YellowBird is our renovated home welcoming guests with vacation vibes on private, friendly Woodridge Lake, just minutes from Litchfield County’s most charming small towns and ski resorts. Only 2 hours from NYC, 2.5 hours from Boston and 10 min from Litchfield village green.

Savor gorgeous views and privacy with 150 ft of DIRECT LAKEFRONT with western exposures where you’ll get long afternoons followed by perfect sunset views over the water. You'll discover the lake is exceptionally well-cared for and has a great energy but without the crowds since there is no public boat launch and no jet skis allowed.

There's so much to do within minutes! You can explore Litchfield County's state parks, hiking trails, farms, fall foliage, covered bridges, vineyards, antiquing, golf, great restaurants, cultural festivities, plus skiing and snow tubing (Mohawk Mountain 10 min, Ski Sundown 20 min, and Butternut 45 min).

House Details
-Be assured cleanliness and comfort are priorities.
-Five bedrooms with new luxury mattresses and bedding allow your family a great night’s sleep.
-Enjoy access to the deck and lake views from the main floor bedroom and ensuite with sauna.
-The 5th bedroom also serves as an office.
-The fully equipped kitchen is designed for preparing fabulous meals whether you choose to dine at the long table inside near the fire or outside at sunset.
-Sun, swim and fish from YellowBird's private dock and lakefront. Plenty of beach chairs to spread out and relax.
-Seasonally and with a TWO-WEEK minimum stay (HOA rule) you can have access the community club amenities which includes access to the clubhouse, fitness center, heated pool, eight tennis courts (4 clay, 4 hard), four beaches and community planned events/concerts throughout the summer. (requires 2 week minimum and $125 fee)
-Get out on the water with our stand-up paddle board, two kayaks and canoe.
-Feel yourself relax into vacation mode and get ready for a great time.

TWO-WEEK stay (HOA rule) lets you live like you’re at a resort with access to community club amenities, only a short stroll from the house. Community club amenities include a beautiful clubhouse, pool, gym, eight tennis courts (clay and hard courts), four beaches, marina, and activities/events/concerts year-round.

No parties and no pets please.

Yellowbird is a magical property. From sun up to sunset, the views of the lake are spectacular from the many thoughtfully curated vistas the home provides…the deck, the outdoor dining area, the lakeside lounging, the dock, and inside in the comfy living space. The owners have provided every amenity you need to fully relax and enjoy your stay. There are watercraft for exploring the sparkling lake, 2 fire pits, games galore. And, the owners are quick to reply should you need to get in touch. Can’t wait to return!

Wonderful weekend getaway

My friends and I enjoyed an amazing long weekend at Yellowbird. The property has serene views of the lake, privacy, and an excellent vibe for getting away with friends. The property was very clean, well organized, and well suited for long and short term stays! My friends and I could not have been more pleased about staying here, and look forward to booking this venue in the future.

Great lake house

We enjoyed our stay. It is very close to local skiing and other hiking options. House was very nice, well stocked (even firewood!) and hosts were welcoming and provided lots of info on area, things to do, places to eat etc. would also be a great lake house for the summer season on the lake.

Relaxing getaway

Yellowbird is a wonderful place all around. We had a lovely weekend getaway in this well maintained and updated home on a beautiful lake. Sitting by the fire, playing cards, and the comforts of the home allowed for some much needed relaxation and connection in a safe place during the pandemic.

Great family getaway

Beautiful location with awesome outdoor space. The weather didn’t really cooperate for us, but we still had a great time. Large dining table for family meals, my kids loved the bunkbeds, super comfortable bedding. Hosts were wonderful. Would definitely go back!

Thanksgiving at the Lake

Wonderful property! We had a big family Thanksgiving with great sunset views, corn hole games, puzzles and card games saunas, and PacMan! The place had enough room for us to spread out, and the view never got old. Loved the luxury bedding in my room and the fact that you could either use the top sheet or just the duvet! Would love to come again.

This was one of the nicest houses I have ever stayed in. It was just beautiful and comfortable. Everything was super clean, the beds were really comfortable and the view is spectacular. I would totally recommend this house to anyone looking to get away. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hosts are lovely and left us chocolates and wine. I’ve already sent this house to friends of ours to book for a getaway..

Amazing Property!

What a great vacation house! We are an extended family of 8 adults and 7 young adults (age 16+) and this house was perfect for a week's stay. The house is super well appointed and has everything you would ever want and/or need. Great indoor and outdoor spaces, fully stocked kitchen and several different living spaces to hang out (and separate when needed)! Would recommend this property without reservation! And I should mention that hosts were very responsive and helpful!

Yellow Bird Stay

The house was charming and spacious for our family. The views of the lake were stunning and we really enjoyed the outdoor area. Sitting by the firepit listening to music and enjoying the scenery just chillin was something we all loved. The area is nice with plenty to do but we really didn’t need to venture out much because we had everything we needed right there. The beds were very comfortable. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back. Also, Jen and Raj were very responsive and great to deal with.

Yellowbird is the best!

Spent a recent weekend at Yellowbird to celebrate a family milestone. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. We had no problem communicating with the owner, who always responded to us quickly. If the occasion rises, we would definitely return.

Summer Getaway

Our family had a fabulous time at the Yellow Bird Lake House. We had all ages and there was always something to do. We kayaked, paddle boarded, fished off the dock, made s’mores and played cards into the night. It was the perfect relaxing getaway for our summer vacation. Everything we could need was stocked at the house. Plenty of towels for swimming and wood for the fire pit. We would definitely recommend this property. The owners are lovely and readily available. Great summer getaway!
