Comfy winter ski lease

We had a fabulous ski season staying at Bristlecone. It was truly the perfect year to be up there. We are a family of five and the house worked out very well for us. Two of my children slept upstairs in the loft and one in the office. We enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen (which was very well equipped), playing pool, and doing puzzles there. We thought the house was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The master bathtub was awesome after a long day of skiing. We were grateful for the robot vacuum cleaner. The location was very good. We enjoyed being able to walk to the lake and to Sugar Pine Bakery, Tahoe City was super close for groceries and take out, and the ski resorts were an easy drive. We only experienced traffic problems a couple of times. The yard was great for building snow forts. There were a few things we wished we had realized about the house. The upstairs loft does not have a door, so sound really carries up there making it difficult to use the family room once the kids went to bed. The office bed is only a full, so fine for one person, but tight for a couple. This combination makes the house less than ideal for having any guests stay over (which was fine with us given COVID, but is something to be aware of). The mattresses are probably fine for some, but we found them to be way too soft (all have pillow tops or foam toppers). The TV in the family room was rather small to enjoy family tv watching; we ended up in the master bedroom most of the time. The internet is also pretty limited. Again, not sure this would be an issue for everyone, but it made working from there challenging. This may be a local service issue or a house issue, not sure. But if we had more than a few devices on the wifi, it would generally not work well. An example of this is if I tried to work on my laptop while folks were trying to watch tv (which was all streaming services), either the tv or my laptop would be adversely affected (manifested either by spooling on the tv or with my computer just not being able to email or connect to meetings). We found Tahoe Getaways overall responsive to the few minor issues we had and wouldn't hesitate to lease from them again. These considerations didn't significantly detract from our stay and overall I would highly recommend the house as being homey, comfortable, and a lovely place to rent for a season lease.
