About this property

In the middle of the beautiful hills of the Provence, surrounded by olive trees, medieval villages and (rosé) vineyards lies the charming villa “St Maur” of which the oldest part (a chapel ) is over 300 years old.

The house has a well-equipped kitchen, a large open plan living room with fire place and dining area. In the main house there are 2 large double bedrooms (one with an extra children’s bed) and a bathroom with shower and bath. The adjacent guest house (Maison d’Amis) is connected to the main house by a covered terrace and has 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. There is also a utility room with a separate toilet and a washing machine. All the rooms have a fans.

The house is situated in a 10.000m2 private garden, laid out over different levels which gives the house its unique character. Stone steps lead down to the gorgeous private swimming pool with sunbeds and an extra fridge.

If you follow the ancient church path behind the house, it is a 14 minute walk to the picturesque village of Bargemon. The village has bakeries, a small supermarket, a great butcher, a pharmacy and several restaurants. The village square is a great place to have a coffee with a croissant and watch the village life go by.

You are in the middle of rosé country, with the valley of the Whispering Angel less than 20 minutes away. There are lots of markets, brocantes and excellent restaurants in Clavier, Seillans and Fayence. There is canoeing down the Gorges du Verdon or kayaking and pedalo on the Lac de Saint-Cassien and excellent golf (and lunch) at Golf de Saint Endreol within 30 mins drive. And if you want to go to the beach, St Maxime is about 45mins drive.

If you are flying in - Nice Airport is about 1hour 15 mins.

Un merveilleux séjour

Villa paisible et reposante

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans une maison très belle très bien agencée. Le cadre et l’emplacement est idéal pour des vacances reposantes. Notre hôte était adorable avec une écoute totale de nos demandes. Je la conseille les yeux fermés.

Maison au calme avec vue spendide

Nous avons passés 10 jours superbes dans cette maison. La vue de la terrasse est mémorable. La maison est très bien équipée. Étant partis à 2 familles la présence de l annexe avec ses 2 chambres et sa salle de bain est un vrai plus. Le village n est qu à 15 min à pieds et facilement joignable par le petit chemin à l arrière de la maison. Merci à Joanne et son mari pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité !! Je recommande vivement cette maison.

Heerlijk huis! Mooi uitzicht!

Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit huis! Fijn zwembad van 10 m, goed om baantjes te zwemmen. Het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Je kunt naar het dorp Bargemon lopen via achter de woning beetje een klim, maar terug naar beneden. 15 min max. Alles is aanwezig! Heel fijn dat er horren zijn voor de ramen zodat ze ‘s nachts open kunnen blijven. Het was erg warm toen wij er waren. Wij hebben de annex (2 slaapkamers los van huis wel heel dichtbij) niet gebruikt aangezien de kinderen dichtbij ons wilden slapen. Een 5 sterren huis! Bedankt voor het verhuren van dit paradijsje!

The most amazing house and sweet host

We loved our stay at this beautiful villa in Bargemon. We spent every day of our vacation relaxing by the house and the pool and enjoyed the view over the valley. The city of Bargemon is a small but very lovely place to visit in the morning and pick up your daily pain au chocolate and an espresso. We would definitely recommend and return to the house.
