There are two large neighborhoods in Quebec, here is the description. The first neighborhood, old Quebec, is the one that everyone will visit. At the beginning, the fortifications were to protect themselves from the English, now it's to keep tourists inside;) In short, this area is super beautiful, you will love it. On the other hand, it is mainly made for tourism. You can buy an "I LOVE QUÉBEC" t-shirt there. The second is mine. The city center which is right next to the old fortification in 10 minutes on foot you are there. I highly recommend this neighborhood. Here you will live with the locals. Rue Saint-Joseph is a superb commercial street where you will find everything you need without even using your car. On this street you will find Everything you want Shop of all kinds, cafe, restaurant, bar, nightlife, grocery store, pharmacy etc. all within walking distance.
You won't need your car here, Everything done on foot, If necessary the bus system is very efficient.

The bed frame is super wobbly, so it is impossible to get up or even move at night without waking your partner. The AC was very ineffective, and the shower door falls off often. Decent proximity to Old Quebec, but not very comfortable
Starting with the positives, the location was smacked on a street packed with restaurants and cafes and a supermarket around the corner. For those who are not adverse to walking uphill, it's quite an easy journey to the waterfront and all the major Quebec City attractions.
As far as the apartment went, a note of caution for travellers with lots of luggages - there are no elevators in the apartment block and storage can be a bother if you arrive before check-in time.
The door to our apartment was really hard to close and open and it seemed to be out of alignment with the door frame. The mobile A/C unit was extremely noisy and couldn't cool the room adequately plus the only window in the unit couldn't be opened to let fresh air in because it was sealed. Finally the TV didn't work as there was no coaxial cable connecting the TV to the antenna outlet. Even YouTube didn't work and kept buffering before freezing every few minutes.
I hope the owners take remedial action to make this apartment a much more enjoyable stay for others.
Kitchen could use a pot to boil water, etc. otherwise we’ll equipped & great location. 6 stars

Unsafe neighborhood
The street was blocked off to this residence and parking was unavailable nearby. Located city parkade and felt very unsafe leaving vehicle unoccupied overnight. Neighborhood is full of degenerates and crackheads. We abandoned the 2nd night and found a hotel in a safer neighborhood.
Excellent location and access to the city for anyone who doesn't mind walking up steep hills. The AC unit is very loud, the hallway and stairwell odor is tough to get past but once inside you have a decent room. The immediate area provides plenty of places to eat, drink and see. Responses from the host were a bit delayed and while we asked for a spare bed because the description indicated they would provide one if we asked, it wasn't actually provided. Luckily we'd planned ahead and brought an air mattress just in case. I'd stay there again even with the lack of communication from the host.
Overall, this is a great place to stay! My friend and I love to walk and this spot was great for navigating around downtown QC. There are several lovely boutiques, restaurants, and shops on the street. The grocery store is also only a block away. It is a bit of a walk to Old Quebec, but it was fun to explore the different routes to get there and really soak in the old European influenced city.
The room worked for our stay, but I should note a few things during our stay: there is AC but it is quite loud (we're heavy sleepers though), the bathroom door is a barn style door that does not really close fully or lock (this is a privacy thing), and some of the linens on the bed should be replaced (not just washed) as they had a lingering musty odour.
Otherwise, this is a good value place to stay and would recommend for those traveling on a budget.

Le matelas et le lit doivent etre remplacer!!!!
Sinon très propre et bien aménagé!
I booked this to attend a conference at the convention Center. As I planned to be mostly out and about, this was very conveniently located close to groceries, old Quebec, and the conference. I liked the code-based checkin.
Bien équipé et facile à utiliser mais dommage qu'on ne puisse pas ouvrir la fenêtre pour aérer. Améliorer la literie car le lit grince dès qu'on bouge. Insonorisation moyenne avec les voisins d'à côté.
Great neighborhood, responsive ownership, awesome laundry lady!
I really loved staying at St. Joseph Street in St. Roch, right across from the best poutine place in town! The property manager was very forgiving when the wooden baseboard of the bed broke; it was fixed the next morning when I was away. The laundry ladies were also super helpful in providing towels and showing me other machines where I can wash and dry my clothes. Mon dix jours quand je suis la québecoise honoraire est tres bien! Merci beaucoup!
I enjoyed my stay in this loft in Quebec City. it was clean and had everything I needed. The location was great, within walking distance to the old city and close to restaurants and shops.
The apartment was clean and well appointed with basics. It is located in a busy neighbourhood with lots of shops and with a grocery store just down the block. The Wi-Fi reception was good but the TV has only Netflix available. We would stay there again.

The price was reasonable and the place had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. I like the simple but clean set-up. Even if we arrived late on our 1st day, we felt safe walking in the neighborhood. The lockers which were available to us at the end of our stay was also a big plus.
It was accessible from the train station and the bus stop. It was good that we were able to take make full use of our day pass as the two nearby bus routes took us to both the lower and upper towns, since my friend had a minor mobility problem. This was an issue for her taking the stairs but we both managed to help each other so it was all good. Thanks for being part of our wonderful experience in QC.
Very nice and clean place. Just two steps to many restaurants. 15 minutes only to the Old Quebec. Fully furnished and has all kitchen's staff. I'm strongly recommend.

Tranquille et bien situé dans la ville. J'aime bien le fait d'avoir accès à une cuisine pour cuisiner durant mon séjour.
