The condo is a short drive from the Alpine Base of Palisades Tahoe ski area. However, we left our car parked and used the Mountaineer shuttle service to take us to the slopes. The kitchen was well-equipped except for the missing colander. Doesn't everyone make pasta at their ski condo? TV has a Roku box, which was very handy.

Property location is nice. It’s right on the river. Nice view. The outside patio furniture could definitely use some cleaning also bottom rooms carpet should be least well vacuum.
Great location. Good amenities. Really good unit for 2-3 families with kids to share. Some items in the unit could be upgraded: dresser drawer broken, kitchen items could use updating. Certainly good enough for return visits as this was our third or fourth visit to this unit in the past 5-ish years.

Great location
The location of the unit is excellent, a quick drive to Alpine and Palisades. The unit was perfect for 5, three bedrooms and three full baths so everyone had their own space. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, plates, silverware etc. The only downside to the stay was the bedding and towels being outdated and a little grimy…we had to run everything through the laundry to feel comfortable. Would suggest the owners replace all of the sheets, comforters, and towels for future renters.

Hi Mark,
Glad to hear you enjoyed the condo and very sorry to hear about the conditions of the bedding. Everything is laundered by a professionally managed company off property between reservations. I will certainly recommend to the owner to replace the comforters though. Thank you for the feedback.

Very disappointing
On the plus side, built in the '70's and very solid and a good layout with bedrooms down and living and kitchen up. Negatives include location too close to the highway for noise, closet so stuffed with things could barely use it, ripped screen on door in bedroom, couldn't open window in the living area, and worst of all, the place just felt dirty. The place needs a deep clean, or a complete makover.
The house was clean and well stocked. The deck was our favorite place for an evening endcap and we walked to the river each day. Would
Stay again.

Great Location
Reasonably well supplied and overall we had a good time. As a family of seven people, however, it was not easy to gather in the living area - not enough comfortable seating (the listing states 6-8 people for this unit). Only six chairs at the dining table; a seventh one was added after I mentioned this but the chair added was a white plastic outdoor chair that had not even been wiped clean. Hot water for showers was limited. The remote for the large blind in the living area did not work. The flapper valve in the second floor bathroom often got stuck. We found a couple of large black ants in the bathroom for bedroom B. We broke one glass. Use of the hot tub was not well explained. Initially there was no key to access it and when we tried to use it the water was not hot. Could not figure out who to contact to report this.
Jenny, at the property manager's office, was very helpful, very cheerful, each time we called.
Given what we paid, the fact that the rugs were stained, the couches in the living room were old and somewhat broken plus the comments made above, this was a bit of a disappointment.
Super close to Alpine Meadows and Palisades/Squaw. Perfect location to go skiing!

Wonderful condo near Alpine
Wonderful condo near Alpine. Very spacious, lots of beds. Well appointed. The Mountaineer shuttle picks you up right outside the front door and takes you to Alpine. Very convenient and efficient.
The downstairs toilet leaked and TVR did not respond after a day, and was not able to fix the problem. They offered only a minimal discount even though one of the 3 bathrooms was not usable during our stay.
Hot water ran out after one 5 min shower.
Sewage smell in unit when lower shower was used.
Unit is a Tahoe time warp to 1985, but very comfortable and clean. Loved that the owners provided fire wood. Very cozy during a snow storm.
Kitchen is well stocked except for the lack of lids for pots and pans.
We had an enjoyable stay at the property. Very good location with view of the stream. Kitchen needs an upgrade including cooking utensils. House has a weird musty smell. Other than that, the stay was comfortable. Communication with property manager was good.
Location, location, location.... Really can't beat it. Tahoe City and Truckee river right at your fingertips. Only a 5 min bike or car ride to lake and rafting right outside your door. Great for families with young children. Nice pool, very quiet, and we'll equipped condo.
Great location and layout for family members of different ages. Super convenient to both Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, etc.
Only negative (which rally should be resolved) was that one of the queen beds is AWFUL! Sagging, loud, and a giant dip on one side. Probably original from when this place was built! Unable to sleep on it, so do beware if you're 3 couples looking at this place (because someone is going to get a very short straw!)
