About this property

Cottage Escape in Virginia Wine Country

LoeLynn Farms is the quiet escape you need. This two-story cottage nestled in the mountains in Virginia's Wine Country offers a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor living, lake access, and, most importantly - peace and relaxation. The Cottage is conveniently located to many wineries, breweries, exceptional restaurants and outdoor adventures. We are just 75 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. in the heart of Loudoun County Wine Country and many historic neighborhoods. We can't wait to see you!
Nestled on 25 acres, LoeLynn Farms is a 110-year-old dairy farm that is being brought back to life by the hosts. The cottage offers a cozy queen bed and a full, bright bathroom located on the upper level overlooking the grounds. Stay in for board games and movies, or head out for a hiking adventure or vineyard tour. Make it a grill-at-home night, or enjoy a meal at one of our favorite farm-to-table restaurants for delicious food and wine. Take one of our kayaks out, or bring your fishing rod to our private lake stocked full of various types of fish. Be sure to visit one of the 50 award-winning wineries or over 30 craft breweries in the area while you are here. Whatever your preference, you are sure to find something to enjoy.

You will have full access to the Guest House and the field behind the Guest House, which features some short trails around our Silo and up to the barn. We also allow our guests to wander our farm. Our only ask is that you respect our privacy and don't wander onto our side of the farm. A map of the grounds is provided in the unit if you are interested in exploring

We welcome you to bring your own fishing gear to use on the lake. Please let us know in advance!

The home is most ideal for two adults. While we have not specifically set up the space for a small child traveler, you are welcome to bring them with your own pack-n-play and necessities. Also, small, potty-trained animals are welcome.

Note, LoeLynn Farms is an old Farm that was built in 1910 and has gone through a number of hands, some of which neglected sections of the farm until we came to acquire it in 2020. The majority of your payment helps us restore our farm back to its natural beauty. However, areas of the farm are in much-needed repair. Our only ask is that you respect the farm and the old structures, and do not attempt to climb on or scale the structures around the farm.

Beatiful area and super clean place!
Overall the property was awesome and everything was very clean. I missed an email so it did take a few minutes to figure out the checkin process but otherwise flawless and absolutely would stay again.

Peaceful country getaway
This beautiful property is off the beaten path. Cute & cozy little cabin decorated in a shabby chic/country decor. The only issue we had was some spotty WiFi/internet service but the owner quickly answered our concerns and all was well. I’d definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.

About the host

Host profile image
The Summers family has a love for Adventure and spending time together with family and friends. My wife, Julia, and I recently moved to Lovettsville and have fallen in love with the people, the atmosphere, and of course all the hiking, vineyards, and breweries! You can usually find us with our two kids and two dogs playing outside, working around the farm or exploring Loudoun County.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property and all of the potential. Although we could tell much of the property had been neglected, we knew that with a little TLC it could be a great place for us to raise a family and host events for family, friends, and now guests! So we are excited to be opening up our first short term rental to not only share the property that we love but to also help us to continue to convert the property into an even greater destination than it already is.

What makes this property unique

Your only little cottage on 25 acres of rolling acres with a lake available to all of our guests stocked full of fish.
