A restful getaway floating in the pool with a good book, or….Location, Location, Location. 24 min to the beaches. 90 min to theme parks in Orlando. 17 min to Downtown Melbourne. 24 min to the Brevard Zoo and 50 min to The Kennedy Space Center. Perfect Hideaway

We were very happy with all aspects of our stay at The Sanctuary. The host was great and made sure our needs were met throughout our stay. Clean and hospitable, close to everything but still out of of the way.

Perfect Florida Getaway!!

Wonderful and Excellent Property

Susan was amazing, the attention to details in the home made so many things so much easier, very clean, organized and just plain wonderful, it is in the neighborhood were my Grandchildren are which was the purpose of our visit, just a excellent property with a great host/ owner, couldnt ask for anything more, Thank You Susan for letting us stay in your wonderful Home, we loved it

The amazing sanctuary

What is there to say that hasn’t been said. Susan is an amazing host and has an amazing house. The pool is amazing and worth the stay itself. She has about anything you would need for your stay and she is such a nice lady! We look foward to staying again

The Home lived up to the name, The Sanctuary!

We wanted a clean, comfortable, quiet ‘home away from home’ to stay in while our daughter recovered from surgery. Inside, the home was very well equipped, cozy and felt like ‘home’. Outside, the lanai, pool and lights were magical. Susan was the perfect host and went above and beyond communicating with us and provided everything to make our stay carefree, comfortable and tailored to our individual needs. Lovely time; lovely memories!

Family vacation/reunited

We were in Palm Bay to visit family. My brother had recently retired from the Air Force and choose Palm Bay for his home base. The Sanctuary was able to accommodate me and my daughters, my sister, niece and mother. We enjoyed the pool and there are so many accommodations inside the Sanctuary that make you feel like you are right at home! We would definitely go back! Thanks Sue!

Florida Family Vacation.

Susan was amazing. We had everything that we needed. She even had a first aid kit. We had a problem with one of the blow up mattresses and she got us a new one with hours of telling her. I would highly recommend staying at her place.

All you need

What an awesome place to stay and Susan was so sweet she even took time to leave treats for my grandkids!! The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you need I mean everything!!! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay! If you need anything she is just a text away even willing to bring jumper cables for our rental that broke down :( Shes great! The Sanctuary!

The Sanctuary was everything we wanted for our vacation plus much more! The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything you would possibly need, from pool toys, board games, cards, and books to first aid supplies. The pool was the highlight of our stay, although the house was exceptional as well. We met our host, Susan, who is a delightful lady. She chatted with us for a while and even offered some of her personal reading materials for us to enjoy. She graciously allowed us to bring our two large dogs with us while staying at her home. The fenced yard was great for them! The special touches she provided made us really feel welcomed in her home. We can't wait to return and I would highly recommend staying at Susan's Sanctuary!

Beautiful Home away from home

This is a roomy beautiful home with a screened in pool - keeps out the bugs! Susan is very helpful but not intrusive at all. Everything you could want or need is in the house. It is in a quiet neighborhood. All the best beaches are in this area. About an hour or so from Universal. It is close to MANY restaurants and stores. Great place. Note: if you like air conditioning that is cold - like below 76 then this isn’t for you. It was plenty cool for most of us but my husband runs hot all the time so it was a little warm for him.

An actual sanctuary!

This place was beyond expectations and was only a 25 min drive to the beach. Even though we drove 9 hours to get to the property we stayed 90 percent of the time inside the house and by the pool! The pool was the best part and very clean ! The only complaint I have is I over pack anyways but this amazing woman had EVERYTHING from high chairs to play pins to food in the cabs! I mean I would recommend packing only clothes and a few towels because this property has it all! At first I was a little skeptic about her being right behind the fence of the property but she let us enjoy our vacation as we pleased with music and all and didn’t bother us one time !

Beautiful home, very comfortable

We arrived right after the hurricane. There was a lot of concerns about the conditions of the property. Communication with the owner was top notch. We could not have asked for more or more accurate information. We arrived late in the evening and there was drinks in the fridge for us as well as distilled water for our sleep machines. During our stay it was very nice and quiet. Location could not be any better. Close to shopping and restaurants. Was able to do everything on our list without issues. Even the neighborhood was great and friendly. All expectations were laid out and easy to follow. Bed was very comfortable and there was everything needed to prepare meals and clean up afterwords. We have only used VRBO once before and this was way above our previous experience.

A Delightful Family Vacation at The Sanctuary in Palm Bay, Florida

Our family vacation at The Sanctuary in Palm Bay, Florida, was an unforgettable experience! This charming home provided the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning pool area, where we all spent hours swimming, playing, and lounging by the poolside enjoying the Florida sun. The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with every room thoughtfully designed for comfort. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare and enjoy meals together, and the comfortable bedrooms ensured a restful night's sleep after our fun-filled days. Despite the host being in the hospital, communication was seamless, and we felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Her dedication to ensuring a positive experience was evident and greatly appreciated. The only minor issue we encountered was a non-working ceiling fan, but the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping us cool and comfortable. The location in Palm Bay was ideal, with beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and plenty of family-friendly activities nearby. It was the perfect base for exploring all the area has to offer. Overall, our stay at The Sanctuary exceeded our expectations. We left with cherished memories and a desire to return in the future. Nice Get Away Location

The Sanctuary is a very nice home away from home. The pool was very popular with the younger members of our family. Susan, the host, is very accessible and accommodating. The only reason that I gave a 4 star for online accuracy, is that Susan lives adjacent to the property, and part of the space is shared, although occupants of The Sanctuary will not see or hear Susan. Susan is a very good host, and does her best to make sure that all who stay at The Sanctuary have a great vacation. I would recommend booking The Sanctuary for your next vacation in Florida.

Great get away

This home is great for large families with kids. It accommodated up to 8 of my family members , ages12-65 very comfortably. Large modern kitchen was well stocked and a pleasure to cook in. Very open living, dining, lanai areas were connected and spacious. The private fenced backyard with screened in heated pool was great entertainment for the kids with lots of pool toys. Closeness to the beach and shopping and Andretti Park were big pluses. Host is on site and very gracious and helpful with any requests or problems. Had a great time!

Perfect home away from home

Our time here was fantastic - the house is so comfortable & clean with everything you could possibly need. The description does not do it justice. We travelled here from the UK for our first overseas trip since before the pandemic & were not disappointed. Susan is one of the friendliest & most attentive hosts we have had (we've been using VRBO for 20 years) & we were made to feel very welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful

The house was beautiful and exactly the way it was supposed to be. We had everything we needed for our family vacation like we were at home instead of away. The pool was amazing and all the toys and floats the kids could ever want to play with. Great location close to the beach and the parks in Orlando without being right in the middle of all the tourist traffic. My family and I loved this house and if in this area again would definitely stay again!

Wonderful stay

I wasn't able to go, but here's what my brother had to say: From even before we arrived, our host, Susan, was in touch and made sure we had access to get in as we arrived after flying overnight. This was a huge bonus, as we were very tired and didn't want to sit around waiting for check-in. Once we were there, everything we could possibly expect was exceeded in the conditions, cleanliness and the overall setting in this beautiful house. Cupboards stocked, all amenities available and organized. It was truly unbelievable and felt like we actually had a home in this beautiful area. 20 minutes from beaches, Melbourne center and all the shopping you could want. Plus many restaurants for all tastes. The layout of the sanctuary is unbelievable, the pool area is gorgeous and in fact, lawn was cut and pool cleaned while we were there. Truly the greatest part was the meticulous nature of how Susan hosts. Guidelines and considerations to make our trip smooth and eventful were abound with notes and an amazing binder for reference to all things Palm Bay and the surrounding area. This trip truly was plug and play paradise, greatly made possible by our gracious hostess. Would not hesitate to return, our only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay. The Sanctuary is a place you never want to leave.

I am a retired older young person. My home is my favorite place in the world. Offering it to travelers so that they can have the same experience on their holiday that I have every day is a gift to myself. I just love sharing my beautiful home with my guests and am always available by text message or phone call. If you need anything at all or have any questions I will be available to you 24 / 7. If it is total privacy you want you got it. For 7 years I lived on the property in my "condo on wheels", my RV. After breaking my back 4Xs this last year I had to sound proof and remodel my garage area into a mothers-in- law suite. That is where I live now. Let me assure you, WE HAVE NO SHARED SPACE. The goal is to get back into the RV. Most of my guest want to meet me to put a face with a text voice. Let me know if it is important to you that I meet you face to face. I like to meet my guests but will never invade your privacy.

Why they chose this property

What I love best about my Sanctuary is how open the floor plan is. If you are traveling with a large family everyone can find a private place or be in the middle of everything no matter what room you are in. Everyone is just crazy about the pool. It has a wading pool with fountain for the toddlers and even a lap lane for the swimmers. My guests just love playing water volleyball. The biggest problem I have is getting them to leave the pool area when I can see lightning on the horizon. The neighborhood is lovely and perfect for a jog or walk. We are located next to two parks. Dog walks are a favorite pass time. We even have a dog friendly beach and a dog play area for socialized dogs to play. It is an established neighborhood with new houses being built and added every day.

What makes this property unique

You don't need to pack towels, both bath and beach. Also, don't weigh your bag down with shampoo, rinse, and body wash. I will be sure there is plenty of those things for you. I try my best to be sure there are age appropriate pool toys and floats as well as sun block, beach chairs, and even a beach canopy you can take with you to the beach. I think my Sanctuary is just Beautiful. Everyone says that it is even nicer that the pictures. I am always making changes and upgrading so the site has new pictures every time I change something.
You can come visit with a group of people or your large family and if one person wants to spend the holiday trying out new recipes, they will love the well appointed kitchen. If someone else want to be down in the quite conversation pit with a good book, there is a place for that. I believe my Sanctuary meets everyone's needs and wants.
