Great place to stay!

Even though we had to walk up to the top floor, we really enjoyed staying here. It was quiet and friendly neighborhood/community. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great weekend getaway

Stayed here with two families of four for a nearby soccer tournament. The condo was perfect for our group with two master suites, and the kids enjoyed the community amenities (tennis, volleyball). Nice area to take a walk in the morning as well, and close to good restaurants and stores. We might be back next year.

Overall it was very nice and we would stay there again. The place could use to replace a few things, pillows, screen on the porch and shower curtains but it was nothing at ruined our stay.

Nice area, short drive to bethany.

The place was on the 3rd floor, the view was wonderful, convient to have 4 bathrooms, and multiple rooms and beds, and no bunkers. Had a wifi issue the company was very prompt with service. There is a pool on premises, golf course, and a cute little butterfly garden. The stay for the week was great.

We spent a wonderful week at Bethany Bay. The condo was clean and well equipped. We loved the screened in porch as well as being able to look out over the water from the LR and 2 bedrooms. We used all the amenities (pool, tennis, pickleball, golf, walking trails) and enjoyed both sunrise and sunset. Highly recommened!

Overall great weekend

We had a great weekend, everything was as we had hoped. Our only complaint was the cleaning crew got there at 9:40 and stood outside our door as we loaded up our vehicles. Checkout is at 10:00.

Quiet Community, convenient location to area beaches and shopping!

This condo is convenient to what is considered Bethany Beach DE (north of Ocean City MD plenty to keep the family busy...south of Rehoboth DE and plenty of outlet shopping). The condo complex has a great pool area for all ages to enjoy; especially nice after a few hours at the beach! The condo had the perfect decor for a beach themed vacation and plenty of rooms for a group vacation as well! The after hours check in/out process is a great option. Our only bit of advice is to invest in more comfortable mattresses throughout!

Quiet Views

This quiet property is beautifully appointed with great views of a local pond with various birds. Loved that it is a home with 2 floors, washer, dryer and ironing board a plus! We liked walking up the 2 flights--good exercise! Took advantage of nearby forest trails for early morning walks--lovely! Downsides: carpet throughout is badly in need of a good shampoo and ceiling fans need thorough cleaning especially the living room fan Balcony screen should be fixed to avoid insect infiltration. Front door is not hung properly and allows for a lot of drafts. Visible dust on some walls which could easily be remedied by cleaning staff. Would stay here again as we loved the location.

Beautiful home & community

Property was well-maintained, beautiful community, spacious, modern and well suited for 2 grandmothers, young parents and a two year old. Location is off the beaten path a little and poor internet/phone service is an issue. Cleanliness was okay but it was evident that attention to detail to make sure hair was not left behind, dust etc was not taken. All in all we would absolutely stay again because it was gorgeous and overall a clean and quiet place.

Great for big family

Very spacious. About 10 mins from stores. A few issues, carpets could be a bit cleaner. Pillows should be replaced. Couches could be replaced. Coffee mugs were the size of tea cups and when we arrived one of the rooms lightbulbs needed to be replaced. I called to get them fixed but they never came. We stayed for 4 days. A bit annoying was having to drive 15 mins away to obtain the pool passes. But over all nice for families.

Great place but you have to pay through Vacasa and download their app.

Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and a great view. It was a simple no frills place that met our needs. I didn't realize this was a Vacasa property. As soon as I paid the first installment through Vrbo I was directed to download the Vacasa app and only go through their website to pay the second payment. All communication was then through Vacasa. Sometimes Vacasa provided contradicting information... the first documents (there were so many) said I needed to "check in" at a building 10 minutes away, then I was told a few days before "no need the door has a passcode." Then I was told to leave the sheets on the bed for checkout but another communication said to strip them. I hope I did everything right. We enjoyed this property.

Very disappointing

Based on the pictures advertised, this was a wonderful selection for 5 professional educated women to getaway and relax while catching up on our lives and making memories. Well, the furniture is old, worn and definitely not bright and vibrant. The patio furniture is badly stained, unsure what the stains are from, but on appearance, it was obvious it was something we were not going to sit on; leaving that area totally unusable. The bed linen hung very raggedly from under the spread, causing me to have to strip each bed and remake them. However, the floors were clean. Insult to injury occurred when we were met by a male wearing no shirt directly outside our front door as we were leaving for dinner. Long story short, he wanted to know “if we were working.” Fortunately a very wonderful neighbor who I exchanged numbers with, him and his wife kept on eye on us after that, checking to make sure we were safe doing our coming and going. Thus is a beautiful area, and I hope we just happened to get a poorly maintained unit; and the insulting, unwanted guest is not the norm. The property is very well maintained with an obvious very active HOA.

Good location, great views, misleading parking information

The location is absolutely stunning with great views right from the balcony. It is also conveniently located 10 minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from outlets. With all that said, we had a few issues and we would NOT be recommending this place to others: 1) although the owner told us there is plenty of parking, only 2 cars are allowed on the property. this was highly misleading as we asked multiple times for details on parking. We found out that only 2 cars were allowed when one of the neighbors left a handwritten note on one of our windshields (even though the parking lot was empty). The customer service was horrible and kept telling us to go to a parking garage when there are no public parking nearby. It was only after our insisting that they find a resolution that they informed the property that we will have extra cars on the weekend. 2) The neighbors are clearly very tired of tourists. We felt watched by everyone (we are visibly POCs). Although we tried to keep it down, we had young kids with us who we obviously could not force to stay quiet especially while on vacation. The neighbors kept telling us to keep it down because the walls are thin and they could hear every noise. 3) the carpet, furniture, and linens should be thrown out and replaced. The carpet was filthy with stains everywhere. The furniture was old, stained, and uncomfortable. Worst of all, the linens had multiple stains and the towels were hard as rock.

Not bad but could be better

Sending out generalized information in emails only results in more phone calls asking for clarification making it almost impossible to speak with someone in the office. 90 minutes on hold to do so is overly extreme. The overall cleanliness of the unit was ok with the exception of the floor in the upstairs bathroom having dirt/hair in spots where the mop was lifted from the floor and the kitchen counter and table having crumbs and stuck on food on them. With the current pandemic, seeing the kitchen in this condition causes serious doubts to the thoroughness with which the rest of the unit was cleaned causing us to wipe down all frequently touched surfaces with disinfecting wipes. Better communication with the Bethany Bay personnel regarding the swimming pool hours, and the fact that it closes every 90 minutes for "cleaning", helps people plan their days better, especially with younger children in tow. Would also be helpful to know they require gloves for the children to use the playground equipment. The "rules" of Bethany Bay are reasonable, but apparently only apply to visitors. Residents blasting music near their garage loud enough to hear in the back of our unit(inside) at 11:45pm on Friday night is not necessary and plain rude. Otherwise, our stay was as enjoyable as it could be.

Family friendly

The place was quiet and looked just like the pictures. It was clean and very comfortable. I gave it a 4 start rating because the carpet needs cleaning and the dryer machine was not working. Overall a great place to stay we will definitely come back

Very nice place to stay! Very family friendly!

Nice place to stay. Lots of luggage with little ones so the third floor with no elevator and lots of luggage was a lot but the place was very nice and perfect for our whole family. Would definitely recommend staying here.
