Adorable historic home conveniently located near restaurants and attractions - we thoroughly enjoyed our time here, felt safe and comfortable and the home was stocked with all the basic needs you would want.
Beautiful Historic home, well maintained and inviting. The host is great and responded well to all questions. My mother was delighted with her room as it displayed beautiful antique furniture and simple decor. She had a hard time going up and down the stairs into the home but we have already shared recommendations with the host and look forward to returning to this lovely home.
Great location, nice place very accommodating owners. Attention to detail on refrigerator/ freezer and toilet was knocked loose only constructive feed back. Front gate wouldn’t lock, was open upon arrival

Kevin,
You all were excellent guests! We would gladly host you again! We hope you enjoyed our wonderful city!
The maintenance man must have forgot to latch the gate all the way. Thank you for closing it. And thank you for letting us know about the other observations. 🤗
Thank you for choosing The Roosevelt House!
Our stay at this home was overall very enjoyable! We loved the charm and character of the older house, and it was incredibly spacious. The beds were very comfortable, and having a washer and dryer was a huge convenience for keeping up with laundry during our stay.A few things to be aware of: this home may not be the best fit for anyone with mobility issues. The stairs are quite steep, and my mom had a difficult time going up and down them. Adding handrails at both the front and back entrances would also improve safety. The gate leading to the walkway was broken and couldn’t be secured, which made us feel a little uneasy. We also couldn’t find any trash bags, either in the kitchen or stored elsewhere in the home. The shower took some figuring out—the handle has to be turned a certain way, and it takes a minute or two before the hot water comes through. Lastly, the bathroom could use a little updating, as the caulking around the tub is separating in several places.Overall, we had a great stay. The home was clean, well organized, and full of character. The host was friendly and very responsive whenever we had questions. We’d definitely recommend it to others, especially those who don’t mind stairs.
The house is beautiful! However, I would recommend living room chairs to be replaced. The living room lights The rugs throughout the house need to be shampooed or replaced. Need new mops and brooms. The vacuums in the kitchen should be cleaned out properly or replaced. The white vacuum made the house stink when I used it and the black vacuum kept turning off. The front entrance gate was not locked. I don't believe it works at all. The house does shift so there was problems closing and opening the doors. The restroom door unhinged twice but I was able to secure it back properly in place. During morning check out the code to the drive way was not working for some reason. We tried it several times and it would beep. I had to leave voice messages to property owner then had to speak to a Vrbo representative to get the code up and running again. I don't know why that was but you can loose precious time dealing with this issue if you need to make a flight and this happens. You may find yourself loosing at least 30 minutes getting this resolved. All this aside, we really enjoyed our time there. The rooms are very spacious. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed a good night sleep. There was also plenty of parking on the side of the street for extra cars. I would definitely choose to rent this property again in the future.
This is a great place to stay in San Antonio. Some great restaurants within a couple miles, downtown not far away. A bit chilly in February, but our host took good care of us.

The house was nice for what we needed. Not much area to lounge if that’s important. The biggest concern we had was the neighborhood. There were people walking and yelling, approaching us at night and very early in the morning.
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The host was absolutely amazing. She gave us great ideas of things to do with our young kids and made us feel at home. We loved the house! It’s updated nicely and is cozy. Highly recommend staying here. Centrally located so you can be to all the great tourists sites within 10-15 minute drive and some you can even walk too.

Thank you, Lindsay! We absolutely loved hosting you! Come back anytime! We are so glad y'all made wonderful memories!!!
The house is lovely. It truly has early 20th century charm. The large windows, brick columns, cute walkway, iron fence, and architectural details of the home were all adorable. The hosts responded right away to any questions we had and offered great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Over-all we had a great time. The only downside was the neighborhood. It isn’t quite as deep into the King William district as we were hoping, and didn’t feel as secure as we liked.
The location is a convenient drive to all the attractions throughout San Antonio. The interior of the home is cute and clean, beds were comfortable. Provided the basic necessities for our weeklong stay. Communication with the host was always prompt and helpful.
Property was very charming and clean! Each room was decorated with beautiful furniture and comfortable beds. The host was very accommodating to our needs and did a great job communicating all of the details as well as answering all of our questions. The location was great! A short drive to downtown near plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping! Would definitely visit again!

The house was nice, clean and relaxing. Beds were comfortable and kitchen stocked.
The neighborhood is up and coming with close proximity to downtown.
The walking trails and park that are across the street were an added bonus.
