The pictures of this home don’t do it justice! It is beautiful, cozy and was immaculate. We had two families staying for a ski vacation and we loved it. The Christmas trees and decorations really made it feel like home and very festive.
The house was much bigger than it looked in the pictures and had plenty of space to spread out in. In fact my family of five didn’t even use the two bedrooms upstairs except to play hide and seek in. The owners were kind, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Our family enjoyed our stay here immensely and would love to be able to come again one day.

Well-maintained, well stocked, organized for families.
This home is perfect for an extended family. we enjoyed cooking and spending time at the home playing games or watching TV. Everyone had their own private space. The common space is large enough for everyone together and feel comfortable. The house was well labeled to make using, super easy. Love love love this property! The house reflexes the love the family has for it. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed the stay but not used to staying at older properties that have drawers filled with stuff accumulated over years. Master bed was too hard to sleep on, they had to move to room over family room.
Unfortunately our stay was shortened by 2 days due to flooding in the area that made it impossible to access the house. Our host immediately contacted us about the problem, gave us the option to cancel or wait and arrive later. She was in constant contact with updates and offered to refund for our missed days.
The location was perfect for activities we planned, however we needed to modify some due to the weather.
The house is very large, roomy and comfortable but can use an update. It did have a musty smell.
When we arrived at Russo’s house in South Londonderry,
we were amazed by how spacious and comfortable the house was. It was immaculate and well-equipped, high above our expectations, addressing everything we ever needed, from kitchen equipment and silverware, backyard games, full-blown bar, bicycle, and even small stuff such as bug spray and flashlights. The Location is excellent. The house is surrounded by beautiful and well-preserved nature, with anything you need within a 10 mins drive distance. We came with our 3 kids and my husband’s parents, and it seemed everyone had their own places of peace and quiet + family spaces.
David, the owner, was so welcoming, responsive, and helpful. He shared a lot of valuable recommendations and answered any email within a fraction of the time.
We had a great time thanks to the beautiful house and one-of-a-kind owner.
We cannot say enough what a wonderful stay this was. It was like walking into a Hallmark movie set. Their entry way is a hallmark movie set to me. CLEAN, SPACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL This is one of the best rentals I have ever stayed in. If you forgot vegetable oil. Don't fret, they have it! Minus your basic food needs of course, their kitchen IS equipped with everything! From skillets to plastic baggies.
When I originally booked I was able to speak to the owner about what I was looking for and their home was the perfect fit. IT WAS So PERFECT. The owners are very kind & generous and available for any questions.
If you are going to stay in Southern Vermont with your family. STAY HERE. You will not be disappointed. As a family we sat every evening to work on their 1000 piece puzzle in their family room. We finished it today before we left.
We thank the Russo family for hosing our whole family and dearest friends for one of our most memorable trips. You will be in awe at their kindness ans home. You will not be disappointed and you will not want to leave as we did not. We wish we could have stayed a lot longer.
It was a great house for our family for a long ski weekend. The owners had the house decorated for the holidays and it's a nice neighborhood for daily walks and convenient to town and the nearby ski mountains.
This was the perfect house for us. It's in a beautiful, quiet setting but not isolated. The house is cozy; there are places where everyone can be together and other places to be by yourself. Our bi-state family (and our two dogs) agreed that this was one of the happiest times we'd spent together. We enjoyed home-cooked meals together, taking advantage of the fully stocked kitchen. We even baked pies and cookies for Santa. We brought most of the ingredients ourselves but were happy to find vanilla extract, which we had forgotten. We hope to return and make more happy memories.
My family and I stayed at Gloria and Dave's house for Columbus Day weekend, and we had a great time! Huge house, plenty of space, very clean, conveniently located to a bunch of hikes and biking trails. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a long weekend escape.
A very comfortable, spacious house for our two families. And our dogs! This was during the time of Covid so we ate all our meals at the house, mostly in the screened in porch which we loved. As a frequent VRBO user, I always appreciate a well stocked kitchen. This one definitely was and the owners were very generous in providing that renters could feel free to use whatever they needed from the pantry. Dave and GLoria were very easy to deal with and prompt in their communications.
Southern Vermont is one of our favorite places and late August was a beautiful time to be there - cool mornings and evenings, lots of hiking, and warm enough during the day to swim in the Peru pond. A great week - thanks so much Dave & Gloria!
My friends and I were looking for a place to meet up to escape our Boston and New York City apartments during quarantine, and this house was perfect. It was large enough for us all to work from different rooms on Friday, with a great garage and yard to play games in over the weekend. It isn't as secluded as I expected, but the neighbors didn't seem to mind us playing music or being out on the front porch after dark. The neighborhood is nice to walk or bike around, but we barely felt the need to leave the house. Dave was always available via text for questions, and even let us stay a bit later than the check out time on Sunday. We would definitely come back!
The Russo's were great - we had a wonderful time with two families and kids under 10. Loved that they had bikes and activities in the garage. The loft turned into the kids play room and they loved having their own space.
My family really enjoyed our stay in Londonderry! The house was just as described in the pictures and the grounds surrounding the property are beautiful. Plenty of room for my family of six, including four large young men. The Russo family was so accommodating and pleasant to communicate with! They offered many suggestions for outside activities and even had a list of restaurants in the area and their status during quarantine. Due to so many restaurants being closed we made all our meals at home, and having a grill, brand new crock pot and having a nice deck and covered porch to sit on we really didn't miss going out. The town of Londonderry is very small, with a medium sized grocery store (with prices that shocked this Michigander) but we had fun exploring the lush Vermont countryside! Was the perfect state to quarantine in, people were very friendly! My family enjoyed beautiful hikes and mountain biking and we loved visiting Woodstock and Manchester. This was out first visit to Southern Vermont, we ususally go to the northern areas, but we hope to return and would not hesitate to stay at the Russo house again. Thanks so much!
We had a wonderful time at your wonderful home. So many spaces to spend time together (or apart). I was there with my adult children and 2 month old granddaughter. There were pingpong tourneys, an Iron Chef tourney and lawn games out front. (Kids say you need 5 bags per side for the new cornhole set for proper scoring - lol). Owners flexibility for arrival and departure made it stress -free scheduling around an infant. Everyone wants to come back next year and this large house can accommodate any new additions to the family that may occur over the year. Thanks for a wonderful home for us to have our "staycation"!
Nice location for hiking and swimming, and then evenings of badminton. It was a family vacation that three generations enjoyed.

Great family New Years weekend!!!!
We stayed there for our annual New Years ski vacation. Our group of 10 plus 2 dogs had a great stay! This beautiful house was comfortable, clean, had plenty of room with a well stocked kitchen, we made dinner every night!! There is a loft upstairs where 4 kids were sleeping and they loved it cause they had their little own space. The open space living room has a fireplace and plenty of books and games to play. There is a ping pong table and sleds in the garage which we used every day. The location can't be beat ... 15 minutes away from the Stratton and 20 minutes to Okemo. Highly recommended because the owners Gloria and David are extremely friendly and easy to deal with, they provided all the information you could ever need like their favorite restaurants or shopping places. We went to Vermont Country Store and it was lovely. We plan on coming again next year!

Nice
This is a great place for a group of college students, with plenty of room for 12 people. I gave it a rating of three, because it needs to be upgraded and cleaned if it is to get a 5 from mature adults who like an environment which is kept up to a higher standard at the price off season.

Very cozy
The home is comfortable and inviting. We are a family of 4 and we stayed for 4 nights and found the home and surrounding area to be welcoming and relaxing. Within a 20 minute drive you can find historical places to visit, and many beautiful walking trails and bodies of water for kayaking or nature watching.
