Great communication from the host, who went above and beyond by helping us find a local babysitter. The house was clean, accurately described and the basement toy room was an added bonus. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and is a 10min drive away from Mohawk Mt Ski area.

Perfect ski weekend getaway with kids!

We loved everything about our long weekend in Goshen. The house was so spacious, clean, comfortable, and great for our two families. The basement with the toys and dvds for the kids were perfect, and the two twin bed rooms were exactly what we needed. It was such a short trip to ski at Mohawk Mountain, and the hosts made our stay so easy and effortless. We will absolutely be back and have already recommended it to friends!

Ladies weekend at Woodridge Lake

Six ladies shared a wonderful weekend in Connecticut celebrating a good friends Birthday. The house was wonderful, very spacious and tastefully decorated. The house was very well appointed throughout and is located in a lovely lake community with a pretty lake and club house. Sarah was very sweet and welcoming. The area has much to offer in restaurants, spas, hiking, wineries etc. A wonderful time was had by all. I would definitely consider returning to this location and house at a future date.

We were two families with kids and truly enjoyed this house. It's a two mintute walk to the clubhouse with pool, lake access, playground, all set in a gorgeous setting. The house is perfectly maintained. There are many special touches (bathroom fully stocked), kitchen had everything we needed, fridge was perfectly clean with no left overs from previous stays. Basement had a cute play area and backyard had swings. We just didn't have enough days to enjoy. Definitely hoping to come back!

Fabulous 60th Birthday weekend with friends!

I stayed at this property to celebrate a few 60th birthday’s. There was 8 girlfriends. This house was perfect! Sleeps 8 very comfortably, 3 bathrooms with all the essentials. The kitchen had all the necessity’s for cooking, stove and oven worked great. There was a large dining table that was wonderful for meals, games and just chatting. The living room is fabulous! Lots of natural light, plenty of space and comfortable seating for all of us. Wood fireplace which we did not use but would be nice on chilly evenings. The screened porch was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sun setting through the trees. The house was decorated for fall with mums, pumpkins and gourds. Sarah was an exceptional host, she responded to my questions quickly. We had such a great weekend, made many memories we will cherish forever in this wonderful home. This property is highly recommended and will definitely stay here again!

Every detail perfect-so thoughtful

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this lovely VRBO. Each room has just what you’d need including multi-tap plugs on the nightstands, individual heat and AC per bedroom, toiletries, paper products including extra supplies and trash bags/food wrap, cleaning products, hair dryers, fans, iron and ironing board. WiFi was strong and easy to log onto. The neighbor is super friendly and welcoming. Although we did not cook beyond heating things in the microwave, we found that there was a full assortment of supplies necessary had we wanted to. The Keurig coffee maker was stocked with a large assortment of K cups to use, not just a handful as with hotels. The three bathrooms all operated well and we had plenty of hot water for showers. The Woodridge Lake community is beautiful and we were there for a family function at the clubhouse across the street. There is so much to do in Litchfield-Cornwall-Bantam if you are here for a vacation. Be sure to stop at Thorncrest Dairy for their delicious chocolates, and to Arethusa Farm Dairy in Bantam for some incredible ice cream from their famous cows. Highly recommend a dinner at Hopkins Inn on Lake Waramaug, and some canoeing or kayaking or fishing along the Housatonic River.

Our host was wonderful. My nephew got married at the clubhouse at Woodridge Lake and we were looking for a place to stay nearby. This property was absolutely perfect! The place is so comfortable and well appointed. We could not have been happier! A really great place for a group getaway at any time of year. Excellent host!

Seamless relaxation!

From the moment I booked our stay, Sarah was responsive and friendly. She made the process quick and easy. Then as we got closer to the date of our stay she volunteered suggestions for activities and then answered our list of questions about restaurants and orchards in the area very quickly. We are 4 high school friends, now in our 50s, and gathered at this beautiful home for a long weekend. We came from California, Virginia, Utah, and Massachusetts. It was well worth the travel! This home is equipped with everything to make your stay seamless! We cooked in the well-stocked kitchen, we relaxed in front of the beautiful fireplace, while knitting and reminiscing. We enjoyed the roomy eating areas and the gorgeous Fall views! The bedding is top-knotch and the towels are full and fluffy. Sarah, the owner, was warm and welcoming in her email responses, and we so appreciated her quick responses to any questions we had. We enjoyed the wineries and chocolate shop, the knitting stores and the wonderful restaurants. A great place to walk and enjoy the lake view right across the street! When in this area, we would LOVE to stay in this beautiful home again. Thank you so much, Sarah! We are grateful!

Our favorite family vacation in years!

This house really has it all. It goes without saying that the location is amazing, so close to all the amenities of the lake. Walk over to play tennis, enjoy the beach, fitness center, pool. The house has everything you could ever need and is beautifully maintained, probably the most well maintained rental we have ever stayed in. The owner provides a great guest book with all sorts of fun things to do in the area - restaurants, live music venues, farmers markets, chocolate shop, local dairy, fishing, etc. We had a wonderful time at this house and look forward to coming back next spring. Thank you Sarah for sharing your amazing home with us!

What a house! it has everything - and **location**

We were here for the peak of fall foliage, and it was amazing. To start with, the house is beautifully decorated, very clean and has everything you could need. very nice high end linens, towels and every detail you could think of. The living room was fantastic for a fall evening fire and we snuggled up for some sports on the large TV above the fire. The house has a great layout, a large dining area off the kitchen, huge living room and four generous bedrooms. The bathrooms are updated and fresh. We loved everything about this house. A few days we walked over to the clubhouse to enjoy the fitness center. We did some local hikes which were amazing as the leaves were changing. And we had a wonderful special last night dinner at Arethusa al tavolo (not to be missed!). The leaf peeping drives from town to town can't be beat - don't miss the covered bridge in Cornwall, the hike at Kent falls (and town of Kent), walk around the Litchfield green, hike in White Woods. There is endless fun near this house in the fall. We will be back!

Really impressed with the quality of this home!!

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this beautiful home a few weekends ago. The home was really impressive. We had a view of the water that I wasn't expecting and the balcony off of the master bedroom both looks out over this wonderful view and also gave us some privacy for suntanning! The bathrooms are spotless - in some cases look brand new, with heated flooring - and the towels and toiletries that Sarah left for us were a really special touch! Towels are all new and fresh. Bedding smelled really yummy..(that matters!) and the kitchen was fresh and clean. The bed was also really comfortable with lots of new pillows. I felt good about everything in the kitchen and the beer in the fridge when we got there!!!! So nice!!! I am excited to come back and will stay in this home again.

Amazing Vacation, Great Lake House

We stayed for a week in August 2014 and can't say enough about how much we loved the house and more importantly the lake. The clubhouse area is just a short walk and has so much to do. We played tennis almost every day, worked at at the gym and enjoyed the pool. There is also a nice beach. We had a lobster roll for lunch at the snack bar, yum! The house is great as well - it has 4 full bedrooms, and updated bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the linens were very nice (always important to us when renting a house). There are a number of seating areas to relax and enjoy time together - a large dining area (inside) and a dining area on the deck which we used a ton. Also very nice area to relax in the living room. We loved the local areas as well - there is the CT wine trail, a nice spa I tried one day and some very good local restaurants (farm to table style). We felt away from it all - but at the same time loved all the nearby attractions and amenities. This was a great vacation for us, we made great memories and hope to return in the future.
