Thank you so much, Nicole! You were such a great guest. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay.
We enjoyed our four night stay at the Mavie house! Both the check-in process and the check-out process went smoothly, and I was impressed with how promptly the host responded with answers to my questions. This property was clean with plenty of gathering space and seating for my group. We especially enjoyed both porches and all the natural light in the living room. The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and well-stocked! The listing did say there would be a pull-out couch in the living room, but instead there was an elevated blowup mattress that slept two stored in the master closet. This property is in a fantastic central location close to Magnolia, other attractions, food, and groceries. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Waco.

Everything was clean! The place has been beautifully renovated, not just a hasty flip. The layout and amenities make sense, and we were very comfortable.

Thank you so much for your review, Samantha! We are so thankful for wonderful guests such as yourself! Please come back any time!
The 4 of us on a girl’s trip each had our own room. It was very easy to communicate with the host. The living and dining areas were roomy enough for conversation and games. The kitchen was well stocked. I have back problems so some of the beds were too soft. The twin beds were hard. The showers were slick and could use mats. However, we were very pleased overall and will stay there again in the future.

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. We will work on some of your feedback as well. Thank you so much! Come back!
The house was both, spacious and cozy. Beds were comfortable, heating and cooling were both on point. (That’s important when the mornings starts at 60 degrees and it’s 80 degrees by lunch). Loved the decor, loved the location- no complaints. I was also pleasantly surprised to find seasonings for cooking already stocked, yay! Did I mention the front porch and backyard? Perfect for my family. I had a great stay!

About the host
Hosted by Phylisia
Hello! I’m a Native Texan and Teacher! I grew up in the Texas Hill Country and Waco. My grandparents planted their roots in Waco. The house is actually named after my grandma. She was the sweetest soul! I love homes. My dad was a home builder, so I grew up around all sorts of homes. I enjoy designing floor plans, outdoor areas, and interiors! I enjoy gardening and taking care of farm animals. Traveling abroad is a new favorite of mine. When I first heard about Airbnb I fell in love. I really enjoyed the various designs and characteristics of the homes on Airbnb and thought, “How can I do this?” That’s how it all began! I want my guest to feel cozy and peaceful at my home as I do when I’m here. God Bless!
Why they chose this property
My childhood best friend actually grew up on this street! I was on this street a lot growing up! Her home is a light blue stucco home two blocks down on the right toward 29th street. The homes between 26th and 29th are just beautiful and historic. They have so much charm!
What makes this property unique
We really strive to make our guests feel comfortable and peaceful here. Also, I do EVERYTHING in my control to help guests feel comfortable during their stay. Anything you need, call me, and it’ll be delivered or fixed asap!
