Beautiful lakefront home! Our group of 6 (3 couples) were perfectly comfortable for our weekend stay. The beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed and loved having our coffee on the beach.
Absolutely beautiful home - the roaring fireplace and gorgeous kitchen were a wonderful addition to Thanksgiving weekend with my in laws! The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive when we had a few questions throughout our stay. The house is on a quiet street but everything seemed well cleared from the snow that had came through a few days prior.
This is our second stay at this beautiful home, loved it so much the first time, we came back again! The home is incredibly well stocked with everything you need from kitchen to comfortable bedding, outdoor furniture, etc. We enjoy the serenity watching the barges and trains across the river. The Frontenac/Red Wing area has so much to explore.
Emily was a wonderful host, and very responsive to all of our needs! The property and location is beautiful and perfect for boaters! There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy including; paddle boards, kayaks, ladder ball and cornhole. Would most definitely recommend!
I stayed here with four women and we loved the home! It is spacious and beautiful, with plenty to do nearby. The views are lovely, and we enjoyed sitting by the lake. The oven is tricky but the owner has done their best to prepare and help guests with this. I would also note that purchasing insurance or making a material security deposit is required, I wish I had known that prior to booking.
We spent a winter weekend getaway with our adult children, spouses and grandchildren.
Spacious. Comfortable. Spectacular view. I’m sure this property is amazing in the summer!
Layout made bathroom use challenging. Upstairs bedroom door didn’t close properly. Appliances could’ve been cleaner. One hand towel wasn’t clean. Some bed linens weren’t clean (sand in one bed).
Our entire family enjoyed the stay at the cabin. Beach was beautiful, the house was very intresting, we loved all the unique qualities. We would definitely come back again.
We were celebrating a couple of family birthdays and had a wonderful time. The property is stunning and the owners very accommodating. A bonfire on the beach looking at the stars and listening to the waves lapping on the shore was the perfect way to spend the evening. The house is very well equipped and the beds are so comfy. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful building by a wonderful lake. Roomy, well decorated, unit was the perfect fit for our family reunion. Individuals could go boating, swimming, hiking, exploring or just hanging out starring at the lake.
We enjoyed our stay. The one criticism is the condition of the water/beach area. The condition of the water was weeds and algae. We would probably not rent again unless this has changed as we could not get into the water at the property. Your home is well designed for a family of our size. We did leave comments regarding some some suggestions. Thanks, Wayne...
We came here for a girls weekend. Everything was perfect. The property manager, Emily is amazing to work with and the home is stunning. Will be back for sure. Quick and easy drive to Lake City/ Red Wing. Highly recommend!! It’s less than 1.5 hours from the cities. So convenient and gorgeous.
Only bad part was we wish we had brought water shoes the beach was nice but the water had a lot of sharp rocks!

About the host
Your host
My husband, Chris, and I are raising our 3 boys in nearby Apple Valley, MN. We have done large scale renovations in the Twin Cities area together. We try to spend as much time as we can at the cabin in the summers and open it to guests as we are able (especially during the school year.) We'd love to host you and hope that you find this home and the Lake Pepin area as much of a sanctuary as we do.
