely adored staying here! The house is thoughtfully designed with everything a family could need, including extra sheets, blankets and pillows; children's dishes; games and puzzles. We just adored it and our kids didn't want to leave.

Thanks for the lovely review, Brooke. We are so pleased you and your family adored your stay and your kiddos didn't want to leave! Please think of us when you next visit DC!
As described; lovely house, with all amenities, clear instructions, easy check in and out, and very helpful host. Lots of nice extras for our stay, and 7 minutes walk to Whole Foods. Would stay here again on a DC trip.
Charming three level apartment that was perfect for my family. My teenager had his own space in the basement as well as having space for all three of us to be together. The apartment is close to trolley stop to get to Union Station to the Metro for sight seeing. And when we were finished sightseeing, we came back to shops and delicious restaurants within short walking distance as advertised. Perfect for our small family!
Everything was as described. Right near H St but without all the hustle and bustle of being on the street. Would 100% stay at this property again next time I’m in DC
Nice, clean, and comfortable stay. The H street corridor is not too exciting but we did like the streetcar and Whole Foods. My only complaint was that for 4 people, it would have been nice to have a hand towel for the lower level bathroom and 4 washcloths - all we had were two black "make-up" washcloths. Communication was great and suggestions were very helpful. Coffee and tea was nice to have.
2 minute drive to main attractions and Whole Foods
Close to Capitol and all the main attractions. Great food options nearby (Copycat and Toki Underground) and Whole Foods is 2 minutes away on H street, free parking there. Stayed in January and parking wasn't an issue. We would absolutely stay here again.

Thanks for the great review, Deanna! Nearby H St. is lined with great food options and we're happy you discovered a couple of our favorites. We love Toki's ramen too! We're delighted to hear you would stay again. Please do!
We enjoyed our stay (5 nights). The house is kept very clean and well maintained and appears as advertised. The owner was very proactive and responsive before and during the stay. The house is only a few blocks from many restaurants, Whole Food and parking is easy.

The townhouse was very nice and accurately shown on the website. Beds were comfortable. I stayed in the smaller room and it was quiet for sleeping. Check in process was easy. All my questions before the trip were promptly & thoroughly answered. We enjoyed our stay.

About the host

I'm a California native who has called DC home for over two decades. And I love it! I've lived in SE Capitol Hill, Logan Circle in NW, and NE Capitol Hill. I'm missing DC's smallest quadrant, SW - but I'm sure I'll get there some day now that the new Waterfront is built and I've taken a shine to Stand Up Paddle boarding. When I'm not enjoying all DC has to offer, I'm pursuing my passion for traveling. I've been around the world but I'd have to say Bali is one of my favorite places I've visited. As an avid traveler, I understand the importance of a seamless and fluid stay. And that's what I hope you have here along with a commitment that you'll have everything you need to quickly settle-in and start exploring!
Why they chose this property
I was drawn to this property after moving from SE Capitol Hill to NW DC. I missed the Hill but wanted to give the NE side a go - the city had exciting plans for a street car and new development for the first half of the corridor and an arts district for the second half -and I wanted to be part of it. I haven't been disappointed. It's been fun to watch the area it take off.
What makes this property unique
I love that the house is sun-drenched and has a rare green space in the form of a backyard patio. Both are hard to come by in a city filled with historic row houses and new condos.
