Sea Glass was wonderful once again! We enjoyed our stay and the host was wonderful im addressing some minor issues that were resolved immediatly.I would highly recommend this house.
Homey beach house with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Beach access was steps away and no crowds! Our kids enjoyed the pools, basketball & tennis courts. Quick response & quick fix from owner/host when issue with air conditioner cause by storm. Thank you!
Our group really enjoyed our stay! The house is the perfect size for a large group and the location can’t be beat! The host was very responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.
Wonderful week on Fripp Island in the Seaglass house! We've been to Fripp many times for family vacations and this house was absolutely perfect for our family! Plenty of space and beds, outdoor area with fire pit and dock were great features of this home as well as convenient mid island location!
House had everything needed for the week. House was clean and well organized. We really enjoyed the Carolina room most. We enjoyed coffee there in the mornings and watched the deer and birds at the feeder. The bird book was great for identifying the variety of birds that came to eat. Walk to beach and club house was a real bonus. Thank you for sharing you house.
Our family of 15 vacationed here this week and it was absolutely awesome. The house has everything needed for preparing meals, 2 refrigerator/freezers. The sunroom was great for the early risers to watch the deer in the back yard each morning. Plenty of room for a big group. The only thing that was a little confusing at first was that the site states two twin beds in the king room downstairs but it is one twin with a trundle. Management was very quick to respond to any question. We had a wonderful week and one definitely love to stay here again.
Unbelievable property and location on Fripp Island. The pictures do not do it justice and the owners are amazing with communication. We will book again.
The house was very accommodating. We enjoyed the dock and being able to enjoy the beautiful view. The glassed in porch was nice. Very close to the beach within walking distance but we enjoyed the golf cart. The golf cart was fun to ride around and see the deer in the evening.
Our family enjoyed our visit so much we have rebooked this property for my granddaughter’s fall break in October. We loved fishing and crabbing on the new dock. We also loved going to the beach across the street. We rented a golf cart and enjoyed riding around the island, and going to the smaller beach at the end of the road. We spent most of the time at the house in the Carolina room. The girls loved the swing and we were amazed with the deer that came every day to eat from our hand. .We always had quick response with our host with any questions or needs.
The only rental we've found on Fripp that we can't wait to return to again! Perfect for our family! Great location. Private. And the Carolina room was the perfect gathering place for our family. The TV wasn't on a single time the entire week! The only critique was that 2 of the showers were EXTREMELY tiny.
Great place to enjoy family time!

Great house for our group!
The layout of the house was great for our group of three families of 5 adults and 5 children under the age of 10. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dishes! Unfortunately, we could not use the beautiful gas grill because the inside was caked with grease. Fantastic proximity to the beach! It's just a very short walk across the street. House was located very close to other Fripp amenities like pools, restaurants, playground, etc.

Comments on overall stay.
If you’re looking for a very affordable stay this is it. Nothing fancy about the property except the renovated shower. Issues with the property: -states wash and dry is included but the washer door/lip was rusted off and not operating. -outdoor patio fridge was dirty and stained -bath towels that are included we dirty and stained with black and blue marks-they never collected the trash -hot water last maybe 5 minutes so showers must be super quick -propane for the grill was completely empty; had to buy a full tank for one night just to leave for the next group. Positives:- very close to the beach access - overall secluded from main road
We had a great time on our family vacation. The house is clean and well taken care of. The older kids loved fishing off the dock on the canal and the property is off the main road enough to feel so secluded and not have to worry about the kids getting out into the road on accident. Initially, we booked the property because a golf cart was included on the listing, however after durther clarification the golf cart was damaged by previous renters and was no longer available for guests (the listing was corrected after it was beought to their attention) nonetheless, we were able to rent a golf cart and had an amazing time. My family has been coming to Fripp since atleast the 70s and we thoroughly enjoyed the house this week. Especially the Carolina room! 10/10 would recommend.
A group of us (60-somethings) have been spending our MLK weekends together down at the beach...Edisto, Fripp, Tybee...and we all came to the conclusion that this was the nicest stay we have had thanks to a really nice spacious, well appointed and taken care of property. A really cool location, with a canal right behind us for easy access to fishing, and the beach within easy walking distance (two golf carts for a quick dash over for a sunset picture). The rooms were very nice, bathrooms in good condition and well placed for 8 of us, really nicely appointed kitchen with a normal drip coffee maker and a Keurig with a bunch of complimentary K-cups..lots of dishes and cutlery for cooking and eating needs. A really neat porch area that we spent a bunch of time on, as well as the living room, with lots of seating. The owners are wonderful people that answered all of our questions very quickly. This is a great place, and I would highly recommend it for a great beach experience!
Beautiful house in great location on Fripp Island; the center of everything Fripp has to offer.
There are so many positives at this house and very few negatives so I will mention my only real complaint; cleanliness of the home. Not the fault of the owners at all, rather the cleaning staff failed to adequately clean the home before our check in time and when I reached out to the owner, she immediately responded and had the cleaning staff return to complete the basics they had not done. After that, all was great!! The house has plenty of room for everyone, the beds are comfortable, the location is awesome, the kitchen is well stocked with good pots/pans/knives and appliances, the additional fridge on the sunroom was great for drinks, etc.
My husband, daughter and nephew all enjoyed the crabbing dock every single day while my other daughter and nephew and I enjoyed the beach and the pools everyday! My mother-in-law enjoyed relaxing and reading in the sunroom most of all. We spent most of our time while in the house in the sunroom. Such a great space and all the beautiful deer and birds are amazing to watch and they are so friendly they come right up to you! We got several great pics!
Overall great vacation in a great house. I would prefer to have had the amenity cards and the golf cart included but nonetheless it was all well worth it!!
House is great and a FANTASTIC location!!!! “Resort” on Island was disappointing
The house was just as described and accommodated our group of 11 very well. I was worried it would feel very small with 7 kids ages 11-18 but it gelt very open and spacious with the vaulted ceilings and back porch. The location in the center of the island was ideal with beach access right across the street. We purchased resort passes to be able to use the shops, restaurants and pools. While I realize this is not the fault of the VRBO owners, I feel I need to warn others to do your research before blindly buying amenity cards. We were quite disappointed with the resort. Only one restaurant opened after 5:30pm. The food court and main shop is closed. It’s early April and weather fluctuates. There are two heated pools on the island, one of which is adult only. The other pool was closed for a wedding 2 out of 4 days we were staying on the island. We had a college visit another day, so, essentially ended up paying $350 to use the pool for only one day. Also disappointed the resort does not have a single hot tub on the island. Again, not the fault of the VRBO owners but advise doing your own research on resort, especially families with kids. There’s only so much together-time my kids can tolerate at the house and beach before they get restless and need to get out somewhere. The island is beautiful and VRBO is ideal location. My only VRBO critique would be that the downstairs bathroom showers could use some work to really make the house 5-stars.
The home was charming and clean and had everything we needed. The setting was like a treehouse with all of the wildlife we spotted from the Carolina room. So many deer and birds and even a small gator down by the dock. It’s a peaceful spot and we hope to return!
We had a great time at this property. Room for 3 families with kids of all ages. Plenty of space, clean and private. Convenient location on the island. Golf cart very convenient. Great communication from owner. Would definitely recommend!
Sea glass was wonderful. Plenty of room for our family of nine. Fully equipped. Everything we needed was there. We really enjoyed watching all the deer. The two downstairs bathrooms could use a little upgrading, but they were fully functional as is. You would not go wrong with this house.

Our family of four (all school teachers and two football coaches in Camden, Summerville, and Mount Pleasant) vacationed at Fripp for the first time in the summer of 2019. After one week at Fripp, we knew this was the place we wanted to bring our extended family to for vacations. We looked at several homes but think Sea Glass is the perfect beach home. We love the seclusion and privacy of our home but we are close to everything! We love catching crabs off our dock, making s'mores and telling stories around the fire pit, and watching the friendly deer and birds from our beautiful four seasons porch. Sea Glass is big enough for large extended families to gather and also have quiet privacy in the four large bedrooms. Since buying Sea Glass we have begun several renovations because we want this to be our vacation home for generations to come!
Why they chose this property
Sea Glass is not your cookie cutter beach house. In fact, it may be the only Victorian looking house on the island - but we like it like that! If you want a quiet place where you can "unplug" from the craziness of daily life and enjoy the beauty of nature and explore the tidal marshes Sea Glass is for you! If you enjoy tennis, pickleball or swimming in the pools or beach-you are walking distance away. Our home offers space to bring large families together and opportunities for everyone to enjoy what they like best about Fripp. Parking is never a problem with our large driveway and yard.
What makes this property unique
My favorite room in Sea Glass is the huge four seasons porch. It's the first place I go when I wake up every morning and the place I spend hours in before bedtime. Watching toddlers squeal "deer, deer, deer!" as the sun comes up and deer casually stop by for a visit is such a joy! Ending the day with a beautiful sunset and a fireside chat around the fire pit with s'mores and family and friends is what vacation is all about! In between sunrise and sunset is whatever your heart desires - fishing, golfing, walking, sandcastles, books, and naps. We hope you will enjoy the serenity of Sea Glass and Fripp as much as we do! :)
