This unit has potential but needs more information in the listing and more amenities within the unit.
Location is nice, close to a couple of family friendly beaches. Both pools were great (towels provided) but closed early. Lots of shops are nearby, but although you have a kitchen there isn’t a place close to get groceries. Plan on making a stop before heading to Waikiki. If you have a car, plan on paying for parking and valet. There were some fun events in the Ilikai, hula show, live music and fireworks on Friday (could be seen from the bar area just below). It was nice to be on the 3rd floor, since the elevator was very busy and took much longer than expected.
It should be noted that there isn’t a washer and dryer in the unit, but on the floor and is a pay machine. The furniture was nice and you can tell that the unit was recently updated with appliances and renovation, but it has not been well maintained. It was very dirty when we arrived. Couches, light switches, towels, showers, toilets and bath mats all looked and felt dirty. It says it sleeps 6, but one of the couches is a twin bed, and the other sleeping spot is on the couch. It was fine for our kids, but an adult would probably be uncomfortable.
There was one boogie board at the unit and a couple old rusty chairs that we opted to not take to the beach.
Overall, I wish we would’ve opted for hotel stay rather than a condo at this location. The owner was very responsive and helpful.
