Quite and compact unit overlooking the Duoro. A little tricky to find but a pleasant location away from crowds. Modern and clean in an older area along the river.

We really enjoyed the serenity of this location right on the Douro River. Once we were shown an easier place to park, we found it more accessible. There is a good grocery store about 15 minutes away, and the freeways are easy to get to from there also. The suite was clean and modern and well appointed. There was good communication.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely house right above the Duoro river. Immaculate condition, bright, modern, and well-maintained. It had everything we needed for our week-long get-away from the big city madness. Perfect locaton to explore Duoro Valley, Porto, Aveiro, Braga, and Geres. Our host, Mr. Manuel P. was the most gracious, excellent communicator, and even helped us with the luggage upon arrival and departure! If you are looking for peaceful stay in a beautiful and tranquil location we highly recommend "House on the Duoro". We found it on Expedia.com, but its also listed on VRBO website. Happy travels!

I love my staying. It is a little far from Porto but there is peace and the sound of nature. Property is very clean. I suggest to parc in the port. You can go near property, I did it once but I don’t recommend. Parking in the port means you have to climb 4 floors to get on the property but you will be happy to do it. It is not big. I was there with my wife. For two people is enough space. We love to drink our coffee on the patio early in the morning. In the evening when we went back we went again on the patio to have a glass of wine and more important to feed neighbour’s cats. Somehow everything looks far from this property but you will enjoy every second of your staying. Downstairs on the port you can fish. Also you can admire ships going up on the Douro river. If you are looking for tranquility and peace I suggest you to try it.

Het huisje is goed ingericht en heeft een mooi uitzicht. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Manuel heeft ons ontvangen en uitgelegd hoe we bij het huisje konden komen. Met de auto kan dat niet, er is een zeer steile helling waar je vanaf moet en later ook weer terug. Het advies is om beneden bij de haven van Porto Carvoeiro te parkeren. Van daar moet er via trappen en een zeer steile weg naar het huis worden gelopen, met bagage. Het huis is beslist niet geschikt voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn!Google Maps geeft de route naar het huisje met de steile helling maar beter is om Porto Carvoeiro in te stellen en van daaruit naar het huisje te lopen. Manuel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam maar spreekt alleen Frans en Portugees. Meerdere talen via Google translate. Wij hebben een mooie tijd gehad en zijn met de fiets naar Porto gereden. Dat is ongeveer 25 km, een mooie route langs de Douro.

Der Vermieter war freundlich und kam zuverlässig zum Ein und Auschecken. Wir konnten die Unterkunft früher beziehen. Sie ist ordentlich und sauber. Mit dem Vermieter konnten wir uns nicht verständigen, da er nur französisch und portugiesisch spricht.Von der Terrasse sieht man halb auf den Fluss und direkt auf eine Hausruine, die aber langsam von Pflanzen überzogen wird.Die Strassen/Wege sind sehr steil und schlecht. Mit dem Auto ist es nicht möglich, direkt zum Haus zu fahren.Es ist aber überhaupt kein Autolärm zu hören.Im Schlafzimmer hat uns ein Fliegengitter vor dem Fenster gefehlt.

La propriété est en soit impeccable du point de vue des équipements , grand réfrigérateur, air climatisé et un bon lit . Le logement est Idéal pour deux adultes. Près de Porto et du Douro vous vivrez des moments merveilleux et immersif dans ce petit village pittoresques. Le seul bémol est l’accès au gîte la route d’accès proposée (GPS) est difficile, très étroite et très en pente. Nous avons donc opter de se rendre et stationner au port. Il y a un stationnement sécuritaire, de la nous avons emprunter l’accès via un chemin avec escalier (peu entretenu) et lui aussi en pente assez raide donc pas facile de le gravir avec les valises! Le propriétaire M Pinto est très sympathique et serviable il nous a même proposé de l’aide pour les bagages que nous avons décliné. L’épicerie de Canedo (continente nom dia) est à proximité ainsi que plusieurs restaurants. Bref un endroit idéal pour faire la boucle du Douro, Porto et bien sûr le marché d’Espinho

Prima verblijf

Prachtig nieuw appartement, heel schoon en netjes. Als enige zou ik kunnen zeggen dat het gezelliger aangekleed zou kunnen worden. Mooi uitzicht over de Douro, 's morgens komen de grote rivierboten langs. Verder heel rustig maar met een auto is alles goed te berriken

PARFAIT

Nous avons passé 18 jours dans cette petite maison perchée sur les rives du DOURO qui offre une vue directe sur le fleuve. D'une propreté irréprochable, le logement totalement rénové est parfait.Situé dans un village très calme, c'est un point de départ idéal pour visiter PORTO et les bords de mer ainsi que les parcs naturels.Le propriétaire très accueillant et sympathique parle très bien le français. Voiture indispensable . Nous conservons l'adresse....

Piccolo angolo di tranquillità

Piccolo appartamento con due terrazzi con vista sul Douro. L'appartamento è stato ristrutturato recentemente ed ha tutto il necessario per passare delle vacanze tranquille. In trenta minuti si puo' raggiungere sia il mare che Porto. Manuel e sua moglie sono gentilissimi e ci hanno anche dato i pomodori e zucchini del loro orto. Raccomando questo posto!

séjour relaxant au bord du Douro

Nous avons été bien reçus. Le sympathique propriétaire qui parle aussi le français nous a donné beaucoup d'informations sur le quartier. Le logement est bien situé et parfaitement en ordre. C'est un quartier très calme et l'endroit peut servir de point de départ pour visiter le nord du Portugal.

Excellentes vacances

Nous avons passé 3 superbes semaines de vacances dans cette charmante petite maison. Le propriétaire a été très accueillant et a l'écoute tout au long du séjour. A voir ce que nous ferons mais il est possible que nous revenions l'an prochain !!
