LOCATION Mount Pleasant/Charleston, South Carolina area; Located in the heart of Mount Pleasant and less than 10 minutes to Sullivan’s Island (Beach) and Downtown Historic Charleston. Also very close to the Isle of Palms (Beach).
ACCOMMODATIONS This Charming Cape Cod style home features 4 bedrooms (3 Bedrooms downstairs and 1 large bedroom upstairs) (Downstairs: 1 Master/King Bed, 2 Bedrooms with Queen Beds, Upstairs: 1 Large Bedroom with 2 Queen Beds / TOTAL: 1 King and 4 Queens), 3 full baths (Downstairs: Master walk-in shower, Hall: Tub/Shower combination, Upstairs: Walk-in shower), a large 16’ x 21’ rear deck, 3 Smart/Hi-Def Flat Screen TV's (Family room, master bedroom and upstairs bedroom), High speed internet access, hardwood floors throughout the main level, large corner/cul-de-sac lot with plenty of room to park your boat (No HOA), large fenced rear yard, new commercial grade stainless steel appliances with a gas range, and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. The home was totally renovated in (2020) and is in like new overall condition. This home sleeps up to 10 comfortably!
Dining tables: There is one eat in area with a table and 4 chairs. There is a dining room area with a table and 4 chairs. Deck: There is a wrought iron table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. There are 6 additional portable chairs on the rear deck.
ABOUT OUR HOME This cute and charming home is centrally located in the heart of Mount Pleasant, minutes from the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. This immaculate and comfortable home is situated on a peaceful cul-de-sac lot located just off Chuck Dawley Boulevard in between Highway 17 and Coleman Boulevard in a tranquil, safe, established residential neighborhood. The home is within blocks of numerous restaurants, taverns, grocery stores, shopping, and Shem Creek (less than 2 miles). The living area features vaulted ceilings which open to the kitchen and eat in area. There is also a formal dining room located just off the kitchen. Both of these areas feature dining tables for 4 (8 total). The property features a great outdoor space to relax after exploring our great City of Charleston or local beaches! The proximity to local beaches, Shem Creek, all kinds of outdoor water activities, and the best food and entertainment the Lowcountry offers makes this the perfect vacation get away. Enjoy the spacious yard or take a bike ride to one of the great nearby restaurants.
ACCESSIBILITY There are three entry/exit doors to the home. Each door has approximately 3 steps in order to access the interior and three bedrooms on the main level. There is a stair case to obtain the upstairs 4th bedroom and full bathroom. Please see the floor plan located in the photos section.
OWNER INFORMATION The owner of the property is a local resident and is easily accessible. In order to fully accommodate guests, a helpful list of information with recommendations including restaurants (especially the ones that are unknown to tourists), taverns, golf courses, fishing charters, boat tours, water activities, places to visit, etc… will be provided upon arrival in order to enhance your vacation experience.
TRAVEL INSURANCE We highly suggest our guests to purchase travel insurance when making the their reservations if they consider it necessary. Especially during the Hurricane season for the area. We do not offer any refunds for any cancellations unless the immediate area of the property is under a mandatory evacuation.
MISC. Early Check-In: Our cleaners have a tight schedule preparing our homes for upcoming guests. Please do not ask for an early check-in unless it's absolutely necessary. We will do our best to accommodate.
Supplies (Paper, soap, etc...): We will provide a starter kit for you. However, we will not replenish the supply during your stay. The home is fully stocked with everything you need.

Beautiful home. This is the second time we have stayed there and we will go back again! The house is conveniently located near many restaurants and amenities.
Great location and excellent property for 7 friends getting together. We ate out but had coffee in mornings and drinks at night at the house. Thankful the living room was larger than it appeared in the pics. I’d say great for families as you can spread out
Overall a great experience. Neighborhood was quiet. The house was exactly like the . Loved the space in the rooms. The only thing I would suggest is more curtains. Other than that no complaints
Charleston city proper was a convenient 15 minute car ride. We did this drive everyday easily. However, first day lunch at Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant. Sullivan Island beach a 10 minute( if that ) ride away. Host very responsive on 2 questions I had while there. Highly highly recommend. Tons of bedrooms which was great.
Our family of 7 adults and 2 under the age of four recently stayed at The Big Kahuna. The house is even nicer than the online pictures, extremely clean and above all comfortable for the whole family. The neighbor is nice and it is located on a quiet cul-de-sac Everything we needed was supplied. We were attending a wedding and it was easy for all of us to get ready at the same time with the three bathrooms. Lastly, it was a short drive to Charleston, restaurants and beach areas.. Thank You, we would definitely stay there again. Don’t miss out on this house!
There were 3 couples & one single person on this wedding weekend. The house was close to the wedding reception & accessible to Charleston & we had a trip into Isle of Palm. Great Host!

Nice location and home, but has issues
Nice location, cute neighborhood, house is nicely renovated and decorated. However, there is some pretty substantial water damage in the main area. The owner responded but seemed dismissive of the issues when I asked about a moldy/musty smell. Our stay ended up being fine, but wished we were aware of the water issues before arriving. Also did not get checkin info sent, had to request it from owner on day of. Listing says 3pm but owner said 4pm check-in time. No toilet paper in one of the bathrooms upon arriving. Overall, nice location and house if a few items are addressed by owner.
Quiet neighborhood in Mount Pleasant; easy to get into Charleston and plenty of really good restaurants nearby in Mt. Pleasant. House was perfect size for our family.
Four of us stayed at Ric's house for several days while we were at the Charleston Open. The house is in a cute, quiet neighborhood and is convenient to everything: great restaurants and the tennis tournament. The rooms were very comfortable, and the living space was perfect for the four of us.
It was a super easy check in process and the owner was quick to respond to any of our questions while we were there. Great location and can even walk to a few restaurants! House was recently renovated and was like staying in a new house! The upstairs was great for the kids. Plenty of room for all of them and big bathroom.

We spent the week in Charleston for the 2020 Thanksgiving, with our adult kids The house was great, clean and in a vey convenient location. Enjoyed our stay and will def look to stay again in the future. Ric the owner was super responsive and very helpful.
