This house was just as advertised. Super clean. Great location for kids to run, and walk the dog, in the park right across the street. Super close to a grocery store too. We stayed here and traveled to the Ark Encounter one day and the Creation Museum the next. It worked great for our family and I would happily recommend this home! Hostess was responsive and helpful.
Easily accessible to KHP and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. All of the rooms were nice and plenty of space for 5 people + a dog! Not much room for parking as a heads up for those with trucks.
Overall we had a great stay - all of the amenities we needed were available, great food options nearby, and only a few minutes from KHP. Online listing showed one room with a full and twin bunk bed, one queen, one full. We had one full, one queen, and a twin trundle. Not a big deal for our group, but might make a difference for others. Great stay!
Generally, we found the property to be clean and comfortable, as advertised. However, we found that a number of provisions were lacking, to include inadequate hand/bath soap. Liquid soap on site was seriously diluted with water such that we need to purchase our own soap; we found just 1 clothes hangar in the entire house; BBQ was not cleaned of old used charcoal; only 4 hand towels for bathroom and kitchen; extra pillows did not have pollow cases.
This was a perfect size and location for us for a horse show at the KHP. House was clean, beds comfortable, and location can't be beat. Seemed like a very safe, cute neighborhood, close to a grocery store and super easy to get back and forth to the horse park. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks a bunch!
We enjoyed staying at the rental
The grocery store and some restaurants were walkable and the nearby park was very cute. We had a bonfire and enjoyed the little backyard. The privacy fence helped to reduce the wind.
The kitchen was well enough stocked for cooking but could have used more dishwasher detergent. The washing machine and dryer worked well.
The beds in the loft room and single queen room were comfortable.
The bottom bed in the bunk bed room was lumpy. The downstairs beds were wrapped with plastic mattress protectors so they were very warm to sleep on.
The blinds in the front bedroom do not block all of the light because the sunburst window does not have a shade/blind, the street light is right outside. The water in the area has a strong smell and taste so we ended up buying jugs of water for drinking. This is not a criticism of the house, just a statement about the water in the area. It probably won't bother most people. It definitely would not detract me from staying here again, I just would plan to bring a few gallons of water with me instead of buying them from Kroger when we arrived.
The location was great, quick easy drive to the horse park, restaurants, the hospital was very close (thankfully we didn't need it), Starbucks, and more.
Myself and two of my friends attended a seminar at Spy Coast Farms in Lexington. This house was exactly what we needed! It’s clean, comfortable and close to we’re we wanted to go! We each had our own bedroom with plenty of comfy pillows! Very relaxing after long days in conferences and workshops!
The house is very nice and comfortable and clean. WiFi worked well. It’s a perfect location for the Kentucky Horse Park and visiting the surrounding area.
We were a little disappointed with the kitchen stocking. Minimal dishes, no casserole dish to cook with, no potato peeler, only one wine glass, etc. There was only 1 roll of paper towels and 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for a 7 night stay for 4 people. The tv was not available unless we used our Netflix or Hulu account (we did not have one) or the free channels - we honestly only looked twice for any free channels then gave up. Information about what we would need to bring would be nice. I’m a professional horse woman and take clients to house rentals for almost every horse show so I thought I knew what to expect. I was incorrect.
At the end of our stay we were charged an extra $90 for the thermostat we supposedly broke. When I disputed the charge there was no giving by the property manager - she said it was dropped so hard the screen was cracked - the thermostat was on the wall.
