OUR CABIN IS IN A VERY QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD. We love our guests and want you to enjoy your stay but loud noise and partying is not appropriate for this cabin.
This charming, clean and nicely decorated cabin (we call 'the baby') is adorable. It is a great family oriented cabin in the very wooded but friendly area of Agate Bay or Carnelian Bay. This area is "North Lake Tahoe". Right in between Kings Beach and Tahoe City, but closer to Kings Beach. It's a great centralized location, close to the lake, away from the crowds but very close to the action in Kings Beach and Tahoe City as well. The closest ski resort is North Star (about 15 minutes drive), however Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows) is not much further away (about 20 minutes drive) away. Other nearby ski resorts include Diamond Peak(about 20 minute drive), Mt. Rose (about 30 minute drive). The ski resorts around Donner Pass (Boreal, Sugar Bowl & Tahoe Donner, Donner Ski Ranch, Soda Springs) are 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Then the south shore resorts (Heavenly & Kirkwood are an hour or more away). If you don't already know, Tahoe has a lot of ski resorts to choose from and Carnelian Bay is the perfect spot to explore as many as you'd like!
It has a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom downstairs and a cozy loft sleeping area with full bathroom upstairs. There is a sitting\play area for the kids (and those young at heart) upstairs as well in the loft sleeping area. The icing on the cake is the large deck with your own hot tub, great for warming up in the winter and lounging in the summer.
We are very close to one of the Tahoe Rim trail entrances. A beautiful view once you reach the top. An hour hike for all ages. It is also fun to walk to breakfast to the old Carnelian Bay Post Office converted to a wonderful old world cafe.
In the winter months the woods are covered with snow and the cabin is warm and cozy. Ski lifts near by are North Star, great for family.
Diamond Peak which is a bit smaller (and sort of a secret to the tourists) is close, and is a lot of fun with three very long runs. Mt. Rose is to the east a bit further.
It is also close to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley but the above are a bit less of a drive. The cabin is on a slope so tobogganing is right outside the door.
Then back to the cabin for a hot, relaxing Jacuzzi on the deck.
You will love your stay in 'The Baby' as it has brought many wonderful memories to our family and friends and many return renters.

Super cozy mountainside home that had lots of space and everything you need. Great views and the hot tub was amazing. Close to restaurants and trails. We would definitely book again.
The location of this cabin was wonderful. Very close to everything. The deck was very nice to sit outside. the spa was great. The kitchen was well stocked and many beds in the loft. A great place for a family or two.
I've stayed at this property a few times now and keep coming back every year. It was great to have my kids and other family enjoy this time at Lake Tahoe, at a great property. I really love this beautiful cabin!
I stayed with my family and it was perfect for us. There were 5 adults and 1 dog and it was a good size and location. The deck is cute and the neighborhood is quiet. Overall happy with our stay!
We've been here two years in a row now and likely will come back again. It's a great cabin for two families where the kids can share their own space in the loft.
We had a great time at the cabin. The property manager was responsive with the couple questions we had for her. Everything about the listing was just what we had hoped. Thanks for the great stay!
We had a great stay in this cabin! Very clean and everything was as expected. Stephany was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely consider staying here again, maybe during winter next time!
Very good. Comfortable, responsive owner, love the cushy bed, clean, nice quiet neighborhood, convenient location to the lake, restaurants, etc. Great for our off-leash dogs - close to Tahoe Recreations Area and two nice dog beaches.
We loved staying here. The house was beautiful, cozy, and just what we had hoped for. We were within an easy driving distance of multiple ski resorts. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the gorgeous trees. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals at home, too!
It is a wonderful property. Very cozy cabin with a lot of amenities and superb location. The beds were comfortable, the automatic fireplace very convenient, and the kitchen was great. If you're planning on cooking though be sure to bring some oil. All the instructions were clear, didn't have any problems.
We had a great time with my young kids. Place as described, well stocked, and cute area upstairs for children. Would definitely return.

Tahoe cabin
Loved the cabin, Stephany was very attentive. It was very easy to check in. We loved the pool area. It was a real treat staying here with family that had never been to Tahoe. Well worth the money. Thanks so much!
What a perfect cabin. Stayed 3 night for a wedding weekend and this was the perfect place to rest and relax when not being festive. The hot tub was so nice to take daily soaks in drinking coffee on the large couch and letting the warm sun pour in the A Frame was so so lovely! Thank you!
Overall - Wonderful! Great property and the pics don't do it justice. Cute decor and tasteful. Great location and good communication from owner. This is a gem!

About the host
Hosted by Stephany
Our family has made many memories in the "Baby' cabin. Lake Tahoe has been our home away from home since I was a little girl. It's our family's favorite place in the world and we hope to share our love for the area with you as well.
Why they chose this property
We have always visited Lake Tahoe to ski and snowboard as a family. We have family in Reno, so the annual ski vacation included much of our extended family as well. We finally bought our own cabin and we spend a good amount of time year round at the Lake. In a lot of ways I now prefer the summertime for our time at Lake Tahoe. Winter is wonderful but there is so much to do in the summer.
What makes this property unique
We have a wonderful wooden deck, surrounded by tall pine and fir trees. The deck is furnished with patio furniture, and a large private/year round jacuzzi. We have a propane BBQ grill for your use on the deck as well. PLEASE NOTE that the BBQ is not available for use in the winter due to the very heavy snowfall we usually get. Please do not plan on using it October/November through April/May. We usually put it away some time in October and bring it out sometime in May. So, please inquire if you are coming in the spring or fall regarding its availability.
