Wonderful large home. This is our second stay at this property and it’s a lovely place. Well equipped kitchen. Beautiful yard and great location close to town.

Denise,
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the AC in the master.
Hope you will stay with us again.

Spacious, comfortable and great layout for a large group. My husband, our four adult kids and I stayed for three nights for a wedding in Manchester, and were so comfortable, loved the open layout and sunlight streaming through the many windows. The master king bed is very comfortable.
This is our third or forth year staying at this house. We enjoy it every year. The location is close to town and the restaurants and the horse show that we come for.
Great location and plenty of space in and outside the home
Our group had a great time in Manchester for NYE. Lots of space inside the home with plenty of parking. The house is also away from the main road so it felt nice and secluded.
Great house. 5 minute drive to anything in Manchester. Not a long drive to Bromley/Stratton. Very comfortable beds. Would 100% rent again.

Disliked: Check-in, communication
This was one of the worst rental experiences we’ve had.The house itself is spacious and has enough beds for a large group, but unfortunately, that is the only positive thing we can say. From the start, communication with the host was bad. We were told that check-in instructions had been sent when they had not, which created confusion. After our stay, when the host began accusing us of damages, communication deteriorated even further, sometimes, responses took days, and messages were often very unclear and extremely difficult to understand. We were then charged 400 USD for alleged damages without our consent. We did not cause any damage to this property. It strongly feels like the host attempted to pass off multiple pre-existing issues as our responsibility, seemingly assuming that a group of “young guests” would simply accept the charges. This assumption was completely incorrect-we are all responsible adults and we treat the places we rent with care and respect. The parking situation only added to the frustration. The driveway was icy, poorly maintained, and very difficult to navigate safely.Overall, we feel taken advantage of. Between the misleading communication, the confusing and delayed responses, the false assumptions, and the unjustified charges, this experience was extremely frustrating. We would strongly advise future guests to be very cautious before booking this property.Because of this experience, we will not rent there again from him or VRBO.

I disagree with the comment that they treat the place with care and respect. When we walked into the house there was rice all over the floor in the mudroom, kitchen and the dining room. We found egg shells in the living room and outside on the deck. The stove top took over an hour to clean. The driveway is always plowed after a snow fall and sanded if it is icy. The driveway may have been a bit narrow after all the snow we had this winter.
There was damage done to a shade in a bedroom, a screen door and the TV remote was missing.
This house had plenty of room and a great lay out for the number of people it held. It was in a nice quiet area but still close to town. We were in town for the Vermont Summer Festival Horse show and it was nice to be close to the horse show and all the restaurants.

Good house for a large group
John’s house was large, had plenty of bedrooms, a large living room and great location. Some downsides were the old curtains that were hard to open and a lack of supplies such as a kitchen sponge, hand soap, dish soap and serving bowls.
We stayed for MLK weekend. The house is very clean and spacious and easily accommodated 10 adults. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare food and serve for 10 people or more. My only request is that the host provide more paper towels and toilet tissue - definitely not enough for our size group for a long weekend.
We really enjoyed the stay on this property. It was only about 15 minutes to Bromley and 30 to Stratton. The house was clean and there was a wonderful view of the mountains. Manchester Center was about 10 minutes by car. A big yard allows for the dog and kids to run around and play in the snow. We had a good size storm while there and the driveway was plowed before we had to go anywhere in the morning. Also a wonderful feature of the house is a two car garage that allowed us to keep the vehicle out of the snow. Two small drawbacks - WiFi very slow (although that may be Vermont), and the master bedroom gets very warm no matter the setting of the thermostat due to location of the room. Overall we really enjoyed and would stay there again should we head back!

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at our house. The WiFi is slow due to our location. The master bedroom heat can be controlled by the downstairs thermostat. Thanks again.
I was extremely impressed with this home. It was very neat, clean and very very spacious. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with anything you might need for cooking and preparing meals. Anyway such a nice notebook of all the details anyone might need about the home and the area. Although I knew it was described as a large home It was even larger than I anticipated. We chose that home because we were attending my niece's wedding and it was our side of the family that live in the DC area. It was a range of ages for myself being 71 and the grandmother, My four adult sons, One college age granddaughter and two young grandchildren ages five and seven along with two of my son's wives We had nine people all together. It was perfect for a three generational family. It was also so nice and close to the wedding rehearsal dinner wedding breakfast which was at the Taconic hotel in the Manchester center. We got to every event in less than 10 minutes from that house.
And the owner was very very nice on top of everything else. We definitely plan to rent that home again for a winter excursion at some point this coming winter. I hope that same home will be available.

I am so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay at our home. I am happy that the house worked out for you not only the location but you were able to have everyone stay at one location.
Thank you
House was very comfortable and everything was labeled.
Could use some updating/painting but location was great and they allowed 2 dogs which is not common
We were here for two weeks of the Vermont summer festival. This house was perfect for our revolving group…lots of space for everyone, and the kitchen enabled us to cook quite a bit. A bit of a hiccup with check-in due to logistics issues with front door replacement, but #supplychainissues, and the housekeeper got there as quickly as she could. We appreciated how well labeled the house was, and the huge yard made the canine portion of our party very happy.
We were in Manchester with our adult kids and baby grandchildren for a wedding at Bournebrook Farm. The house is sunny, open and bright - cheerful! - and we all very much enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for lounging, sleeping, and eating. The huge grassy yard was great for the toddlers to run in. Evenings were cool, but we did have a few hot afternoons, and were grateful for the efficient air conditioning!
